MDFR Technical Rescue Specialist Program - Elevated Rescue Course

From March 19 through March 21, #MDFR personnel completed a three-day Technical Rescue course focused on rope rescue operations on tower cranes and antenna-type structures. These types of elevated rescues require rescuers to ascend open lattice-type structures using lead climb and rope access techniques. The training equipped participants with the skills necessary to reach stranded victims, employ specialized equipment and utilize techniques that are unique to these types of elevated environments.
