Ahhh I already wanna go back & experience this all over again!!! Do yourself a favour when you visit Japan & give a temple stay a go 😍 Anyone else agree??
Did both of you have an argument over some guy? is that why we are getting solo videos now? Or is it like a game that one plays on who can ignore each other the longest ? ahh, us girls ....always complicating everything. then making up again when the guy gets us upset and we team up together with Girl Power, and frat over the destruction.
I took my mother to Koyasan when I was living in Osaka 92-94. We were served dinner in our room. Vegetarian meal of numerous small dishes and Kirin and rice. So great. My mom got lost going to the bathroom lol. One of the monks had to help her but they couldn't understand each other. The chanting I'm the morning was amazing. everyone should do this in Japan. Those bean pillows are something out of the Spanish Inquisition 😂
I'm Japanese, and currently study abrorad student as well as the working at Restaurant in Sydney. Thanks to you, I can use some specific expressions for customers. (I highly recommend〜. as well as 〜) Thanks as usual, take care and enjoy your holiday! For subscribers(patrons), I watched all of videos, seerasan's videos(perspective, choosing the place, interaction) are amazing. Keep going! Enjoy your way(study/visit/know Japan)
I can't believe sake comes in poppers - that's an image I'll forever associate with primary school and now I'm imagining a bunch of primary school kids sipping on sake at lunch time haha!
Just waking up to an American breakfast and enjoying your video. I always love the tours to the various locations. For now, I will enjoy American coffee and dream until I can visit there too...
So cool! We also stayed at a temple in Koyasan when we were in Japan recently and it’s definitely an experience I recommend! Our temple didn’t have the massive grounds like yours does though, jealous!
This was so nice. Morning is such a beautiful and peaceful time to be awake, whether in an urban or rural environment. Just... waking up so early sucks so much!! I did the shukubo experience at Koya-san. Same general area, I guess? I feel like it was about an hour by train south of Osaka, southwest of Nara. A couple of transfers to older and older train models, then a cable car, and finally a bus that drove along some very steep roads into the town with roughly 80 or so temples, many of which offered shukubo accommodations. I stayed there a few times, actually. I remember one trip I befriended another traveler and we went out after dinner to a local restaurant and got karaage and had a few beers. I guess that was a little naughty after our truly delicious vegetarian meals, but it was part of the fun at the time! I love it there at Koya-san, it was so peaceful. And there is so much history there. There's a massive 1000+ year old cemetery with a lot of famous historical people. You might think it would be creepy, but it was so peaceful and fascinating, nestled in amongst these massive cedar trees. Lots of ancient stonework. A volunteer tour guide will walk with you through it and give you a lot of historical information. I highly recommend Koya-san to anyone who is interested (not sponsored, I swear!). If you do go, you can book online. Just search Koya-san and you'll find info about it.
Haha, you DO love the kotatsus, don't you. Can't wait to try one out myself. I have put this temple stay on my bucket list (which is getting longer with each of your videos). 💜 Going to Japan next year (spring). Hope Tokyo Creative will also offer an organised tour group again at that time. 🤞
Yes, a temple stay would certainly be high on my bucket list for Japan! I love the idea. I stayed in a monastery in Venice a few years ago. Great experience, so different to staying in just a hotel.
Oh my god, a ceremony. Thank you so much for sharing, lately I’ve been watching religious studies phd’s on RUclips, Like formulas lol & watching you take in part in a ceremony is pretty awesome
OH MY GOD, this looked so amazing!!! I want to do this for sure!!! Thanks to you, I will probably do this some day. I've been going to Japan a few times this year, and looking to go again later this year. I just went to Nara, so this will probably be in the future. Thanks for showing this!!!!
Whoa! First time I see a non-Japanese RUclipsr showcase this side of Nara 🥳🥳! We live 5 minutes away from there, and I keep thinking how beautiful and peaceful this Chogosonshoji complex is on Shigisan! Thank you. My family enjoys your channel
Sarah, you made my brain melt for a moment! 🤯When you showed the meal room, I thought that I had seen this video before! But I was just remembering it from your recent Tokyo Creative video!
You always are pleasant and happy in your video's, but in this video your excitement and joy was off the charts for this experience. I admit it did look like an amazing experience to have. As a dedicated carnivore I'd need the sausages. To the crass comment, I couldn't find anywhere that a cost was stated. So what did this experience cost?
Recommend walking through the cemetery in Koyasan. The first half is uphill and brutal on a warm day but it feels like something out of a Ghibli movie. Although I freaked out a little when we came across some wasps that were chonky boyz
Mikey Chen (aka Strictly Dumpling) visited your awesome home Australia & boy, do they have some tasty looking food there, including some quality Japanese food. 🇦🇺🇯🇵😋
This was awesome! BTW, did you say why there were tiger-themed things everywhere? I remember you saying 'I'll touch on that later...', but I must have missed if you did. 😃
This looks awesome, are there menu options or at least a way to know in advance what will be served? As a picky eater the idea of kaiseki or a surprise menu is terrifying lol.
@@wasabigirl2004 I'm not that versatile in german cuisine but I think normal Hefeklöße are just steamed while Dampfnudeln are steamed in a pan until all water has evaporated, creating a crunchy crust on the bottom. Hefeklöße also often have filling and are more on the sweeter side while Dampfnudeln can be sweet but more often are savory-salty and eaten on the side to potato soup and vanilla dipping sauce
@@LaNoir. That sounds right. My 'Dampfnudeln' were never crunchy (hehe), and we ate them with a sweet caramel sauce. Oh, dear, I am having cravings now... THANKS, LaNoir
Have you been to Onomichi? If no, I think it could make for a cool video. It's an old port town near Hiroshima on a mountainside with a cool historic temple walk.
thank you, however, I would suggest you used a more appropriate music track for this beautiful temple ~ something in the culture too relate/identify with
Ahhh I already wanna go back & experience this all over again!!! Do yourself a favour when you visit Japan & give a temple stay a go 😍 Anyone else agree??
Yes, lotus root and any kind of potato is awesome in tempura ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Every video I watch makes me change my itinerary!! ...In a good way haha

Japanese student abroad working in a Japanese restaurant, lol. Since I am a westerner living in Tokyo maybe I should get a job at Burger King.

It shocked me too when I first learnt they were sold in poppers too lol
Japanese Buddhism has always been so appealing to me. Sorry but I loved my bean pillow and had forgotten all about it. Now I want one again.
Someone out there’s gotta appreciate the bean pillow 😝
@@seerasan There are those who like the bean pillow and those who dont. Thus the universe is balanced.
Temple looked really modern. Nice to see behind the scenes of one of the earlier video.
I love the Zelda graphics at 10:30! Nice little touch.

まさか自分の町の信貴山に来てくれたのは嬉しいです😊また同じ平群町に千光寺(1000年以上前からある伝統的なお寺)っていう小さなお寺で泊まれるところがあるので是非機会があれば来てください。
This is right up my street
It's a very massive gomagi for the morning goma prayer. Anyway, it seems you had a nice sacred experience there.
Great experience. TFS

Lovely, keep it up!
The map stickers where pretty cool
Traditionally, Japanese Buddhist temples have served as universities and elementary schools.
The lodging house was like a student dormitory.
Awesome video 😁
Interesting place and food. As for ghosts... don't worry. If ghosts really existed, I'm sure people would see them all the time. But they don't.
This was awesome! BTW, did you say why there were tiger-themed things everywhere? I remember you saying 'I'll touch on that later...', but I must have missed if you did. 😃
I need a shirt with "Surprisingly... 大丈夫" 😂 I'd love to have a temple stay experience, maybe next time 🤞🏻
I like the different content of your channel. Keep up the good work, new sub from me 🎉
I hope your wish comes true!
Here we go..., such a warm temple ✨ but I'm curious about why the flags and the gates is red and what the meaning behind them 😁
I probably missed it but you mentioned there are lots of tigers like the post box and you would explain it. Is it for Hanshin Tigers baseball?

Happy for you that you found someone. How is kie your camera man ? ❤u
I did not expect to hear Hefeklöße xD I personally prefer something similar called Dampfnudel, they're crunchy and salty at the bottom
Are 'Hefeklöße' the same as 'Dampfnudeln'?
I only ever made/ate 'Hefeklöße' in (North) Germany.
@@wasabigirl2004 I'm not that versatile in german cuisine but I think normal Hefeklöße are just steamed while Dampfnudeln are steamed in a pan until all water has evaporated, creating a crunchy crust on the bottom. tldr: it's similar but not the same, like an onigiri and a sushi roll have similar ingredients, but are made and taste slightly different

Just a regular Japanese bath (sento)!
😅shinto temple next?!

I’m getting serious de ja vu… didn’t Emma do a video from here recently ?! 😵💫
You’re probably thinking of the recent Tokyo Creative video in Nara, where I stayed there (during the same trip)
Now I would really like to see a temple that went with fast food as their side business.
How much does this temple stay cost? :)
11:15 a preschooler will have a very bad morning I guess (why do they make those so visually appealing to kids??)
“Interesting” 😂😂😂
I like the idea of staying in a temple, however the futons tend to exacerbate my back issues
Is it accessible for people with Tattoos?

Hi,
a word of advice, try to breathe & deliver your words more slowly. People will respond better. Your welcome!
'interesting' ie Still dont like that 😆
thank you, however, I would suggest you used a more appropriate music track for this beautiful temple ~ something in the culture too relate/identify with
Music choice was fine....it still vibed with everything she showed. If you want something like that make it yourself lol
Your accent is like a mix of Australian and German. Australaustrian?
