    2. Default Mode Network ( inside - daydreaming , outside - work )

It's ok man. I was too. Maladaptive daydream is such an amazing experience but it takes a lot of time. Also it's actually not reality. You have to accept the reality. But mindful meditation changed me a lot. It worked. Mindfulness is like imagining you are in a semi dark room and there is a snake in that room. You can't even go into any thoughts cause you will be aware of what will happen. Doing mindfulness doesn't make you 100% avoid daydream and it helps to bring back to reality because you are aware that you are daydreaming. All you have to do is search for mindful meditation on RUclips and once the video plays, you listen to the music and just observe and there will be people speaking and all you need to do is observe. Don't let the music trigger or make you go into a mind made imagination. Even it happens it's ok. 1st j struggled a lot but now I feel lot better. Practice mindfulness like walking you observe the traffic and people and your surroundings rather than walking in imagination. Like that. Aware of your surroundings is the key. Actually maladaptive daydreaming is equal to like gambling. So it's not that easy to leave. Try hard man, you can reduce it.

    • Attention expands time, while distraction constricts it.
    • Studies have shown that approximately 50% of time is consumed by daydreaming, which is a form of distraction.
    • To reduce daydreaming, it's important to be attentive.
    • Follow the framework below, which aligns with the circadian rhythm:
    1. 10pm-6am: Sleep
    2. 6am-10am: Personal growth activities such as exercise, bathing, journaling, and skill improvement
    3. 10am-2pm: Self-work
    4. 2pm-6pm: Teamwork
    5. 6pm-10pm: Social time
    • Divide each time frame into smaller blocks for individual tasks.
    • The more aware your brain is of time, the more time you'll have available to you.

For the future topic - reducing thinking in a day. Is there any framework for limiting the number of thoughts per day? I have seen that when we get some real shock / hurt, mind stops thinking of the past, the future, it concentrates at the present moment. That’s the best time to create or build something new. I wish if we can get to that zone more in a day without being hurt psychologically. If any framework exists, we would be very interested to know. Thank you! 🙏

I agree with you sir. I believe that any work requires time and attention that depends on types of work. Some work require more attention while some are less. There is a relation between time and attention. I.e. more you are attentive more you are able to do in less time.

I want to add something to this. In my opinion we should give some time for daydreaming. Because, doing quality day dreaming is necessary to build a better future. I believe, Imagining meticulously about how our future life must look like, is the first step before the first action to work for it. The key is to find balance between daydreaming and the reality and also check for how peoductive your daydreams are.
