This is so relatable, Finding a group to raid in wow when I was a teen showed me how I could be confident and how other people appreciated what I could bring to the table. Other wise I was a shy kid that had 0 self esteem. For me it was more about the people that the game, but the game was for sure the gateway to find the people.
Absolutely, I totally get that. WoW has a way of bringing out our strengths and connecting us with people who see our worth. It’s amazing how a game can help us grow in real life. Thanks for sharing your story! 🫡
Thank you so much for watching and sharing in the journey! World of Warcraft has been more than just a game for me-it’s been a universe of unforgettable adventures, friendships, and personal growth. It's incredible to see how this game has brought people together across the world, inspiring each of us to chase our dreams both in and out of Azeroth. If my story resonates with you, remember that we all have the power to create our own epic journeys. Let's keep leveling up, both in-game and in life! Stay legendary, and let's make this community something unforgettable.
While playing World of Warcraft as a 19year old I've lost around 65 pounds. I was so hooked on the game that I did not overeat myself that much as I used too. On the top of that, I have started doing pushups while listening to the game guides. Now I'm almost 24, never got back to the old eating habits, keeping myself in shape by jogging and doing hybrid calisthenics, I'm free of my tobacco addiction for 2 years, gave up on alcohol completely. Recently got diagnosed with venous insufficiency which is condition running in my family for ages, and the worst case scenario is that I will end up on a wheelchair. I don't push myself that hard with workouts after the diagnosis, but thanks to my journey with WoW few years back -- wheelchair scenario might never happen.
Your story is inspiring, what an incredible journey you’ve had! To transform your life through World of Warcraft, losing 65 pounds, breaking free from old habits, and building such resilience… that’s seriously inspiring. Even through your diagnosis, you’re facing it head-on with the same determination... you got this. Stay strong, keep pushing, and know we’re all rooting for you! You’re an absolute legend. 👏
Thank you for sharing that. It’s amazing how WoW becomes a lifeline when we need it most, and I’m honored this video could resonate with you. Gaming can truly be a source of strength, connection, and resilience. Stay strong and keep pushing forward!

The relaunch of classic wow in 2019 during COVID helped push me through the hardest part of my life and for that I owe it a debt I can never repay
