I am also looking forward to Ova Magica which will be coming out in 2024! 🎉 It’s not necessarily a farming game, but it does have some farming mechanic.
Fields of Mistria is my top anticipated game for next year, but I'm looking forward to a lot of these!
My biggest farming-game hope for 2024 is that they actually finish Coral Island after its rushed, buggy, incomplete 1.0 release last month.
Agreed. I was anticipating the 1.0 launch for a long time and now I’m waiting once again. One day I’ll play it and enjoy it but I want it to be finished first

I love cute and colorful games but a darker medieval game hits different! Huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series so Mirthwood draws me in! Thank you for the amazing video!
Oh man, more games to keep an eye on! Out and About looks particularly interesting to me, but I will definitely be keeping an eye on most of these games. Thanks for this list! Some of these I hadn't even heard of.

Spirit City Lofi Sessions looks amazing! Hope they add unlockables and some kind of fun progression to motivate you to use it to get stuff done, love the concept of mixing productivity with gaming. Also, great video Josh! These are my fav kinds of videos of yours, always find new stuff.

Curious about the new SOS games, but I'm surprisingly interested in Bandle Tale. Haven't played League either, but the yordle and the game look so cute!
I'm still keeping an eye on Snacko, even if that's not officially ready to go yet. That game is looking wonderful.

Really hoping for good RF games, I loved the first four, five seemed to be too clunky with its switch performance being lackluster and the port on PC being a bit odd, like it was minimal work for them to make it work. I am def looking forward to more RF series though, and Fantasy Life i are definitely top up commers for me, havent heard of anything else that wasnt on your lists though
The RF5 PC port was definitely underwhelming, they did the bare minimum 😭
Honestly I hope they wait it out a few years and really work on RF6. I think some games come out waaaaay too soon and I would rather wait a long time for a quality release than one thrown together.
@@TheSlipperyNUwUdle I feel it, I am always on board with taking longer before release then released early. Lots of games recently seem a bit, incomplete or not as fleshed out as some other games. Im sad that Fantasy life i got pushed back, but Im honestly ok with waiting because Id want a product that wasnt rushed and as good as they could make it before release.
So many rushed projects are bound to drag down an IP, anime fans might have heard of the Mappa controversy and how JJK might not even finish bc they lack time. Sometimes episodes are finished enough only a short time the day of its premiere and theres no rest before the next episode is already going to be due.
@@JoshGamingGarden I was sad to see how much was actually done, I watched your video on the port review and you brought up a lot of good points. I still bought a PC version bc I just couldnt really get into my switch version with how it ran. Def runs better on PC, but it does not seem like many changes were made to optimize it for the PC.
Great list!! I'm so excited for Fantasy Life i and the new SoS and Rune Factory games. I'm not super familiar with the LoL base game, but I've enjoyed their various spin-offs, so I hope Bandle Tale is great too.
I screamed when the teaser for Tales of the Shire came out a while back I’m so beyond excited
A lot of these look really cute and I love the educational aspect of Out and About. However, I dream of a farming sim game that doesn't go for such a cutesy style (but is still third person). Why not an art style like the upcoming Paralives where the characters actually have realistic proportions?
I really hope we get more information about Tales of the Shire because I am interested in the game but I don’t know if they are going to have my make or break mechanic for farming games, romance. I really hope we will have characters we can romance in the games and I really want characters from other races if possible. Especially a male dwarrow.
I'm excited for to pixelia it have a lot of potential that even sims wasn't able to explore. I just hope the feature it is promoting is executed well cuz you can jump to one job to another

Fantasy Life is easily my most anticipated game out of these. I had over 100 hours in the original. It was so addicting completing the task lists on each life and trying to 100% all of them.
OMG I’m excited for RF ones wow I hope it comes out in 2024 but I doubt it but omg the dragon one looks amazing
You might also want to look into Towers of Aghasba. Not a farming game, but definitely a life-sim type of game. One of my more anticipated games for 2024.

Do you have any plans to post again about of Fields of Mistria? I know there isn't a demo or anything yet, but it says their planned release date is 2024. This is one title I'm very much looking forward to! I also only just realized Toby Fox is doing the music for the game, that's exciting too!

I am so curious about the stills they showed with story of seasons because I saw my girl holly from trio of towns and I am trying to not hold out hope, that’s the one game with mechanics they need to implement from.

and romance to make your own family for extra

I mostly anticipate Field of Mistria and Fantasy Life (hoping for Switch 2 so badly)! Would absolutely love a SoS/RF new game to the series since I miss your let’s plays 🥹🥹
I wish they'd let us know earlier that Fantasy Life i was being delayed as I was really excited for it, but although I'm sad about the delay I'd rather they took the time they need.

I'd never heard of Out and About: my grandmother used to take me on walks in the country, and she always knew the names of every flower and plant and tree, and I wander about now and I'm like, 'I wonder what that is???' and have no idea😅 so I might keep an eye on this!
I think the only one not on this list that I'm excited for is the new Snufkin game that's supposed to come out in Q1. I LOVE the Moomins, and the demo on Steam was good so I'm really looking forward to it!

I'm really looking forward to it! The only reason I did not mention it is because I already put it in one of my previous lists of upcoming games!
It's a shame Fantasy Life i isn't coming out this year but it'll give me some time as I'm not going to be able to purchase it at the moment & I'm too busy to play it if it hadn't changed it's release date.
The mecha one weirdly makes me think of an episode of Love Death + Robots but more calmer & haven't seen the creatures yet but the only similarities is farms/mechas as the episode was about ranchers/farmers that have to fight off these monsters that invade the dome their living in on an alien planet. This seems more peaceful & I'm kinda curious about how it'll go when it's released.
I cant wait for the alpha of meetlight secrets of the universe to came out . Eventually it will be early access in steam there hopeing 2024 mid year
Don't take this as putting more on your plate, but I was just curious if you have any more thoughts on Winds of Anthos still planned for a video? If not, I'm sure I have enough information to make an informed decision! It's on my steam wish list, but considering the ideas from the previous game didn't really hit home with me, I doubt I'll end up buying it unless it goes tremendously on sale.
And thanks for the video! Lots of great stuff coming next year. I'm really curious to see what Marvelous starts saying about the next Story of Seasons games.
My Winds of Anthos review is 75% done writing, but it's been so long and I have to find the will to go back to the game to finish writing and getting footage. 😅 I want to get it done, but usually when this happens it's because I didn't like the game that much. So... yeah I think I'd wait for a sale if you didn't like their previous games.

I literally don’t know ANYTHING about LoL but Bandle Tale looks beautiful!!! 😍😍😍 the yordles lean more creepy than cute for me, but the game itself looks so pretty I don’t even care.

Until January 2024 their preorder store on backerkit is available and only for a limited amount of time the kickstarter rewards are available in the preorder store. The kickstarter rewards are available cuz some kickstarter backers had credit card failures.
i just hope they don't rush the Ruin Factory games and allow them to make a quality product

Light year frontier would be way better if it had combat
I don't think I'll be getting any other Rune Factory games simply because I got bored with the gameplay aspect of 5 and the pacing felt so slow. Plus the farming mechanic seemed too complicated and it felt tedious. It's sad too because I loved the look of the game and liked the story and chars.
Pixelia looks like fun and that space one you mentioned too. Next year I am definitely looking forward to Fields of Mistria! There was another game I heard about last summer, I think it was when Steam did a bunch of free demos and all that. It was also another outer space farm sim (pixel art). I never did the demo because you can only play as a guy at the time, but they said you could play as a female too. Wish I didn't forget the name but I think I put it on my Wish list though. I know this won't be 'new', but I am looking forward to the 1.6 update Stardew Valley and of course all of the updates to Coral Island.
Other games I am looking forward to is that new Peach game and a visual novel from one of my fav franchises now- Our Life. There's a demo out for the 2nd game, but I'll be curious to see if the full game comes out next year (no guarantees of course). I've been paying attention to more indie visual novels so yeah I am looking forward to new games that are still being worked on.

You don't have to play or like League of Legends main game to play the spin-off games
They created a separate division and that team sources 3rd party game dev to make their spin-off games. The main game is very competitive but their world building and characters lore are very impressive. I'm so sad that some people have "no anything about league" negative attitude (I'm def not talking about Josh) even if it's a different game at all. The spin-off is their way to have people to know their impressive story writing without touching the main game at all
People gave Arcane a chance and they loved it, there should be no different with the spin-off games bcs these 3rd party game dev are actually making a great game from Ruined King, Convergence, Mage Seeker, Hextech Mayhem, Song of Nunu and the upcoming Bandle City, I believe its all diff dev team.

As for Fantasy Life I thought there would be a builder life of some sort, because they added this terraforming thing 🤔
