Hi Jon [and Nellie], great to see/hear you again after a substantial absence. Intuitive as always. The soft hackle dry has worked wonders for me on a variety of rivers this season and I have to add that I am now a convert to the furled leader. They really do make a difference to presentation especially where you encounter a variety of current flow. Don't leave it too long before the next video. tight lines
Hey Jonathan, Greetings from the antipodes. Nice informative video mate. My stuff is mostly southern hemisphere but I've done a couple of videos in the UK. Its very different in some ways but very similar in others to the fly fishing we have in Australia and New Zealand. Subbed, will watch some of your back catalogue. Thanks for sharing, Cheers, Craig
Haha yes mate ,glad your back on the horse. Absolutely love your videos they are clearly the best on RUclips for uk river fly fishing. Absolutely buzzing your uploading again and don't understand why you haven't got more subscribers. Been on your website a few times !! Do you sell soft hackle dries and your leaders you use? I'm trying to copy your entire outfit
Love your videos Jonathan.i only took up river fly fishing last season and your videos have helped a lot.(And basically converted me from Stillwater.) Keep up the good work 🎣✌
Lee Davidson I just started off fishing still waters for trout and learned a lot from other anglers. I also was helped with my casting from a friend, as well as watching a lot of you tube and reading a few books on watercraft and where fish are likely to be holding in a river. I'm not sure if there are fly fishing courses but there defiantly are guides and casting instructors that you will find on Google.
Hey Jonathon, odd question, but have you ever been to Westhouse trout lakes at bishopton? Was sure I saw you or your doppelgänger there a few weeks ago
