@@NoNameAtAll2 put it in demon mode, add some water and max fire. Gater some pressure and when ready let it in the engine getting some speed. When only a little water remains fully shut off the engine valve and wait for the last little bit to boil. Wait until you have 100+ pressure then fully open the water input. It won't flow because of too high pressure. Wait for max temp then slowly open the valve to the engine (it should already be going quite fast from earlier) to about 40% open. Then pressure will drop but when it reaches 100 water will be added. The water will instantly boil providing pressure. Then slowly open the engine valve to around 54% or 55%. Then wait until it reaches max speed. If you open the engine valve or reduce pressure too much in any way the temp will also drop so water can not instantly boil meaning water pools and rapidly decreases temp creating a vacuum which stops the engine.
You can go faster. LEast in current version. I made my steam engine go 16000 RPM when trying to put the power generator spin very damn fast ( my highest was 212k or something ) and it needs super heated steam. technically by side shifting the heat source toward the side, where it will put less heat to the water, but most of it into the steam, it heats up the steam which makes it go even faster in high pressure. But me, the way I did it was to keep a boiler pressure to barely 250 PSI, so I could inject water. The heat source in devil mode is 3000W ( ratehr than 1000W ) so I was injecting enough inflow of water that it would vaporize instantly from that 3000W heat source. So all the heat was heating up the steam instead. I think I brought it up over 6500C or something at one point. it was glorious.
I reached 850 rpm, and what you have to do is to build up much pressure (of course) and then only open the valve slightly, save your steam and only open it fully all the way in the end. Edit: I hope you understood what my monkey brain typed
I got up to 4687.3 rpm, with 60% throttle, just enough water getting in the tank to keep 50-60 psi at 150°C. You can press the "?" button on the bottom left corner to see the parameters more clearly. And lower the quality of the simulation to it's minimum by pressing "N" and scrolling down.
If you turn in the water valve so the water doesnt run out and the air is continuously pressurised by the water and its should go faster ,im wondering why it didnt purge?
You can disable the pressure blow off valve (i think demon mode automaticaly does that). The water input pressure maxes out at 100psi so you can't just add more all the time.
@@nerfgodbigguy1405 the issue is that 100psi isn't really enough to go really fast. yes it will go forever but the force it has will not reach the peak.

Lol same i made a yt short expecting it to get 500 views and in a few days it hit 1.5k 😂

I never knew that it had a ,,devil mode” that’s how I would call this mode
@@TalksWithNoise Ok thank you
@@Raphael-vh1wv and to exit the mode either type sorry or click the youtube link
It is referred as daemon mode by the dev.
You have bothered the dev mode
it doesnt work for me@@TalksWithNoise
my record is ~4200 rpm. And the best part is it could go indefinitely because the water was always open
how?

As an engine enthusiast I’m definitely getting this game
A yes, the electric device that is used to start the engine, the "alternator"; all my hommies hate the starter motor😂
exactly what i was thinking
that alternator in reality a starter

Wish you would make more games for steam like this one!
Even like a V8 simulator!
theres a ICE engine simulator from the same developer
4300 is easily achievable (i did it by fiddling). However, closing the throttle off somewhat seems to be the key to getting that high...which is odd.
Rockets have a nozzle for the same reason; a little high energy exhaust is more efficient than a lot of low energy exhaust.
i remember i got (in the normal mode, not the devil type of thing) i got it to go CRAZY it went to red line immediatly, but i dont remember how sadly,
I would like to see steam engine 2. I want to see a duplex engine with a tube boiler.

Get the engine running as fast as you can without the water level going below 1/2 a tank.

It's nice, but it needs more work and clarification

Shorten the stroke, I think that would definitely increase the rpm output
try to beat 4693 rpm

btw its a starter not an alternator
