- Trying and fishing the soft hackle dry fly. This fly has been featured in fly fishing magazines worldwide and is widely used in the USA. A great dry fly with an amazing profile that readily fools trout and grayling.

We’ve been missing you. I personally missed the « there we go! » ! Welcome back Jonathan.
And thank you for the sharing
One of my mates gave me a few Jingler’s a few months ago and I couldn’t replicate them exactly but after seeing this video I can use the ones I’ve tied with confidence. Absolute deadly pattern for me as a complete beginner. Will add the cdc tail and wings. Subscribed
Great to see you back Jonathan.
As the other comments mention its good to have you back active Jon. I can also vouch for the effectiveness of this pattern from ourday out earlier in the season.

Great fly, rarely refused when well presented, at any time of the year. Hoping you might post a tying of your lifejacket caddis sometime 🤞
Great stuff👍

Jonathan, in a prior video of this fly you also tied a version that added a turn or 2 of dry fly hackle in between the partridge, Do you still do this sometimes?
