    I've a hornet I sold my 1995-1996 cbr 600 f3 and got a hornet for a sitting up ride and I feel so much more confident on the hornet I feel like my riding has improved loads.. I've obviously upgraded the exhaust the headlight the indicators etc and I can honestly say I LOVE IT..

    I love this bike, my f2 has seen better days, but still one of my favourite bikes ever, so easy to work on and well engineered. Stick a nice short exhaust and a lovely pair of rental bars, braided hoses and radiator hoses to match your colour scheme, really gives the bike character

    This is a pre-2002 model as there are no fork pipe protectors (the plastic protectors at top of the sliders) and if it's a 16" front wheel then it's either a '98 or '99 as Honda changed front wheel to 17" in 2000. Excellent bike though.

    That 2003 headlight made it lot sexier.

    1:53 but now, in 2017 it looks more retro then when it was lauched. It's the perfect retro-ish look

    Had that exact one. Sa,e colour. Same year. Probably my favourite out of the bikes ive owned. On a par with a 2008 fireblade i owned from new for fun on the twisties and def alot more reliable(2008 blade battery was tiny and often left me stranded)

    I’m looking into this as a first bike. I’m only 5’2”. Do y’all think it would work for my height? I love the look and just need it for commuting.

      You might have gotten a bike already, or not. I'm 5'8 and can barely have both feet down, on my tippy toes. I'd get something maybe a little less powerful as a first bike. Maybe for a second bike though. It would be awesome! Got mine as my 3rd bike

    Prefer the look of the bandit and fazer.
    3300 back then and people still want about 1800 for them now.
    I would like to try one out compared to my bandit.

      All jokes aside...if you take care of your motorcycle it should last a very long time

      One of the best looking bikes out there then there's the 2005/2006 model that is even better looking.... then Honda screwed it all up in 2007 and completely destroyed the character.

    The bike doesn't look bad at all but i get what he means when he thinks there's nothing special by how it looks. I'd totally buy one though if it was a good enough deal.

      @@MrBurns-um2id Actually I'd probably try for the 900 version if i could find a deal on that. I just got from a ride a little ago. I have an 09 SFV-650 which keeps me very happy. If it weren't for the pandemic I probably would've bought another bike already.

    • @flatlineoptimism2600
      @flatlineoptimism2600 4 года назад

      @@MrBurns-um2id Yup. Makes perfect sense. I really likes the looks of those bikes. They're not outlandish but they have a slick look and cause they're Honda they're probably bulletproof in terms of reliability. I kinda wanna do that too, but with the bike I have. I'm thinking an SV-1000S would be a great bike for me. It's basically what I have already but fully faired and has an extra 35 bhp. I've seen plenty of deals on those bikes for around 3k. They're torquey and like and half the price of an RC51.

    • @volante8657
      @volante8657 7 лет назад +1

      He is sort of right, the Hornet does look a bit anonymous especially in the region where the CB400 co-exists with the Hornet, anyone could have mistaken the Hornet for anything because the front is really boring, which is a shame

    • @unclejane7453
      @unclejane7453 7 лет назад

      I think ot looks uber cool. In today's market where everything is festooned with flash fairings, scoops and angles, the basic simplicity of the Hornet is actually eye catching. Ironically it's the bike that stands out among the rest.

    Remove that fucking awful tank bag cover for starters, then remove the awful 'factory chimney' exhaust and replace with a slimmer and shorter aftermarket item that will give it a beefier sound, stick on some Renthal bars and twin Dominator headlamps and Voila !!!!!
