I detail cars. The term foam “cannon” is associated with the ones that hook up to a pressure washer. The style you have are referred to as foam “gun” despite the manufacture title. They hook up to a garden hose. These type systems are not designed to totally clean the car, even the pressure washer cannon ones. They are designed as a pre-wash to loosen up the surface dirt and rinse it away before doing a contact wash. It’s safer so no loose stuff will scratch the paint.
Thanks for sharing your expertise. I've seen the pressure washer ones - they look pretty cool but are a bit expensive. I like this foam gun style as a simple soap applicator. Have a great day and stay safe.
There is no such thing as a spray and walk away potion out there. I use a pressure washer that can take the paint off and still leave road grime. This device is designed to spread soap all over the vehicle so you can wash it off with a cloth of some sort. For what it's designed for I think it works pretty good. Keeps me from dunking a cloth in a bucked for an hour.
Like Ron Romano said, This car wash cannon system is not meant to wash your car. You still need to manually wash the car by hand once you soap it up with this. I see so many who bought this complaining that it doesn't clean your car properly, well, news flash, it's not meant to do so without help. That's like going on a diet without doing exercise. This device will soap up your car real good, which is better then soaping it up yourself by hand, but in order to clean it well you still need to "help it" by manually cleaning your vehicle. This is just a tool to make the spread of soap easier and evenly.
6:58 that's because the Jeep in the commercial was already clean BEFORE they sprayed it with suds. Just like the guys in shaving commercials that are already shaved before they put on the shaving cream.
I have the same system. Although I use rain-x spot free car wash. A little expensive but if your trying to reduce time this eliminates the drying step. Foams really well. I use a mitt and a clean rinse bucket after soaping down. Then rinse, soap, let soak, rinse again (to get spot free results). Then done. BTW to get dirt and grime off tires use simple green straight and a tire brush. Do that first. 😊
Just bought one and used it before watching this video. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought it was cure all for dirt and bird poop. 😂 definitely going to use it for a soap gun though it will make washing the car way faster. Thanks for the review and advice!
Tip: Maybe Instead of pressing the handle slightly maybe Loosen the Adjuster Nut all the way out that way when you Press the Nozzle it barely engages the "Plunger" idk forsure if it would work but sounds good to me...
I mean got it on sale recently took my 1 hour dumping a cloth or sponge to 15 minutes works great for what it’s supposed to do. I wasn’t expecting power washer type foam lol but it gets the job done.
Thanks for the review- I enjoyed it. I think others have said it already: this is more of a pre-wash solution to loosen unbonded contaminants. And then use it again to soap up the car for the hand-wash. Since it doesn't have that pressure washer power, you can use a product like ONR, one ounce per canister full of water, as the pre-wash to encapsulate the non-bonded dirt for safe removal, then foam some soap for the hand wash and it makes for a safer wash for the paint.
Good little review . . I Purchased one a few weeks ago . It is great for making suds , and like you mention already , that is half the battle .... Having to use a brush or sponge to wipe it off isn't a big deal . 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂 On another note , soap kills and repels most insects . Spraying around your home's exterior twice a year with this beauty , will keep all the creepy bugs at a comfortable distance too..... Personally I love it !!👍👍 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Just because you spray the vehicle, you still have to brush or use mitts to wash the vehicle. The foam just looses the dirt. The spray nozzle is weak and will not last, buy a metal hose connector. Also, your vehicle needs wax and dry the vehicle a silicon wand.
Have a 2019 Nissan rogue bought new & never took it to the car wash all washes I did myself, no swirl marks at all. Just bought a 2020 Mazda 3 used & it has swirl marks that I have to remove, bought a DA polisher & meguires ultimate polish. Point is never go to a car wash do it yourself. Car washes do more damage
Use chemical guys sticky snowball, best stuff out there extremely foamy and will stick on longer than any other product. I highly recommend you check it out.
I have the carwash canon. With a car that has a quality ceramic coating, that's the only way it will come clean without following it with a non-scratching mitt or pad (brush will scratch it).
Interesting gadget! It’s unfortunate that it didn’t work as planned but thankfully it could be used as something else! I used to have a Jeep Wrangler ! I miss it !
That’s a bummer. It’s car the beginning of car show season in New England and this would have been a game changer. Maybe for maintenance cleaning it would be good. But for bird turd and just from being outside., not so much. Thanks for reviewing this!
I was a little disappointed in the results...although the claim seemed unrealistic...I like it for a weekend carwash with a Scrub brush. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I would probably not spray it with water first. I will most likely spray it with soap first, then scrub it with a brush, and then spray the soap down. Because the soap is going to mix with the water just from the garden hose pulling the soap up from the vacuum it creates from the water flowing over the soap.
Try setting 3 I found this post but you will still need to scrub . The nosel might need to be held different so you get good pressure not my post I got one for me and one for my son. I used mine the day I got it. One full blast it don't do so good but dialed l it back to no. 3 and it blasted foam out ...
Doesn't work like its supposed to water barely came out of hose and wasn't a pressure wash type . The soap used never came out with any consistent pattern to the water mix . Got disgusted and just used a washcloth type on the truck this product is a waste of time . But thanks for explaining it with those stellar directions included in the packaging I wasn't sure
Not even a pressure washer should replace traditional washing, I detail cars and you should rinse, foam up, rinse, foam up, and hit it with a microfiber mitt.
I purchased one of these things because I have back pain which prevents me from scrubbing my car and I am very disappointed with this product. I have to do almost the same amount of work as before so this is not for me. I think I will keep looking for a product that helps me scrub the car with little effort on my part.
Yaaaaa unfortunately there is no "magic " machine that's "wash less" or "hand-less" meaning less work... when it comes to washing cars/trucks, you still gotta hand wash it with a mitten.. this is a lot better then dunking your mitten into the bucket 1039393 times and foam the car and just use mitten to wash it completely , then rinse and dry with micro fiber! I love it
If you thought it would clean the dirt and crap off without a brush your ignorant. They sell these for 70$ at air conditioning supply houses for cleaning coils
👆👆👆👆What's a little $20 for this cannon ??, by the time you connect your little "pressure washer" fill it up with soap and pull that handle to turn it on, using this cannon will complete the wash while your fiddling setting up your pressure washer... so in the end, you wasted more money on a pressure washer then me wasting $20 lol 😆

Thank you for saying this! I don’t have to. These reviewers need to do some research and what exactly the products they reviewing is ment to do

I would think the cannon simply replaces a bucket and you would still need to wash the vehicle the traditional way. Thanks for the review.😉

Mine came with the connector adapter already screwed onto the sprayer and I can't seem to unscrew it.
Great review as always! Enjoyed your VERY HONEST OPINION of this product!

Yeah I had you use a wash mitt to get a good cleaning.
Thanks for sharing your experience! 👍
The extra attachment is for quick connect garden hoses. But I'm sure you know that by now. Nice video.
Lol. Thanks for the tip. 👍
You still need to wipe and scrub the car with a wash mit.

I just got one for Christmas I am going to try it out tomorrow.
Very cool, let us know what you think. Have a great day and stay safe.

You need a soap that is made for foam cannons, for me the it gets the soap all over then I use a soft brush to wash it.
Not even a pressure washer should replace traditional washing, I detail cars and you should rinse, foam up, rinse, foam up, and hit it with a microfiber mitt.

Great review of a product that looked wireless. I wouldn't waste money on it
What type of soap are you using?
I have the same one and it doesn't foam 😭😭😭
If you thought it would clean the dirt and crap off without a brush your ignorant. They sell these for 70$ at air conditioning supply houses for cleaning coils
That's the ASOT claim...cleans with a spray and a rinse. Sadly it didn't work as described. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
You still need to wash with a kitten or brush after spraying foam on it.
Yes, you definitely need to wash the car after being washed... not sure about the cat...lol. thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 🙂
How tf you hook it up to pressure washer
Sorry carwash Cannon doesn't hook to a pressure washer...check this one out...it hooks to a pressure washer: ruclips.net/video/WC910QupbCs/видео.html
Thanks for the quick reply i just figured that out lol
Lol... absolutely!
@@Jeffreviews4u okay thanks man appreciate it

Add more soap
It's a former! You have to scrub without a bucket !
It's the soap u used
What kind would you recommend?
Which way do you guys prefer to wash your cars, the ordinary way, the car wash way or the foam cannon way?
I use foam spray and hand wash.
It will not clean the car, it is like a pre-wash
I agree! Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
Naw I don't like the way that's coming out. Need something more stronger
I agree. A pressure washer powered one is much better. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
Waste of money, you can just use a pressure washer on light setting, and do teh exact same thing, they all come with a soap dispenser
👆👆👆👆What's a little $20 for this cannon ??, by the time you connect your little "pressure washer" fill it up with soap and pull that handle to turn it on, using this cannon will complete the wash while your fiddling setting up your pressure washer... so in the end, you wasted more money on a pressure washer then me wasting $20 lol 😆
..makes no sense..still need to go over it with a mitt..no thanky
Lol...definitely needed some elbow grease. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
This is not that good the soap goes by quick and still have to rise and dry , I wasn't to happy with this product!
Crappy product
It's not as good as others, but it gets the job done. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 🙂
That's not worth 10cent! Foam cannon is flushing it's very bad thing I wouldn't recomend buy
This is stupid. Of course you have to scrub to agitate.
Lol. Those silly infomercials are misleading.
You still scrub the vehicle it’s just a foam gun 😂 special
