    Today a black guy approached us in Greece trying to offer free bracelets but we started running because last year the same guy scammed us

    I am from Greece and the only scam i've seen if you don't count the beggars gypsies like she said etc... and these scams are not targeting tourist they do these things all year to everyone .. a guy came to me in the train station and asked me for 10 or 20 cents to afford a train ticket..and his pockets were full of coins🤣 i gave them the money twice because i thought it was kinda smart.. and it's better like this rather than stealing

    Hi there! This is very helpful because I am planning of going to Greece next year. Scammers operate the same modus everywhere but the “Let’s go for a drink” is new and I am glad I watched your video. I have a question, is tour package easily available during off season? I’m planning of only staying mostly in Athens but would like to visit Mykonos. Is it a one day trip? Please answer me and thank you in advance.

      Hi thanks for connecting. There should not be a problem with Tour packages and with off season if u really mean winters or when the water is cold and u do not wish to go in water then Mykonos is doable in 1 day but u would need flights for that. With fastest ferry it is probably around 4 hrs one way. We were there in peak summers for 3 nights and was totally worth it. Hope this helps

    hi, i was in mainland greece plus a couple greek islands in april 2019, top of my bucketlist trip, do you know the maximum fare from athens airport to the athens city center area by taxi that visitors should pay? i may have been overcharged, it was a little after 10p, but on a more positive note i know now i can pay about 6 euro on the bus, which is how i returned to the airport, will do so on my next greek trip, nice video.

      Hi Rey
      Glad that u liked our video.
      So we had an apartment room ( Natalie apartments) booked for our stay at athens which is like 14 kms from Athens Airport. This apartment is located in Artemida and also has its own airport taxi service. It costed us 25€ for one way ride to/ from airport. Hope this helps. Feel free to contact us if u have any further questions

    • @desilens3623
      @desilens3623  3 года назад +1

      You can try to be louder and aggressiver than them. This happened with us too - outside Athens railway station, a lady forcibly handed over a rose and started demanding money. We aggressively handed it back to her immediately. Just be careful with your belongings so that they do not snatch anything. It is totally fine to be rude to save yourselves. Hope this helps.

      @@Weechoo this is the most stupid thing i have ever read, that impossible, you can be scammed if you try the cheapest gas stations like everywhere in the world but if you ask the locals around will tell you where not to go, but fill the tank with water??? thats ridicolous, maybe instead of 95% gas to get something less but 100% water its just bullshit!!

      full of scams in Greece? are you kidding me? have you ever gone to italy? Turkey? Spain? Thailand? USA? Britain? Russia? Brazil? everywhere are scammers, but in Greece its not that bad, especially because people around will help you if you get scammed, instead of trying to steal you more, like it happens in many other countries...especially asia!! please be precise and stop giving false information!!

      @@KostasLabropoulosPatras I apologise I didn't even remember that I wrote something so stupid. Sometimes I just speak without thinking than I regret it. I can't really remember too many bad things about Greece, only the petrol station... no it wasn't 100% water, something mixed but my quad bike stopped on the road after a few km. That was a long time ago and I can't remember being scammed there since then. I've been to many countries, a few asian countries as well and to me those were really bad experience, I got scammed so often there that I lost my faith in humanity. Even though I met many very nice people there, the bad experiences left a deep scar in me and that's what I remember instead of the good ones. Even in my home country scammer try me all the time, but Greece... I'd really like to kick myself in the balls saying so stupid thing. My favorite country and I've been to many. I'll delete my comments later, that would be the best I guess.

      @@Weechoo i am sure that the bad experience with gas station was frustrating, but beleieve me that if you just ask locals will tell you where to go, greek culture doesnt like scamm at all, scammers are the most disgusting kind of criminals and nobody like them, we will help you even if the guy who scammed you was our brother, i have been also in many world countries, i met scammers in Asia but the problem there was that the scamm culture were supported in many occasions by locals, who believe that "rich" tourists deserve to be scammed, in Italy too there are some really frustrating gangs especially southern Italy. in many other countries too, but there the problem is that locals wont care about your problem .They will be neutral. here in Greece being neutral in front of a crime is a crime too!

    • @Weechoo
      @Weechoo 3 года назад

      @@KostasLabropoulosPatras I had this same experience in asia. I got scammed even in their most holy temple ground. That was disappointing. And as you said, they support each other, they really think we the bad "rich" tourists deserve it. They built whole businesses on tourists where they sell goods at 10x of their price at landmarks or temples. (On other places we saw the same thing we bought at the tenth of the price we paid) They even used their as little as 5 years old children to sell us stuff. One teenage girl even spoke my and my girlfriend's language! Just a few sentences though but still.. on the other side of the world? I'm hungarian by the way, my girlfriend is czech. Two little unknown countries on the other side of the world. Well, that's some preparedness and organisation. So yes I know, Greece is on a whole different level. That's why I like going there, I can just enjoy my holiday without any frustration, not like in some other places. Again I apologise I upset you, I might have been drunk when I wrote it, but I changed my original comment now. Next time I'll think twice before I comment. Have a great day, my friend!

But looking at your comment you would totally not get it 👎

      There is no irony. These are scams that happen to mostly foreign people and tourist. Greeks hate being called out. It is what it is. If you are scamming you are scamming. I have lived in Greece part of the year for many years now. Tons of scams here against tourist. Greek scamming get made when they find out I actually live here and want no part of it. It's like how dare you not let me scam you.
