Let me add another. My sister always told me, “never live in a home that you can’t afford yourself.” So if you have a partner/roommate, make sure you can swing the rent/mortgage yourself.
I had a roommate for a few months and both of us were on the lease so neither one of us could screw the other over. My advice, if you ever share make sure you're both on that lease
I would also suggest cool lightbulbs in warm bathrooms and warm lightbulbs in cooler bathrooms when applying makeup if you don't have natural lighting available. This method makes the space neutral. You want your undertone makeup to match the world. This will stop your makeup from looking too orangey or gray looking when leaving the house.
Opposite - I love the soft warm amber ambiance. It's like a candlelit glow vs harsh stark dentist office cold white I even use cafe au lait hued lampeshades to give it more amber Think of the cottage painting by Thomas Kincaid with the fireplace and warm candlelit glow in the windows - magical!
Pay the extra money and change your light globes to LED. They last longer and are cheaper to run and so save you money. When you move, don't forget to change them back and take the LED's with you to the new place.
I love love this video so glad I found your page I’m about to move into a older apartment because it’s cheaper then where I currently live and I want to do some renter friendly upgrades to the apartment.
Every apt no matter how small or large I change everything using peel n stick…floor and kitchen backsplash.I don’t paint …but I change stuff live happily we work to hard
i like day light bulbs for task (bathroom), but anyhwere else i like soft white ~ more towards candle light than work light is how it hits me. all the m oney spent in the living room was worth it. that wall looks fantastic! xo
I love the warm amber glow! I even use light brown lampshades to get that ambiance! Think of Thomas Kincaid cottage paintings with the amber glow in the windows, so cozy!
You have the right set of mind! Amen! Why to waste money monthly on rent you can’t afford when you can spend it once on decorating how you want! Plus you can take all your decor with you 😅 Just loved it when you said that!
Hey JuJu! I am new here! Fun fact I am JuJu as well. I'm moving into my new apartment, and I am most definitely looking for projects. Thanks for the video!!! # NewSubbie
The first thing with an ugly place, clean, from top to bottom. Which will make it smell nice. Lighting is second. Then hit the thrift stores. Buy unique pieces. Pieces that will draw the eyes, it will take away from the ugliness bc ppl will be looking at all the nice stuff

Love warm tones in new builds but in older homes I feel like it emphasizes the old-ness 😅😁

I got the led smart bulbs and turning everything on with my phone is a game changer. Plus you can change the colors!
I used to feel the same about cool vs warm light but I prefer warm again now. It’s calming and upscale in the right space
Understandable if the place is already upscale and doesn’t look worn, then warm is a great choice but mine isn’t 😅
Love your eyeshadow and how the top compliments your skin
Thank you! Tried something new 😁
