Hello Dan. 80 yr old trying to learn acoustic lap steel. Long time ago had a few lessons, but essentially starting over. I’m using a converted acoustic, much like the one in your videos. Very much enjoying the first view videos and hope I’ll find more. Thanks for doing this.

@@slideguitar thanks Dan. Are there more beginners videos for acoustic laptop that follow the initial ones I’ve found?

I think I only did the 3? I know there is some lapsteel stuff in there as well that’s easily translated to acoustic lap steel

@@slideguitarGood to know. Yes, I have viewed a few of the lapsteel videos and hoped they were easily translated. Thanks for your time responding, Dan. I’ll start my ‘project’ seriously now that you’ve provided a sound beginning.

Another nice lesson! I picked up a Harley Benton electric lap steel and it’s very good. Fit and finish are perfect, the sound is good.

@@slideguitar The zooms on your hands or slide are super helpful! The only thing i'd suggest is to try text overlays.... for instance when going over the tuning, just say and play the names quickly, while putting the text of exactly what the tuning is on the screen. That way I can pause, tune, and then quickly continue. :-) Otherwise, great stuff!
