I like Yoho because has so many amazing places packed into a smaller national park. The Burgess shale guided hike is a must for any fossil nerds like me.
7:46 mark: Big thanks for your work on the moonrise time-lapse, seen from Emerald Lake. I realize that there is lots of time invested in creating 5 seconds of sped-up video for that, so thanks :) And thanks for the entire video. Yoho is a park that I've enjoyed a few times, and so it's great to see your OFA take on it.
We are glad you liked it! Definitely beautiful to watch the moon rise above the beautiful Emerald lake😍 It’s a gorgeous park. What’s your favorite area?
@@OurFulltimeAdventure I'm a "Railway History Nerd" and so I love anything to do with the railway there. There are two spiral-tunnels inside of 2 mountains, and this is to allow a longer railway route, which decreases the slope. So you can watch a long train enter the bottom part of the tunnel, and come out the top part, above itself. Cool stuff, brilliant engineering. We stayed once in the park for a few nights at Cathedral Mountain Lodge cabins, which are on the road to Takkakaw Falls, and it was so nice being right in the middle of the park.
@@pvdogs2 Yes, they are. The upper portal of the Upper Spiral Tunnel (Cathedral Crags) is seen in this video at the 6:04 mark, just to the left of the large rockslide.
@@LowLightMike Thanks for pointing this out. I recently watched a video taken on the Mountaineer and there were some great shots of the train entering and exiting the tunnels. They said they were disoriented when they exited the tunnels and didn't know in which direction they were travelling.
