There's points where I just can't tell the difference between medium and ultra except more fps. So probably one of the only games I'll gladly play on low / medium
low doesn't look bad enough and ultra doesn't look good enough
The all difference I see between low and ultra is just water and shadow quality and more some sort of decals. Ultra and medium are completely the same. I think that's why fps depends mostly on resolution rather than graphic quality
There seems to be some difference between the textures in some of the clips. Look at rock textures in the very last clip. In other places, textures look pretty much the same.
For me ultra looks sharper than medium from your comparison. But ts not a big deal. I think low looks fine too but the lack of leaves in the water is not great. I doubt anyone's gameplay will be any better playing on ultra instead of medium or even low. Im running the game on a 2070 laptop, 8750h cpu, 32gb ram and the game runs really good medium settings 1080p fsr2. the lowest fps so far is in new atlantis with 30 ish fps. But the thing is even at 30 fps the game feels smooth, I get not stutters like in hogwarts legacy at hogsmead. So far I like the game, but I dont like the instant space travel to anywhere.
@Benchmark Lab Well done! Perfect way for my eye to easily compare the settings. Thank you!
The low and high settings are almost the same. That's why I think it gives low fps
Same story with Elden Ring
@@Benchmarklab That's why I think it gives low fps
@@AlgosMister thats why what? cant understand you the first time you say it
@@AlgosMister why that would be though
@@paquito4147 When you set the settings high , let's say fps 70, when you set it to low, it becomes 60, so what's the difference?
Low is totally acceptable for my GTX 1070 👍🏻
thanks for the video. do you know which particular setting affects having those moss green leaf stuff at the very beginning of your video? im playing on steam deck and i think that probably is the only thing i should set on medium.
The only differences I can spot are higher resolution textures, shadows, cube maps and light probes
Such a weirdly optimized game. The medium settings are nearly as good of quality as the ultra settings minus some shadows, so it’s weird that there’s a 100% performance increase going from ultra to medium. Finally got it running at a solid 60 fps (except for some parts of New Atlantis) on my 2080 ti at medium settings with the DLSS mod at 50% of 1440p. Looks a bit blurry, but that’s the only way I’ll be able to handle it at 60 fps. Hopefully future patches will optimize it more for Nvidia cards.
use Reshade and activate Luma Sharpen and Adaptive Sharpen plugin in it, and you'll get a 40-60% boost in texture sharpness immediately!
I’m hoping they integrate dlss at some point natively. Fsr sucks for nvidia cards. The mod is nice but there’s no quality presets
I think i need glasses cuz i see no difference.
was just saying same thing, I mean im old but didn't see that much of a difference
Glad to see I’m seeing the same thing what are these graphics
i get a 20 fps boost in the city on my 3070 and 9700k... I'll play on medium until I update my rig. Planning on getting 14 gen intel this year and a 50 series card when ever it drops
In this video all three looks almost similar. But on my pc there is a lot of difference between low and medium, especially the textures on rocks, apparel, spaceship, npc face etc. They are a lot sharper and more detailed for me on medium settings.
textures don’t change at all, there’s no option for it
@@ltodom5884 turns out it is a bug. Some textures don't load for me when fsr is set to low. Like floors and rocks near me seemed stretched out. Only fix is either run it with 80+ scale on fsr or run it on native 1080p. So I'm running it on medium native 1080p. Fsr 80 and native 1080p doesn't seem to have any perfomance difference for me.
yeah so i buit a pc for a client and he said he wanted to run starfield other games and work (CAD)
so got him 12700KF (cheaper than 14700KF
32GB Ram
RX7800XT
so i tested the game in ultra and then in High and noticed a massive difference in frame rates but not visually except maybe fog and lighting -__-
now my machine is
5800X3D
32GB Ram
RX7900XT
played and tested on 3440X1440P and get nice frames but like wtf after this vid im questioning stuff
i know cyberpunk when it came out medium vs high made no dif on frame rate on my then GTX 1080
My rx 6600 cant give me constant 60 on medium settings in cities and some planets. Seems like low settings are not that bad but certainly helps to fps. idk
are my eyes and brain broke. I can’t tell the difference sometimes.
2014 level of graphics and thats a high ball
Serious question..
If you get the game on pc game pass. Will it look worse than buying it on steam.
No
What is the diference?
nope, all textures are the same..there is no difference, but look at the first chapter, there is no decals on the water low settings.also shapes are the same, expect the sof shadows..yeap we gotdifferences but not huge..go to medium, for the stable fps,and dont use fsr with medium settings..but if you choose high or ultra then enable fsr(ultra 77% upscale)..
Thanks !
So...probably not worth the $2500 upgrade. Yet.....
I don't get how people are describing Starfield's graphics as great. This is hands down the least impressive triple A title I've seen in years when it comes to graphics, both because of its uglyness but also because it runs so extremely bad on PC.
This game has worse graphics than most Skyrim mods
the playstation fan copium is insane
Game just came out not to mention this game will be improved with those same graphic modders
@@augustyn2.0 I have a series x. I paid for and downloaded pre-release access. Immediately asked for a refund because the graphics and gameplay are so terrible. Keep bandwagoning corporations that don’t give a shit about you and just want your money. You’re the reason they are allowed to release this garbage year after year.
@@shoelacethesecond1607 yeah I didn’t pay for the eventuality of mods in the future. The amount of excuses you people make for a multi million dollar corporation to keep releasing unfinished garbage is mind blowing. You are the reason they get away with this shit
@@newbtuber333You didn't pay for shit cause you didn't even buy the game lol
Say what you want about the gameplay, but at least on videos (I don't have the game), as Dutch would say "you're one ugly mofo". I have yet to see anything which validates the insane system requirements. Nothing.
Def a scheme to make people upgrade their cards. No way this should run as bad as it does.
ugly graphics like fallout 4
Lol you are blind.
wow was this released in 1980?
lolololol no difference
7 years of developing
most disappoint 2023 game
redfall came out this year, i think that's a significantly more disappointing game lmao
Forspoken said hello
Mmm nope it's just awesome, you play it?
Every time there’s a big Bethesda release there’s invariably those who will choose to hate it no matter what. It was the same with Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout 4.
Хаахах😅😅
The game has terrible graphics and performance, the game is also very boring
how do you know? you never played
how do you know? =)
no it's not, cope harder
Let me guess: you only play obscure indie games with a ‘cult following’.
am i blind? see no difference
No )there is almost no difference, only FPS
I recomend you to play at medium if possible. high and ultra give almost no difference in graphics quality, but you will notice the fps drop.
