Thank you! Love the yoga mat idea!!!
You're so welcome!
I LOVE that you bring up all theese things! I feel like the aerial culture is a bit toxic when it comes to romanticizing burns and bruises like it is something cool to collect and protecting your skin is for the weak. I believed this too when I grew up in it but now I see how useless it is to not protect yourself! But I would never have thought about the yoga mat! I am currently practicing that exact skill an I am like you say. I go into the position and my body says "no we aint doing this..." it is super frustrating 😅
Don’t give up. It will become better. Condition and warm up properly and get used to the position. After use lots if close and protections 🙌
Thanks for the ideas!
I’ve tried the socks with toes cut off for my elbows, and boot/leg warmers for the backs of my knees and use them all the time.
Something that people may already use but is also a staple for my training is two short ropes to hang across the bottom of the hoop and grab onto while I’m building up my resistance to the pain of hanging from my heels and backs of my knees. :)
I am glad that it works
Love the yoga mat idea 👏 brilliant
that is hysterical--my back is so scraped up, now I know I shoulda packed my matt around my mid section for those unexpected back balances😆
haha, yes- whatever helps 🤗
I wear weight lifting gloves for hoop as it stops my hands tearing! I'm all about padding everywhere haha. Trapeze boots are great for foot hangs etc. Also, for training drops my instructor put a foam tube on the bottom bar - you couldn't feel a thing!
That is such a great idea for hard bottom bar drops! 🥰And the weight lifting gloves - awesome 👌🏻
Thank you! Great tips! 🤩
I am glad if they help. 🤗
Thank you for sharing with us
Thank you for your feedback 🥰
Oooh I love these meta videos with tips! Thank you :)
Another topic would be: how to progress / plan one's own training progress. I feel I have been plateauing recently and maybe it's because I have been working only on individual moves and haven't worked on creating a choreography in a while. So yeah some best practices to keep thing "improving" would be amazing :)
Yes, they are simple but super helpful if you want to train regularly
the yoga mat is an excellent idea. I use neoprene, but it's not thick enough. Thanks heaps
haha, it took a while to get that idea 😅
Thank you for you Videos❤ i habe to teach aerial hoop my self and ots a lot easier with ppl like you 🫶
Thank you. I am glad to hear that 😍
