Only in a recent interview, Tarja admitted that Diva is about what she went through during the break up with NW (athough I am pretty sure that everyone who listened the lyrics already knew that). But Tarja is very classy in that sence, she never puplicly talks anything bad about her former band. Anyways, all is good now. I am just super clad that she still performed this live... it is such a good song!

The first time I heard this track I nearly screamed, the studio version has a county fair/circus music flare and combined with the lyrics and the theatrical way she sings "Diva, diva, diva, diiivaaaa"... like, the pettiness :D Deserved, to be honest, after Bye Bye Beautiful and Master Passion Greed she deserved a little catharsis for her anger about how this all went down. They called her a diva in the letter they published for the public and she was like well look at me, diva, diva, diva. In interviews, she was always really respectful and classy about her former band members. To be fair, Tuomas never really talked badly about her after the split either. I'm glad they're on somewhat good terms now. Thank you for the reaction! Glad you had a good vacation :)

She has always had a beautiful voice and I'm glad to hear that she "responded" to that fiasco 20 years ago. I actually like her voice better now than I did when she was younger. It has matured beautifully. And, said with a joking tone, Nightwish had another great singer besides the three women, and you reallly should take a look at Marko's work outside of Nightwish, also. If you want to start back in time, I would suggest the song "Tides" that he did with his band Tarot. Or, jump to present day to hear the new single he released abou a month ago titled "Left on Mars" featuring none other than Tarja.
You may like her singing "Stargazer" with Nightwish. She hits these crazy high notes. No surprise that this song was off their setlist since her departure from the band.
