Notes for this video:
1. Apologies for the lack of external shots of the train moving at high speed. This is incredibly difficult in TSW when trains are going 100mph or more, as you can't pause the game and move the free cam at the same time. The train simply moves too fast for you to get ahead with the camera!
2. Apologies for the green box to the right of the image at the start of some video clips. This is caused by Nvidia ShadowPlay indicating the recording has started, and I forgot to cut some of them out!
Games like this deserve more camera options for sure. Great video, like always 👍
For anyone wondering the hiss at 160kmph is a horn change making the horn slightly louder due to the higher speed (faster than 100mph or 160kmph)
I wonder if anyone was wondering.... 😄
@@unkelartgarf3792 I wonder if anyone was thinking about replying about wondering if people where wondering
Jokes aside I didn't know that and it's really interesting ; does the sound also get louder in game tho ?
@@marcheauxfruits6584 yes it’s fully simulated in the TSW3 version of the class 395, something that was not in TSW2 version of the class 395
@@damianc.0.681 there is also a sound like air flowing about 15 mph, do you know if it is door lock or something like that?
Thanks for that video. TSW hits the sweet spot for me. I'm a truck driver and areas like Kent, Nordrhein-Westfallen, Kassel, Dresden, Leipzig I visit basically every week due to them being the fastest route from Poland to UK. Seeing them in different perspective while recognizing the surroundings from the real world is a really nice feeling. Im glad you came back to making videos again. You're proffesional.
Dziekuje! I visit Poland quite often and love the railways you have there. Thanks for your comment :)
@@PTGRail oh thats nice :😀
Hi, at 26:50 there are two black boards that come from the french signalling system. These are called « coupez courant », for cut (traction) current, french translation for a neutral section. This section of track must be passed with all MCBs opened, or for some units, pantographs lowered. You didn’t mention them as I think these are not mentionned anywhere in the route manual, furthermore the TVM 430 system allows for these neutral sections to be managed automatically by the train (we call this a « ponctuelle », for punctual route information), unfortunately this hasn’t been simulated. Maybe in future videos you could talk about this particular thing of this new route ! And as a french train driver I can assure you there will be huge electrical problems on the line if you pass neutral sections with 100% power 🤣
I’m aware of the existence of neutral sections on UK routes with overhead electrification, but didn’t realise they were present on this route. I can see those boards now you mention it! In the UK, the train driver is supposed to cut power to idle to pass through a neutral section. I didn’t realise the TVM system can manage these automatically, but like you said they haven’t been simulated in TSW. I will bear this in mind for future videos though! :)
Hey when’s the next one mind asking
Great video and I think you showcased the route really well and I love the extra details you add about the names of the infrastructure and other route details. Hope this gets added to the TSW3 in Game Tutorial Video link section as a mini-route guide or something.
In love with this type of videos, I can see that u put so much effort on this... Congrats!!
Thank you! 😊
@@PTGRail when are u making videos again
He only makes videos when he has time off as a signaller. Makes sense. Work is more important than RUclips.
Brilliant video!👍 I have to say I'm loving the extended Southeastern network, especially the Dartford branch
I'd never make a train driver.
This is far too relaxing and zzZZZ
Looks fantastic, by what I've seen so far.
👍
Thank you for your video. I am normally a flight simmer, but I have really enjoyed this ride and will definitely obtain this Sim World 3 and maybe one day pass you on one of the routes
Please add more videos I luv u :))
Hi, how do you get around learning routes to be able to play without using the HUD? I've wanted to do this for a while but have never put in any serious effort into it. Is it driving the route initially with the HUD on and taking mental/physical notes of where key features are such as stations, signals, landmarks, braking points, etc?
Basically, yes. Take actual notes, you will never remember the mental ones. Next time you drive the route, you can further refine your braking points. Drive with the HUD on and get a basic idea of how far you have to brake. For example, when route learning the London-Brighton route, I knew that from 90mph, I should brake at about between 1.5-1.3 miles from the station. I’d take notes of any landmarks at those points, and go from there.
Wow, I wish I were skilled enough to drive without the HUD like you do; that looks like great fun. Great job, and thanks for the video!
love the weather and lighting improvements, but for me the best improvement - tunnel lighting
I love you videos mate, we need more!!
A very well done a great ride well done Paul in Kent
This new weather system really adds a new dimension to your videos, I like it 🙂
Would be interesting for Preston - Blackpool North
TSW is back 🤗
Great vid! 😁
New subscriber
Really nice narration, enjoyed the journey.
According to dadrail (youtube channel) the notches on the class 395 are for guidance only, and that power control is actually continuously variable
Amazing video. I haven't played this route yet, but now I think I will.
Hey my friend I have followed you for years and love your channel you are awesome please please keep making great vids be safe much love
Jason
We want more videos!
We need more Leeds routes! Do Leeds to Kings cross
Thanks for another video Can’t wait to play Train Sim 3 on ps4
Ever thought of reading audio books? 😂
All seriousness nice video and thank you so much for taking the time to do these. Learning isn’t always slow and the process to record and edit takes time.
You even add little apology notes to the comments. All in all you’re a great creator.
Hope you have a nice day
Where are more videos?????
Do you have a TVM tutorial? Interesting how the sunflower is on the whole time
Hey Pete! Hope you aren’t gone again already. Really enjoying the content. Hoping for more soon!
Can you do ScotRail Express: Glasgow - Edinburgh next?
Why no videos for 6 months? Hope you are well.
He is currently in signal training/(school?) for Upper Holloway station.
Been waiting on this oneee!
Talking of high speed I would give money to which ever company who did a Train Sim World version of the Japanese High Speed Rail Network...
Tokyo to Osaka via Hiroshima would do just fine.... :) It is one of the fastest lines in the world. I think their top speed is 300kmh...
@PTGRail you forgot to mention after Ebsfleet International to Ashford International the line's maximum permitted speed is 300 kph and you also forgot to mention that DTG added one Driveable TGV service as a test service but it only appears if you've got TGV route installed for TSW3.
Probably find they've added four driveable test runs for us to do on there.
Hello PTG, will we see more Train Sim World/TSC content (for example the ATS london - leeds merge) and the WCML from Euston to Liverpool and even the TSW Edinburgh - Glasgow
Will you ever do JustTrains' Metropolitan Line or even the fanmade Virtual District Line, or was the Bakerloo Line in TSW2 the last straw?
Can you do route learning on routes out of Sheffield? With northern. If not then any new routes with northern. Id really like to watch that
Is there any chance you can do York to Doncaster via Wakefield Westgate and keep up the awesome work mate
Amazing could you do train simulator class 700 brighton to Bedford updated?
Amazing channel been watching alot
I think you should get a raildriver if you don’t have one already. Reason being the massive amount of train simulator content you do.
Hey PTG Rail. Are you enjoying your job as a Signaller? I work as an F&B operative at a Hotel in central Sheffield.
You did the 395 which wasn't a extended section you could of done up to Dartford.
The extension included Ashford and Dartford.
@@irishrailways22000 yes but he never did a video doing the Dartford branch
PTGRail I've stumbled across your channel looking for a route learning videos. Your videos are excellent would you be doing Cajon Pass and Horse Shoe Curve for Tsw3? I watched your Sherman Hill route learning video to help me with the route in Tsw I can now do it without the hud. Keep up the great content.
Thanks for your comment! I’m interested in covering all routes in TSW in the not too distant future. :)
@@PTGRail great really looking forward to seeing them.
Hi Peter, hope You are Ok? Would You say this is worth buying if You own TSW2? And Do your addons get transferred over? Take care mate John!
Hey John - good to hear from you! I’d say it is worth buying, and yes the add ons do transfer over. Please drop me an email at ptgrail@gmail.com so we can get in contact again! :)
Can we have a pacer video mate. Miss your pacer uploads
Hi do you still do trainspotting in real life at the station any station
Can you do London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street On Train Simulator Classic This Route Is Possible in Train Simulator With These Following Routes DTG WCML South, DTG WCML Trent Valley And WCML Midlands And The North West From Alan Thomson Sim I Would Love To See You Do a Route On The West Coast Mainline From London
I'll consider buying TSW3 when I see a video that isn't packed full of audio and visual stutters.
Any audio stutters are caused by Nvidia Shadowplay, rather than the game itself. FPS drops seem to happen when the weather changes, but it’s not game breaking for sure.
I think it might just be your computer. I haven't seen any visual stutters apart from the occasional FPS drop.
ptg rail a volvo b7rle has 290bhp so can accelorate better then a class 395 javelin
A car can always accelerate better than a train! But alas, those 16 traction motors give a combined power output of 4,480hp, which I forgot to mention.
Когда новое видео?
May I know ur graphics card plz?
In the video from last year he stated he uses an RTX 3070
Why can they not bother to make a full route? Everything is partially done. I'm greeting so tired of dovetail doing the bare minimum. Finish the route to Dover.
When is your next video buddy from Alan in the
When is your next video buddy from Alan in Lowestoft buddy
He is currently working as a signaller so he is unable to upload until he has a time off at work.
The NPC's seems confused at start of video
Don't know how I feel about the sponsorship by DTG. Sponsorship I have no issues with. But DTG steering the direction of this fine channel according to their agenda (often dubious) is a cause for concern.
DTG aren’t steering the direction of this channel. They’ve sponsored me to make two videos, both of which are now complete. :)
I'm not buying anything else from Dovetail... Same graphics, physics, trains, with the previous ones. Just a different number after the title. I bet that next year will ask you for more money for Train Sim World 4... TS2023... and on and on..
