I really dont understand why T1 had a spikes setter on each of their teams and made a layer of spikes only once throughout 3 games. The protects were way too passive. I thought Kubo read into that habit nicely by bringing an aggressive rain team in game 3. Pretty cool series.
For T1 : Skarmory is one of the easiest Pokemon to play. If you play it as a lead, make your Skarmory specially defensive. On turn 1: - If you see Zapdos, Moltres, Raikou or Charizard, switch out. - If not, set Spikes. That would work at least 60% of the time. The other 40% are just Magneton teams that you can't do much about (except for running Hidden Power Ground Skarmory, aka YOLO Skarm, but you lose vital bulk...). Of course you have to take into account what team you are running : - If you play some sort of Hyper Offense team, what I said applies 100%. - If you play a more balanced / defensive team, you have to be way more cautious and switch out more often.
Jimothy, if you have the visual glitch with spikes and leech you just need to switch the sides of the players twice (once it's enough but twice to keep the sides consistent) and that will fix it.
Ludicolo's Future Variant Big Sombrero is causing havoc at a local del taco doing the unthinkable: Rain Dancing on tables to drench the patrons burritos.
With ADV Revival going on, I decided to boot up Pokemon Emerald today and catch some decent IV pokemon based off some of the Pokemon I've been seeing here (I train non-optimal, but still decent EV/IV pokes to play with friends) and I decided to go to the safari zone to catch myself a Pineco. I found a Shiny Houndour on my final Ball and knew there was no chance I'd catch it. Predictably I got no shakes. RIP. I have a 133 IV Pineco which I'm happy enough with, but that Shiny did hurt a bit. Interesting day.
@@gratedshtick Thanks, but tbh it kind of worked out in the end. After the incident I decided to just use ACE to teleport to the safari zone, so I could use the normal battle mechanics instead (And these days I have limited time, so I knew it would speed it up). I know its not legit, but I did restrict myself to Safari Balls I cloned earlier. I decided to go get some Shuckle too and I got a great one with 31 HP and Def IVs, and 16 Sp Def with a Careful nature. Probably the best Shuckle I'm realistically going to get. It was fun to properly battle these pokemon because the Pineco knew Self-Destruct and Take Down, and the Houndours still knew Roar. So I had to bring Damp and Soundproof users. If I ever come back, I might bring a Smeargle with False-Swipe, Imprison, Self-Destruct and Take Down, so Pineco can't kill itself.
@@gratedshtick Update, I just hatched a Shiny Cottonee in B2! Its ability and nature really suck, but the shiny looks so good I don't really mind. This alone makes up for the houndour loss.
8:38 was a crucial misplay. Back against the wall you need to take a risk imo. Should've gone for Meteor Mash right into Jolteon. At +1 it def should still kill and maybe gives you a boost for rest of opposing team. Would've KO'd into Celebi and maybe brought you ought of Jolteon range
Late comment but d dancing infront of jirachi is correct imo, you need to outspeed starmie in that scenerio or else you lose as mence. Plus I think that gurantees the ko vs t-tar
"These players love their Celebis" God I hate Celebi so much lol the teams and mons I like seldom have a good counter. If anyone knows of any good ones lmk. HP bug on DDttar, HP fly on mence, overheat on moltres idk what else. Cant chip the bastard cause leech seed, recover, natural cure.
Yeah Celebi is just a hard Pokemon to deal with in general, it is quite flexible. I used to hate it too, until I figured some ways around it. You need to start playing Spike teams. Celebi really hates Spikes (especially from Drill Peck Skarmory). If you want specific counters : Fire types are usually very good. You could also run Mixed Zapdos with Drill Peck. Banded Metagross hits very hard with Meteor Mash and is not too afraid of HP fire. My secret favorite is Banded Flygon with HP bug, people usually don't expect it.

More Logan. The Thug needs to be pulling 18 hour days commentating absolutely everything that he sees during his waking hours
Any chance you could put the records of the players on screen?
The things that Ludicolo did…. they were unthinkable
13:10 i love when jim just randomly says "this is insane." i dont know why is it so funny to me sometimes lmfao

"This is a game taking place in the twilight zone, folks" Jimothy's the greatest commentator to ever live
Jimothy is back gamers! I did definitely enjoy the excellent guest commentary
14:24 "This is a game taking place in the Twilight Zone" I'm fucking losing it omg
A Thunderbird initiating a rain dance amidst a sandstorm is kinda scary😂
T1 being predictable by going for predicts every time
T1W1B here, my calc showed that eq deals more damage than ice beam
10:43
interesting. would not have expected that
Some of your Eq plays looked unhinged but I saw your vision, thy were good reads
Our boy T1 is allergic to spikes, and accidentally made his only move on the Skarmory protect :(

these players were playing 5d chess with these predicts
idk why but ludicolo seems like it would have a reigonal fake/variant
Ludicolo's Future Variant Big Sombrero is causing havoc at a local del taco doing the unthinkable: Rain Dancing on tables to drench the patrons burritos.
Search for Ludicolo Pokémon Iberia, the spanish variant of the popular fanmade game, if you haven't seen it yet. It's perfect.

I honestly could have played better but I'm happy to go 3 - 0. Also I d.danced in front of Jirachi because I knew it didn't have Ice Punch.

how did you know?
@@LoDart210 Jirachi already revealed his moveset : Substitute, Calm Mind, Psychic, Fire Punch.
These first three rounds feel like Yu-Gi-Oh when they have to collect enough stars from other players
These two are legitimately amazing players.
Love these videos so much man, always have something to watch while eating lol
This competition has been really interesting so far, I hope to see something like this become a yearly event
Thank you Jimothy. Thank you Baton Pass Into Celebi x45. This is insane
Some players are far up their 4D chess mode that common sense flies out the windows.
