Ah come on, Antonius was young back then. he learned and i don't think he would talk to the big papa like that again... Doyle's speech however is just greatness =)
@Alfa777 What the commentator was saying is "normally calling with a LOW pocket pair, you would expect your opponent to have TWO overcards" in other words the majority of the time Patrik would have Ace+X where X is 4+ (or possibly something like KQ or KJ or maybe even QJ or JT). In that case Doyle would be a near coin-flip (55% to win vs. 45% to lose). It truly was a bad call, though: Doyle=55:45 favorite, or Patrik has higher pair (and thus is 80% favorite vs. Doyle 20%). A2 = super lucky!
you call pocket 33 against shoves in case they have a2 or a3 so why cant u limp call pocket 33 knowing a2 and a3 is in their reshove range sure they have pockets alot but it may be more profitable than open shoving 33 and getting called by bigger pockets anyways.
WOW keep using "results-oriented thinking" in figuring out what is a correct or wrong play, long-term. Love playing opponent$ like you... Unless you are just leveling here? The thing that is MOST noteworthy about this video clip: Antonius actually said something when things didn't go his way. Nowadays he is a lot more calm, stoic, mature, whatever it is...
Oh dang. Antonius had HAIR!
Lawrence Penney I was thinking exactly that. Hardly recognize him.

doyle actually fell back later in this final table, he placed third
RIP Dolly.
Patrik is much classier now. Seemed a bit immature in this video.
Dolly, LOL Legend...
Doyle brunsons a poker legend!
Awesome comeback. doyle is the man.

hahaha TRUE!
Fantastic. Antonius owned. "how could you make that call?".
Beacause it was a weak bet, and you piss me off.
How the hell is all-in for 4 million a weak bet
I don't think it really is a good call, but it sure was an awesome speech that Antonius got :-)
c'mon a pocket pair, even a low one, heads-up? I'd call it, too.
Not sure what happened in the game before this but if someone keeps betting like a maniac you lose a lot of respect for their shoves
If you want a smile, scroll down to read Alfa777's comment (will you tell him or shall I?)
Haha!
Did the commentator really say "He has one overcard instead of two how he expected" or is it me? How on earth could you have two overcards with A2?
I think he meant people usually don't go all in with a 2 in the pocket
hahaha doyle owned that little euro gay boy
you mean the limp limp limp minbet american game ?
Are you salty that your lagasaurus ass gets stacked by an American?
Tecas Check'em
WORD ha ha ha. Europeans playing an American game well? Maybe someday!
very bad call!
antonius
asong, do you even realize the ironic self-pwnage of bigoting an entire group of people for being "ignorant?"

Patrik knocked Doyle out later in the tournament - Doyle shoved with A6 and Patrik called with A9 and won.
