It always cracks me up how Zac derailed any insight check from Goldenhoard about the lie about Riz from that line alone.

Knowing Zac, I can’t tell if this was a purposeful move on his part, or a lucky coincidence. I’m also not sure which would be funnier.
Seeing this animated it’s occurring to me for the first time that Gorgug took the heat off of Riz. Riz might not have gotten away with spying on the cops at the crime scene if Goldenhoard hadn’t gotten so annoyed with these kids that he forgot one was missing. They didn’t even need to roll for the shower lie because Zac distracted Brennan so well in real life.
Out of character, Zac could probably tell the really poor lying wasn't gonna help Riz's case at ALL, so the distraction works really good. In character, I think it's more hilarious to consider that Gorgug was just so hung up on his own poor insight roll on Daybreak that he just *_had_* to ask the vice principal about it

I like that despite doing it because of a curse, Goldenhoard was genuinely responsible at dealing with kids
Spoilers but... I always loved how despite Goldenhoard being an evil wizard or whatever, he genuinely tried to be a good principal / gave decent interpersonal advice.
Required by the magical contract.

That's extremly specific, but i really like the long lashes on Fabian, really makes his design pop.
I was gonna say! I love all of them (especially all babyfaced from freshman year), but Fabian is especially cute in this one.

@@kennethmorgan8795 There were times I think Goldenhoard/KVX did go above and beyond any requirements of his position, just on the basis of him being a comparatively grounded and reasonable individual.
Making the BBEG the straightman to all of the insanity of the Aguefort Adventuring Academy is honestly a perfect narrative choice to me.
There were so many times where his responses were along the lines of: "That's insane. Don't do that. Why would you do that?"

so funny how different the campaign would’ve been if he rolled high on this. obviously no this is your dad joke which is the biggest loss but also it would’ve put a target on daybreak’s back way sooner

The frame you chose for the thumbnail is my favorite frame in this animation, great choice! So much character being displayed in their outfits and body language, fantastic stuff :)

I LOVE bad insight checks, it's one one the funniest things to me besides failing athletic checks on very easy stuff.
I finally get to play in my own party and I'm choosing an extremely smart character with bad insight. Might be a stupid idea, but it's gonna be so entertaining
I wonder how long it's gonna take until this entire series is just done in animatics.
And then I wonder how long it'll take for the compilations.

If it doesn't go viral I'm going to go into RAGE and start asking everyone if they're my dad!👹 Great job though, love the way you draw each character. Especially Gorgug's confused facial expressions, Fig smiling while giving the most insane advise and Fabian with lashes.

I think its so funny that Goldenrod is so much shorter than gorgug, although their race averages are pretty similar at around 6' - 6'3
Maybe that's part of his curse. He has to be shorter than normal for his race.
Haha I totally forgot about that! I didn't mean to make him so much shorter! In my head, Gorgug is just always the tallest in the room lol.
Great expressions, A+! And I like how you only used red against the line drawings, looks rad! And highlights (literally ayyyy & also figuratively) something I think about a lot with Fantasy High-- it's all very goof-goof hellspawn dads but People Are Dead. Like these fourteen year olds have seen more dead bodies than there are people in their fantasy home room class and that's kinda fucked up
