New Wheels and Details on the 1/10 Scale RC Mashigan

- The RocHobby Mashigan is back on the bench! Although a great looking model right out of the box, a few simple details really helps make this rig stand out. I started by designing and 3D printing some old school Gambler style wheels, then used an airbrush and decals to add further details to the body. This Mashigan now looks like a proper YJ and is ready to hit the trials!

A short and sweet upload for you all this weekend. What a difference a new set of wheels makes! Looks like the Mashigan is no longer available, but fortunately FMS has some great looking models coming out soon. Stay tuned!
Years ago (before FDM was even common and years before SLA was common) we would do things with Styrene. Having made a complete TJ body I remember that the wheels were never really something you could just make like this. I had to get bead lock rings made from a CNC shop and would have to drill soooo many 1mm holes to then mount with very small 1mm screws, etc. I spent so much time that it makes me cringe.
Seeing this makes me smile in many ways. Not only can we design what we want, we can print in FDM. But, having SLA at home is just the game changer. I have made more for my small hobbies with SLA then anything else. I know SLA at home isn't new anymore but it goes to show that you can really make anything you want (in scale) with perfect detail. This is a great video.

Aesome upgrades. I like the rims. But the painting do a lot to the scale look, too
ive been working on a tamiya yj wrangler on and off for the last few years and this is the first ive heard of a new RTR "Jeep wrangler" i love it! as for the hood decals, if you need those i can make you a set in vinyl :)
I bet a little. 002 red flake plus 2k clear or lacquer coat would be beautiful
Great rim choice. Always have been a big fan of Champ 500. On thing missing is a driver in the driver’s seat.

I really like the look. I’m kicking myself now for not getting one. Just for the simple fact that they have been taken off the selves for sale.
Hopefully they'll be back. I think you can still order them from overseas but it's much more expensive.
Those wheels turned out pretty rad man and they're extra special because you made em! I tell you what those in 1.0 size for the SCX24 Bronco would be pretty awesome!
Also a classic Bronco body would be rad also

Probably a cease and desist from Jeep, just like the RC4WD Cross Country
It looks like they have a problem with copying the 7-slot grille that is also the Jeep logo.
Plenty unlicensed bodies don't get taken down, the 1/18 Black Rock has been on the market for years now but it has 8 slots.
@@loganhawkinstv.426 Not discontinued. FMS is in discussions with Jeep and are likely to work out a licensing deal. Until then, they complied with Jeep's request to pull it from shelves. If that fails, I'd expect a slight redesign of the body. Stay tuned! 🤞
