Just a quick note to endorse Corbin‘s review as spot on, and my basis for saying that is I have an exact same model (except mine’s silver) on the same lease. My only quibble with the review is that Corbin dedicated just one sentence to a “pro” that deserves a whole paragraph: This car is a road beast!! I would choose the SE RWD again on that quality alone. It’s great for highway trips with long range, quick DC charging, quiet & comfortable cabin and excellent stablity. That combination is golden for long trips. On the “con” side, I have even more quibbles than Corbin about little minor things. But they are so unimportant compared to the fundamental performance and value of the car that I’m not gonna even mention them.

I have a 24 Ioniq 6 limited AWD since January. I do love mine. The look, the material, the tech, and the remote features. The Bluelink is fantastic. But…the door materials are cheap and easily to scuff up, small trunk, Bose sound isn’t great at all and I wish the key fob was sturdier. I like that it’s light. But man do I really have to push down those buttons. I give the car an 8/10 which is still solid.
Oh and that reflection. I was just thinking about that 2 days ago. It is a bit more reflection than I’ve had before. Wonder why that is.

I wonder whether better wheel covers for the 20” wheels could be supplied by an aftermarket vendor to bring the limited trim’s range a little bit higher. Maybe 3D scanning the 18” wheel covers and building an extended diameter model to fit the rims would work, and then making the product from molds.

I took delivery of my Ioniq 6 SE with 18” wheels and AWD two weeks ago - it’s almost impossible to get the RWD extended range model. Very few are allocated. You have to be lucky to catch one “in transit.” My dealer gave me a discount off MSRP to consider AWD - not a bad option to have here in MA. The smaller wheels are key in giving you well over 300 miles of range in ECO and NORMAL. In those modes, you are usually only using the rear motors.SPORT engages the front motors, and you can feel a big difference immediately. I agree with all your positive comments. What I like best: this car hugs the road, wet or dry, like nothing I’ve ever driven. It’s great fun on MA’s twisty local roads. Only disappointment: mediocre sound system. Love your videos! UPDATE: getting 350 miles of range consistently with Normal mode!😮

No issues with my 12V battery either, after 15 months. Maybe I’m lucky so far! And I’ve never had water or mold in the cabin air filter. I recently replaced that filter, and I discovered that a mouse had torn it into little shreds to make a cozy nest! I hadn’t particularly noticed reduced airflow, but after I replaced it, the ventilation clearly blows a lot better.

This car is very nice but my question to you is, how did you settle for this trim? I have the 23 Sel IoinQ 5 and every so often I get in my feels about not getting the top trim but it doesn't last long because the SEL is no slouch. You know you are a top trim guy and you got this for 2 solid years. You'll survive but it's likely to sting a bit. :)

I have the Ioniq 6 SE AWD with 18 inch wheels. I live in NW NJ which is a zone 4-5 climate. I have put 32000 miles on it in 16 months-April 2023-August 2024. The computer says I am averaging 4.8 miles per kwh. After 12 months (only one summer) it was 4.7 miles per kwh. I drive mostly in eco mode (RWD) so the range is close to what I would get in the RWD model. With the 77 kwh battery that means 4.7X77= 361 miles range. I drive reasonably-62-65 mph on highways and use the great seat heaters most of the time instead of blasting the cabin heat. I have had no issues with it-charging mostly at home at 24 Amps. I occasionally use fast DC Charging and again it was fine. This is a fantastic car-highly recommend.

Just got over the one year hump with my Limited AWD i6 and have loved it. Got the LinerX mats for the New England winters and they held up really well. Only issues I have with it is the amount of updates that require going to the dealership to complete and for some reason the taillight strip on top and the middle of the trunk have de laminated/cracked. Luckily my dealer is replacing it under warranty. Other than those minor things, I love this car and how cheap it is to fuel up.

I have watched alot of EV reviews. Although I am still unsatisfied on the question of "How efficient is the thermal management of EVs?" As we all know the number one enemy of EV batteries is "HEAT". All videos I have watched regarding battery thermal management, their main highlight is cold temperature effecting range and the like. How about countries with tropical or hot climate areas? We also want to know the other side of the coin. Comparing it to "gaming PC's". We want to know the exact data/numbers of the temperature, to know whether or not the preferred battery temperature is being maintained or not. Since the correlation of heat and battery degradation is stronger in high temperatures. The topic regarding with battery thermal management in tropical/hot climate/summer time is not being tackled much or just being ignored. I hope you make a new video regarding the efficiency of thermal management in hot weather. Thanks!

I don’t know where you came up with the 376 mile range. Based on your history of 4.1 miles/ kilowatt hour over 1146 miles you would get about 303 miles on a full charge. Which is about what what I get on my ioniq5 all-wheel-drive in mixed driving. But you’re definitely doing better at high-speed highway driving than my car does. Thanks for another one of your typically good reviews. You do a fantastic job and you’re very helpful. @@Damadchef it's a kid safety regulation. If it's above a certain size, manufacturers have to add an internal latch so that kids can't get stuck in it.

Haven’t driven my AWD SE in snow yet, but it grips the road superbly in wet and dry conditions in all modes. Love driving it on twisty back roads here in MA! You’ll feel rough surface roads but it’s stable, not bouncy.

You BETTER NOT have any 12v issues at 4 months. You should have any for 3 years. If you do, then Hyundai failed miserably.
My 2017 Chevy Bolt 12V battery lasted 5.5 years. It was replaced before a long winter trip just to be safe.
