I'm amazed GW hasn't licensed a developer to make a videogame version of the tabletop. I don't think it would impact GW's model sales at all since most of the people who'd buy a videogame version are probably either already tabletop players or people who are interested in it. As a matter of fact, I think making an official videogame version of the tabletop would bring even more people to the actual tabletop scene.

I've been playing 40k for several years and I'm glad someone finally made a detailed and quick guide on what mods to run for tts. When I moved away from my friends I no longer was able to play 40k. And we could never get everyone on the same page with tts. I really hope this helps them set up. Thank you!!

This is great. I used to play Warhammer 40k 7th edition with my friends but we couldn't meet up and play often enough for us to be willing to invest so much. With this we can still enjoy and play 40k.

I wish TTS existed 10+ years ago when I was building my Necron army. This is making me want to dive back in, especially since Necrons got a codex update since then. Nothing like undying skeleton T-1000s warping in from a gigantic, impenetrable pyramid.

Bruh you made me actually out aside some cash to start collecting minis. It was a bit of a headache on what faction to go with,and it still is because I still don't have any experience with the actual gameplay nor know what specific traits each faction has (example: Death Guard and Alpha Legion are both forces of Chaos,but they're so different they have their own codexes i.e. specific rules for them) plus besides my optimism I still have barely any experience with painting minis.
Well maybe inform your self online about the different factions. If you want to decide because of the play style search for the 1d4chan tactics post of your army it gives you a nice overview. If the story is more important to you, check RUclips or the lexicanum for informations. Never choose a army because it's easy to play. If you aren't happy with your choice you will probably lose interest in the hobby very cickly. So take time look at the models, the story and the rules and make a decision you are happy with.

Nah, it wouldn't be the first time and most people have backups so even if one gets wiped we have more ways to get the models. You can also get the mods on different sites, so we're pretty safe.

I'd suggest just starting with Vanilla Marines then, easy to understand and highly effective.

A great way to save the army, just save the battlescribe bag as the army name. Spawn that bag with your code from the website and load.

Some of us just like to paint miniatures, and so we buy cool looking warhammer kits. Also makes for some good D&D alternatives when DMing.
