Riichi Mahjong is actually pretty fun, but like mentioned, it's incredibly confusing for new players. The basica concept is just to make a hand with 4 melds (three of a kind, or a small straight like 2, 3, 4) and a pair. However, you also have to satisfy a yaku condition before you can declare a winning hand, and the yaku are many and hard to remember.
Hanafuda turned into my favorite game out of the whole package and I'm sad to see it so low on the list. It's actually simpler than other card games, so I'll explain the rules below as short as I can. Each month of the year is represented by a flower, and each flower has four cards for a total of 48 cards (less than a deck of normal cards). Some cards are worth more than others, and these are represented by a system of 0 to 3 stars in the hints function, which is extremely helpful. Each player begins with 8 cards, and another 8 are visible in the table. Your goal is to accumulate the best set of cards on your side by pairing a card on your hand with one of the same flower in the table, kinda like Blackjack. Once you pair a card from your hand with one on the table, you keep both on the side and have to draw one from the remaining pile to the table to make it an even number. If that new card matches its flower with one on the table, you can pair them and keep them as well. If you can't match any cards from your hand you have to put one of yours on the table and then put a remaining one there too. The round is won by the first player that accumulates a complete set of cards from the pre-made list of sets that also appears in the game's help. The amount of points you get from each set is based on the value of the cards and how rare it is to get them, exactly like Blackjack and other Poker games. The game is usually repeated for 3, 6 or 12 rounds to accumulate points from the sets, and the player with the most points by the end wins.
It's literally not - is correct. It's all about avoiding to allow your opponent to make any boxes until that's literally the only move you can make, which makes you lose the game. The opponent will just make box after box and win. The exact same thing as in 4 in a row and Gomoku. Doing everything to not let them score a win until you literally have no other move left but give them the win.
@@the8thark Spoken like someone who can't do the same to the opponents. Just because you keep losing doesn't make the game bad. It means you're bad at the game.
Enjoy! It’s by far my favorite game I have for my Switch! Such versatility! Games for when you wanna be quiet and sit and think, games for when you wanna be noisy and rambunctious with friends, physical games, brain games, touch screen games, Joy Con games etc etc etc!!

4:04 holy crap me and my brother on a sort of daycare, but outside with an entire forest and food and all when we got bored we collected bottle caps and went to the saloon table and did something like this where the person that pushes the most caps on the ground wins, we always collected more until we played with like 20 of them

You said you wanted to rate each game based on how deep and replayable the game is but you put the deepest and most replayable game, riichi mahjong, in the bottom three. Yes, the game is complex, but the complexity inspires rich strategy and tonnes of excitement. I bought 51 clubhouse simply because it had the best English implementation of riichi available. Sure, it takes more than 15 minutes to understand what's going on but that time invested will reap literal dozens of hours of excellent gameplay. Give riichi it's fair shake.

@@penguinkirb3759
It's an opinion based on not wanting to put any effort into learning the games or AI properly.
I totally agree though
Video would have been 10x better if it opened with “Good morning Good afternoon or Good night depending on your timezone...”
Thats not possible. its a video, not a live stream
Yeah doesn’t he only do that in his streams
4:35 I like that you stopped the clip on that score. Nice.
69 points
4:23 Ah, yes. I, too, also enjoy shooting UFOs in the classic Link’s Crossbow Training
The balloons and ufo section is from Mario party 2 or 3 I think
Nathanial:”blackjack is boring” Me:plays blackjack for hours on end.
7:41 So we just gonna ignore the most innuendo sounding one on the list?
I don't understand. Toy Baseball absolutely destroyed me at beginner but here you're saying it's the easiest thing in the world lol. Poker, Blackjack, Golf, Fishing and Air Hockey are some of the BEST games though!!! Still gotta try War, Toy Boxing and the Slot Cars! So much fun!
7:12, the arms seqaul looking great
Riichi Mahjong is actually pretty fun, but like mentioned, it's incredibly confusing for new players.
The basica concept is just to make a hand with 4 melds (three of a kind, or a small straight like 2, 3, 4) and a pair. However, you also have to satisfy a yaku condition before you can declare a winning hand, and the yaku are many and hard to remember.
Nintendo: Hit and Blow
Me, an intellectual: M A S T E R M I N D
Remember Castle Clearout from Mario Party 9? 6-Ball Puzzle is actually more similar to that Mario Party 9 minigame than Puyo Puyo!
Facts
it's nice they included hanafuda, but out of the 7.7 billion people on this planet, how many knew Nintendo actually made these cards
Blackjack: AKA that one boss fight in Resident Evil 7.
Failboat: “Maybe why I’m not bowling consistent 300’s anymore”
Me: Bruh I can’t even get a 150
"Dots and boxes is a deeper game than you might expect" It litteraly is not.
In terms of estrategy it is way deeper than what I thought
looks like someone lost too many chains
I mean elementary school me thought this. Adult child me.
I'm so excited to get my hands on this game ! The only thing it is missing is a monopoly !
Enjoy! It’s by far my favorite game I have for my Switch! Such versatility! Games for when you wanna be quiet and sit and think, games for when you wanna be noisy and rambunctious with friends, physical games, brain games, touch screen games, Joy Con games etc etc etc!!
We've gone from Mario to Clubhouse Games.
I feel like I missed something.
9:13 this game also appears as a bonus game in Mario Party 9 funny enough
I love all the Wii play and sports elements they brought back in this
RIGHT?! As soon as I put this game in my switch and saw all the similarities, plus a whole bunch of new great games to learn, my inner child just became SO giddy!!
I love riichi mahjong, but it took me two years to learn the ins and outs on my own before I was able to teach my whole family to play. I made cheat sheets and everything, then I was able to teach the game in full over a course of 4 to 5 games. Great game, steep learning curve.
Please make "How Clubhouse games 51 worldwide classics triggers you" video, I really adore your trigger videos, thanks!
He just did. It's this video. All the games he didn't want to put any effort into learning he just gave a worse rank. This is triggering us all.
the8thark i know, this is the worst ranking video
* Reaches Toy Tenis *
* Wii sports music plays *
Ah yes, the game that inspired this game
In my country, ludo is called 'human dont get annoyed'
your from the netherlands, right?
I have LOVED this game particularly nine men's Morris, Takoyaki, hanafuda, Carom, and billiards
real talk, Dominoes gives me flashbacks to the half hour games of dominoes in the original game's stamp mode
4:04
holy crap me and my brother on a sort of daycare, but outside with an entire forest and food and all when we got bored we collected bottle caps and went to the saloon table and did something like this where the person that pushes the most caps on the ground wins, we always collected more until we played with like 20 of them
8:05 Imagine Sevens being in number 7.
Dots and puzzles at #7! This is just a deterministic game where the first person always wins if they play right.
Why is this like the best game this year lol
Until Paper Mario...
Um, Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
@@markus8086 nah
Because BOTW 2 isn't released this year
Markus I would have to admit yeah that’s my favourite this year but give respect to other stuff instead of wasting your life
Aiden Animal Crossing Doesn’t Waste Your Life It’s Just A Morning Routine
for the answer for the puzzle in 7:49 i think it top to bottom pink, blue, grey, yellow
In Germany there is also a variant. It's called "Dont annoy you" or in German: Mensch Ärger dich nicht.
In dutch it is the same (mens erger je niet)
4:50 A cool fact is this is a Italian game and is famous in Italy.
Nathanial: billiards
me, an intellectual *pool*
this list is giving smooth brain energy
"Yatch dice" or as everyone calls it "yatchzee"
I know it as "generala" its a game i played a lot as a kid with my sisters and parents. And yes, it has always been generala
"Kniffel" for me
There are a lot of classic games in here. The renegade game is actually Othello, and some of the games were on the wii, like the shooter game. I don't know why I needed to say that. I just did.
I love how failboats doing a voice. Even while being scripted, he's adding his charm in
I know, it's cool, but his voice just drives me crazy. Hi GUyS itS FAIlboAt!
i find most of the minigames remastered from older titles from the wii and wii u
but its really cool the extra games they add
4:24 = Similar to Link's crossbow training
Wii Play - I'm I a joke to you?
You said you wanted to rate each game based on how deep and replayable the game is but you put the deepest and most replayable game, riichi mahjong, in the bottom three. Yes, the game is complex, but the complexity inspires rich strategy and tonnes of excitement. I bought 51 clubhouse simply because it had the best English implementation of riichi available. Sure, it takes more than 15 minutes to understand what's going on but that time invested will reap literal dozens of hours of excellent gameplay. Give riichi it's fair shake.
All we're missing now is R U S S I A N R O U L E T T E
I think Takoyaki is really underrated. I really really liked it!
