I am more excited for this mod than I was for Fallout 4 lol I am from London and been wondering what a Fallout London will be like for.over a decade. From what I have seen we won't be let down
It’d be so dope if there was a nice doctor who reference or side quest like with a 60s unique Dalek weapon you can use. Dr who has definitely been embedded in UK pop culture for decades
We have already released a "Dardek" weapon in our Dardick weapon release on the Nexus and we literally have 2 of the Doctor Who Actors voice acting in the mod. I hope that helps.
I can't believe that this project went from a vague announcement video with heavy skepticism (thanks Frontier for setting that tone for all mods like this for the foreseeable future) to it is know just months away from being finished. I haven't played FO4 on PC yet, since i feel there is only so much i can do with those mods before i get bored. But I have no shame in saying I am probably going to play this mod before i actually play the base game on PC.
Frontier wasnt that bad once all "weird" stuff got removed in patches. I loved exploration and most side quests. I spend 40 hrs just exploring the map and having fun. I also enjoyed Crusader storyline. NCR storyline sucked though. Legion was mid.

Most of the devs got exposed for either being creeps or ego maniacs, the attempt to rewrite the NCR quest got abandoned, and it's early days are going to remain it's legacy. And I mostly wrote that there because I am more sick of people leaving the generic "Please don't be like The Frontier" comments ANYTIME a similar big mod is announced. That alone should say how much it impacted people's perception of modding.

From what I heard and observed since 2021, most devs were normal, some even very talented and friendly like Xilandro (vehicle guy). Puting aside all clickbait RUclipsr drama after release (especially from TK Mantis), in their defence, anime fetish creepy guy got removed from the team quickly and the Devilwish NCR storyline guy blocked all attempts of rewriting NCR until final release. A shame that they didn't finish NCR Rework, I was waiting for it. Don't get me wrong, they did many mistakes, development of this mod was a mess and project lead should have stop fetish guy from adding stuff like Trochili in the final 1.0 release. Their argument was that Fallout already had some weird/creepy stuff (you could kill children in Fallout 2 and there is even a hidden "Child killer" perk in game files, you could sell a 7 years old girl to slavery in F3 and you could have a sex with a robot in FNV), but they forgot that we are living in 2020s and most people don't like this stuff anymore. It's no longer "funny". Most normal devs worked on patches for months. They managed to fix most bugs and glitches. I just ignored the drama and finished this in 2022 and had lot's of fun. And let's remember that even finishing such big mod is a great accomplishment. They spend thousands of hours working on this for free.

The widespread abolition of slavery in the legal sphere is a very recent thing and it survives in many places both illegally and legally. It makes a lot of sense that the annihilation of all authorities which enforce its illegality and much of the technology which makes it unnecessary would allow its resurgence as at the end of the day it’s a cheap and easy way to complete intensive tasks on a wider scale than willing or paid workers would allow. Being able to have sex with a robot just is funny though. Current year arguments are always fallacious. I’m not familiar with Frontier or it’s controversies other than something about stinky feet I think I heard once. Just going off my experience with official Fallout.
I hope that you will not abandon this project despite Starfield release and other issues. I'm also waiting for Fallout Cascadia and Fallout Miami for F4, though I would say that London has the highest chance of getting finished and released.
Seeing as London is slated for release in a few months give or take the only thing that could stop this game from coming out is a cease and desist and that's not gonna happen as Bethesda is as hyped as we are for this mod.

Unlike everyone else here, I LOVED Starfield. Buuuut after 100+ hours I'm ready for something else. (Until the Starfield creation kit comes out. Then I'll probably increase my hours five times over again)

I been watch the development of this mod for a number of years and all I can say is outstanding, well done very well done and just load a clean fallout 4 install onto a new ssd it all ready for fallout London to drop an starting top look like an early christmas present thank you
Hope to see either a surviving scottish clan that moved to london to try and expand their territory/influence, maybe a new clan with it's own tartan or a pre-existing one, along with a hidden IRA bunker with story on how they were planing to strike buckingham palace,
there's probably a bunch of things that will be a problem, like the new icons and probably more i don't know/remember at this point, but i guess short of those it could be somewhat easily done by just having the player go to the memory den, enter one of its machines and start london's, or cascadia's, miami's or f4nv's or any other story. it's a good excuse to deal with time discrepancy and being a completely different character.
I really really hope they release this around December, I’ll be so upset if it gets delayed, same as America Rising 2, I waited wayyy to much for a good narrative/new world/overhaul mod
There is a gun that has a barrel that looks like a daleks eye stalk and 2 previous doctored voicing characters in the game but that's about it I think but who knows

Make the first pad annimation exitable. Its cool but looking at it I feel a sense of dread with how many times I'll see it. I usually take lock picking. Its incredibly boring and takes too long so even though I can do it I instal a mod to make it easy so Im not wasting time on a lock.
Starting to look like vaporware to me. The delay so as not to clash with the release of Starfield sounded fishy to me and now much more so. I'm calling it - we're never going to see this or certainly not any time soon. It is an ambitious project. Great pity.
@@SinastarCross Starfield is a snoozefest and it's been out for months. So, where is FOL? I'm disappointed as well but there's no point hiding from the now obvious truth that we ain't ever getting it.
I'm not sure why or how amateur modders are pushing creation engine to its limit, employing hundreds of voice actors, utilising vehicles etc.... while bethesda are releasing starfield, underdeveloped and buggy as ever..on millions of dollars of budget and 8 years if development time.. I cant wait till someone mods that with the same care and attention to the lore that you have with f4 London.

TBH I actually stopped playing starfield after the main quest, I’m much more excited for this mod than continuing to explore barren planets.

Translation into other languages will later be carried out by enthusiasts. Obviously, the release will only be in English.
