A summary on the 5 HSBC rules:
1. Carry trade/Swaps/Intraday differential - They tend to buy the highest yielding currencies (US, CAD, AUS).
2. Monetary policy trajectory - Who’s expected to be more hawkish, buy that currency and sell the more dovish currency .
3. Moving averages (A confirmation to get in). - 4 & 40 Day moving averages.
4. Get into the most undervalued currency on a 60 day look-back period.
5. Valuation models. (REEL valuation model)
For those who are looking for Wage Growth news, it falls under the following categories in Forex Factory: For the US Dollar it is Average Hourly Earnings. For Australian Dollar, it is Wage Price Index and for most other currencies, it falls under Labor Cost Index.

I'm trying to learn more and more about forex every single day but I still have some questions and the most important one is: Let's say I don't have time for studying charts and I'm someone who doesn't know when to buy and sell can someone let's say who had made profits and knows what he's doing tell me when to buy and sell is it profitable. The second question is. There are lots of different platforms and I'm using meta trader 4, does every platform has its own market? What I mean by that is every platform has its own prices and fluctuations?
Take a step back and re-assess your method. Same thing was a problem for me too when i first got into trading, i went head on with out knowing enough. But along the line I started working on trades with my discretionary fund manager "Erna solbeg

I loved the interaction between you two. Humble, respectful and full of fundamental gems. I follow the same data like GDP, Inflation /interest rates, geopolitics, regulations, Wall St action for Bitcoin. Same applies to forex, stocks, commodities. Starting to look at how bonds, treasuries, t-bills, guilds operate.
Unfortunately traditional finance is based on debt. I suspect a lot of these bonds etc are going to be tokenised and absorbed into the crypto market via the ETF's. A win win for the Fed, a lose lose for the retail investor.
Consistency is really vital to our growth. As much as we have our technical data we shouldn't neglect the importance of fundamental data. Understanding macroeconomics of the asset you trade is vital. Following data that supports the that macro economics becomes more digestive to navigate the market.

New sub here, I think this is one of your better interviews! And I mean that in a good way, I just have a very keen ear for BS as a pro trader so I am fairly set in my ways and skeptical of anything anyone suggests - this guest has thus far essentially verbally painted my own strategy lol and I trade futures. He knows what he’s talking about
Unbelievable podcast, he’s so right about fundamentals are key I feel technicals normally line up with fundamentals so this give me more confidence to enter trades prior to news etc, I did have a really good understanding about technicals and a profitable strategy but I have a mentor now that teachers me fundamentals for the last year and it’s excelled my progress, to the point I’d feel blind trading without fundamentals
