I epoxy all 3 pieces together for the chin pad riser. It is silly this piece is sold in 3 pieces when it should be just 1 piece. Another thing I did was leave the pole spring front mount out of the detent until I get the main pole bolt all the way in. Once the pole bolt is in, I push the forward spring mount into the forward detent. Do this with the base all the way forward, it is basically unloaded at this point and the spring is easy to manipulate. This process makes it MUCH easier to get the main pole bolt into alignment for the far side entry. Great vid, wish I had seen it before I did my install, a few useful tips.
When you cut the carbon tubes or even on the uncut ends run a light bead of super glue on the end, that strengthens the ends and stops them from delaminating.
You should machine a slave pin to fit the bracket with spring etc…might speed things up a bit for you….just a thought….I thought it might make it a nicer process x)
Can anyone confirm... Ive come across a few guys I ride with that have aftermarket poles, but when surf riding, if the ski gets away and ends up rolling from the surf, or when on the lake and pulling a barrel roll, the aftermarket poles have a habit of not allowing the ski to right itself and can hold it upside down due to the weight.. New pole really makes the ski look sharp, but Im a little cautious over this now.

I have only ever ridden on a 1989 Kawasaki 650, but have always been interested in freestyle jetskiing and surf riding. I would love to know what aspects of a ski make it better for getting into those types of riding: Power required, hull design, dual carb/single carb, pole length, how much one could expect to spend to build/buy a ski with that capability, really a full breakdown from someone who has experience. I have very little knowledge but would love to see a video that went through those details.
I have absolutely no idea how someone can install one of these poles without a video like this. Thank you so much for posting this.

In other applications you don’t use all three pieces, that’s why it’s sold like this
