- This one took awhile. The next artist analysis is definitely not going to be as long as this. lol Gonna be uploading some speed paintings and some other videos in the meanwhile. There are some audio mistakes in the video, but I hope its not too distracting.

Artist analysis sounds like a great series. I think you nailed all the details of his art and did a great job with the editing.
Subbed!
Thank you! Gonna try and work hard on this series. Lol
Persona 5 art has so much drip, it truly is unique. Great video btw!
As a person who’s an aspiring artist myself I can say that this video is amazing.
Bro where do you post your art, I'm in a pretty deep rabbit hole so I'm kinda curious to see it
@@kog6445 I don't post it, my art isn't very good tbh
@@jaytakajeremiahtisdale2042 ah, dang
The hatsune miku part reminded me of when someone said something like “every artist that draws miku draws her so different, it really shows off their design choices and style” or something along those lines
@@jaytakajeremiahtisdale2042 not very good YET, and considering that it has being 1 year, I hope you art journey have been going well
If I may add the Persona art style is not all Soejima but the whole P-Studio art team. Soejima do the rough sketches while from 3 different artist do the rest of it. There names were Hanako Oribe, Akane Kabayashi and Azusa Shimada.

Pretty dope analysis man. I myself sometimes just get lost in his artwork sometimes while staring at it.
I stumbled upon this whilst researching for the artist of the Persona games! God you’re so underrated and I LOVE your art analysis, you clearly know what you’re talking about and I really hope you get recognition in the future! Will be looking forward to your work and videos in the future < 3
I don’t know if you take requests or anything but if you can, can you make an art analysis of Satoshi Kon’s work? He seems to be an interesting artist and a creator that deserves a spotlight and I haven’t even seen art analysis of that absolutely needs to be discovered.
Thank you!! There is definitely more to come. I've also seen some of the work Satoshi Kon has done so he is definitely on the list of people I will do in the future! 😁
I wonder if Shigenori Soejima is, in a way, the Atlus equivalent of Tetsuya Nomura from Square Enix, who is known for his work behind the well known Square Enix games like the Final Fantasy series and the Kingdom Hearts series, mostly, the character designs and illustrations, much like Shigenori Soejima for the Persona series, as well as a few other well known Atlus games. Both even did promotion artwork for Super Smash Bros for the characters being included into the game like Nomura did artwork for Cloud being in Smash and Soejima did artwork for Joker being in Smash. This is one of the big things is why I sometimes refer to Atlus as the next Square Enix, or the modern Square Enix since Square Enix is known for their more fantasy elements in their RPGs while Atlus tends to add more modern day elements and realism with supernatural things into their RPGs. But regardless, you can see the similarities with both companies, but one didn't really become as well known as today until the 2000s came around. You could say that Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei series is the equivalent of Square Enix's Final Fantasy series and Atlus' Persona series is like Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts series, but there are obvious differences.
Hey man I really love this analysis videos, keep them coming! Good work.
I’m rlly bad at analysing and was hoping to try to copy the Persona art style and this helped a lot :> ty
Man I am so jealous of all the Souejima artbooks you have. I'd deffo like to see more of his design process myself ngl. I greatly appreciate this analysis though! Doing artstyle challenges and I kinda wanna try to make it seem genuine
Plus I kind of am in a Persona 3-based D&D campaign and I wanna make stuff for myself and my party.
You really need more attention, I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!
Thank you so much!! Trying to build this channel up. 😊🙏
God I love the high contrast flat tone styles. Very reminiscent of mike mug Nola but his shape design is just so much more appealing
Great content, but there is definitely something weird about the audio. Keep up the good work tho!
Thank you! I'll try to work on the audio for upcoming videos.
Talking farer away and using a pop filter might help improve your content’s quality.
Placing some more distance between you and the mic, and using a pop filter might help improve your content’s quality. It might be a matter of compression as well; make sure you add some extra bits to your exports to test if the audio quality improves!
Damn bro, this was a good video
Great video man Shigenori Soejima character design is amazing

I'm not interested in playing Persona 5 but I still brought the art book for the game just because I like Soejima's art.
such a great artist
Have you checked out Akihiko Yoshida's art work? I saw his art work for Braverly Default and was instantly hooked on it
Love the video!!!
I am an artist that watch these videos to learn and man THIS inspired me so much!
Where can I buy the art books?
Great video!
Thank you!!!

I feel the need to like the video, and so I did
Persona 3 and 4 were gold, 5 was a huge disappointment for me. In terms of art however, Soejima went o another level in terms of his craft which is amazing to see such growth.
L
very cool very cool

and then he never made a Kazuma Kaneko video 😢
