This was one of my favorite songs when I was growing up. it played on the radio often and reminds me of better times. I always loved the way this song sounded. when this song would come on the radio, I would feel better. always thought it was great. this song has a sadness to it, which I can relate to

I started the song wondering if I had listened to it growing up. The guitar notes hit me like a train of nostalgia 😂 yes heard it a lot.
I remember one time my ex was being his usual asshole self and this song came on after a fight. He said “ is this your song?” And started laughing .
The asshole was physically , mentally, sexually and verbally abusive to me for 3 years . I’m so glad I left him .

I used to love this in high school but it became the story of my life and now it breaks my heart more than I ever knew it could.
Crazy isn't it? I use to listen to songs when I was younger and thought that would suck if I felt the same pain that people have listening to the same song. Then life comes crashing down and I find myself coming back listening to them. It's comforting though that music is here for us.
There is always a better man, or in my case, a better women out there for you. You can ALWAYS find a better person. You are not trapped. Don't lie to him. Just leave.
