The famous "In the Air Tonight" car scene was filmed on LeJeune Road near Ocean Bank. I live like 2 minutes away and I always think about that iconic scene every time I drive by there.
Broooo no way! This is an awesome story man, thanks! I went to kinloch middle school a block away from lejune. Man what I would have given to have seen that car on lejune! Sweeeet!
Fantastic video. I've been wanting to do something similar as this but you have really hit the mark. I'll be saving this video in my playlists for Miami Beach Films. Thank you!

Nice to see these locations from the past! Was there on vacation, with my family, in Florida in 1991, and we went 1 day to Miami! What adventure! The hotel you mentioned was also used as a exterior for Golden Palace, and the same where me and my family set down outside for a drink (delicious apple juice)!!😊❤
Another excellent video ! In case you don't know, 20 years later, in 2005, that Chalk seaplane fell out of the sky inot the sea shortly after leaving Miami Beach after one of its wings detached. All 18 passengers and 2 crew were killed. If you google "Chalk Seaplane Crash" you can find video footage that coincidentally a touritst captured while filming. There's also a documentary about the cause of the crash you can find on RUclips also. Greetings from Prague. CZ
Oh, wow! I didn't know about the seaplane crash. I thought when I drive out there, that they might have still been in operation. Thanks for the message!
So cool that second location! That's what I love to see, it being completely unchanged. That statue at the Versace location looked huge on the episode of Miami Vice. 10:00 That alley looks just as dirty today as it did back then. 15:20 Wasn't the phone booth also set up for the shot?
@@rickysithappenedhere I did a comparable thing in 2018. I have visited the film location of Smiley's People in Bern Switzerland, a Hotel, a little changed, like same same but a little bit different. And we have enjoyed some Tea there. Hope for more revisiting videos of you!

One episode there was a small speed boat that lost control on the Indian river there at the old “creek”hostel there on Collins The boat took flight and come out of the river and straight through the hotels pool into the parking lot.
A small addendum to your video. The 'police' office at 4:17 is on North River Drive. Right behind you a scene from James Bond's Goldfinger was filmed. That is where Oddjob drives the car with the gangster he just killed into the metal compactor
Great video on locations! For me 14:23 I really dislike the marina they built that took away access to that view from the locals. That was the spot to see the fireworks on New Years and now it's for the fancy folks only.

At 8:50 of this video you can see the Senior Frogs building to the right. That location was "Sex World" in the episode Little Miss Dangerous, which is a fav episode of mine. A whore with Borderline Personality Disorder kills herself in a safehouse in front of Tubbs at the end of that episode.
