안녕하세요 여러분! 팰리입니다 다들 새해 복 많이 받으세요ㅎㅎ
오늘은 드디어 제가 12월 8일부터 차근차근 계획해둔 스타듀밸리 메들리를 마무리하는 날이네요! 스타듀밸리는 간단히 말하자면 농장 게임이에요! 저는 저의 친 언니가 작년에 추천해줘서 알게 되었어요. 처음에는 제가 모바일로 이 게임을 접했어서 이것저것 헤맸었는데 가면 갈수록 정말 너무너무 재미있어서 입시기간에 계속 '딱 셰인 이벤트까지만 보고 11월달부터 하자..' 라고 생각했었던 기억이 나네요. 뜬금없지만 제가 가장 좋아한 캐릭터는 셰인이에요ㅎㅎ
제가 자주 올리는 '평화로운 메들리' 컨셉에 이 게임 자체와 노래들이 잘 맞는다고 생각이 들어 만들게 되었어요. 이 게임을 알아가면서 놀랐던 점은 개발자 에릭 바론이라는 분이 혼자서 이 게임의 모든걸 만들었다는 거였어요. 저는 게임과 게임음악을 같이 좋아하는 사람이다보니 이 분이 정말 존경스럽다는 생각을 했고, 뭔가 하나의 씨앗에서 이후에 여러 나뭇가지들이 자라는 걸 한 눈에 보듯이 개발자의 다양한 음악들에 대해 공부를 할 수 있게 되어 저의 앞으로의 게임 작곡에 관해서도 이것저것 생각해볼 수 있었던 시간이었던 것 같아요.
6-8개씩 묶어서 연주를 했는데 총 3개의 파트로 나눠지게 되었어요. 처음 시작부분&봄 부분에서는 적당한 활기의 느낌으로 연주했고, 중간의 여름 음악이 포함된 부분에서는 아무래도 여름 노래가 많이 신나다보니 전체적으로 활기차게 연주했어요! 마지막 가을&겨울 부분에서는 앞 부분과는 다르게 조금 쓸쓸한 분위기를 생각하며 연주했답니다ㅎㅎ 잘 들어주세요!

Today finally marks the completion of the Stardew Valley medley that I’ve been arranging diligently since December 8th! Stardew Valley is, simply put, a farming game! I was introduced to it last year by my sister’s recommendation. At first since I played on mobile, I struggled with a few things, but as I kept playing it was so so fun that I remember often thinking during my College Entrance Exam period: ‘Just play until an event with Shane, and resume after November...’ This is random but my favorite character is Shane hehe
I made this because I think the ‘Peaceful Medley’ concept of my videos fits well with this game as a whole and its songs. As I learned about this game, what surprised me was that the developer, Eric Barone, created every aspect of the game by himself. As a fan of games and game soundtracks, I felt he is very admirable. Studying the diversity of his music was like witnessing a single seed sprout into many branches in the blink of an eye; and I was also able to reflect on many things regarding my future as a game music composer as well.
I connected 6-8 pieces for each part, for a total of 3 parts. I played the beginning/Spring section with moderate vitality, and in the middle which includes Summer music, I played energetically overall since the Summer music is quite exciting! For the final part of Fall and Winter, contrary to the beginning parts, I performed with a bit of a lonely atmosphere in mind hehe

Try going to any Minecraft song, for example, and hundreds of people will be nostalgic in the comments. I was one of them, too. It’s deeper than just “piano music”. It can be an important memory to some.
