Tom, you absolutely perform miracles with your horn! I remember the day when Mr. Saylor used to play this as a feature during his concerts. He is, by the way, currently recuperating in a nursing home now; however, I'll get this to him via his wife, Betty. This will surely cheer him up! You are purely magical, my friend!
Haha! Thanks sir. That's me, I'm living in Australia now, I used to play with Soham, Hepworth and Faireys in England. Nice one for flying the T-horn flag, you're prolific with your videos! This one is cool, nice arpeggios in the accompaniment!
Thanks for asking Chris, I play for 1st Old Boys in Belfast and played for Jayess Queensbury when I lived in West Yorkshire (Mark Bentham, Hepworth's ex conductor was in the horn section and Steve Riddler from Brisbane Exc. was principal cornet.)
@@TomsTenorHorn it's a pleasure, thanks for the quality content without people like you we'd be losing our minds trying to get though certain notes and rythmys. A total badass
Hi Chris ... thanks for listening. I prefer your version ... it is a very professional production and you have a sound I can only aspire to. Your Jenny Jones is absolutely amazing and a very clever arrangement ... I will listen to the other tracks tonight. You have given me some ideas on how to improve!!
Hi Denny, Thank you for listening and I always appreciate your comments. Please pass on my best wishes to Mr Saylor and I hope he gets better soon. Cheers buddy :-D!!
Thank you Kerstin ... I really appreciate the compliments :-D!! I love experimenting with the movie software but I am only scratching the surface ... I must read the instructions one day ;-D!!
Hi tom, I love your recordings, have you kreutzer study 44 as indicated for tenor horn grade 8, Also, advise me on how you manage to play your notes with ease Thanks
Thanks for listening 'akamps Bruce' .... sorry I've never played kreutzer, I tend to do all my practice from the 'Arban Tutor' and 'How Brass Players Do It' but I will have a look out for it ... playing the fast parts of any piece for me is just practicing the rhythms and pitches at a much slower tempo and then gradually speeding up over a number of days ... takes a bit of patience but it eventually becomes muscle memory ... hope this helps and good luck with the grade 8 ☺☺☺ Tom
Hi Jonny ... good to hear from you mate! and thanks for the compliments. We are doing great and M. is still practising her cornet ... have you ever thought of making a comeback!!
You have a fine pedigree there Chris!! England's loss is Australia's gain :-D!! You really should post your recordings on RUclips, I'm sure you would get a lot of positive feedback. Best wishes from Tom.
Hi there Maciek, it is an Alto Horn but in the UK we call it a Tenor Horn because of the part it plays in a UK style brass band ... hope that answers your question. Best wishes from Tom:-D!!
Best wishes from Northern Ireland ... I think we would probably call your Tenor Horn a Baritone Horn over here. Is your instrument pitched in B flat? By the way your English is very good ... and my favourite speedway rider is Polish ... Tomasz Gollob:-D!!

Such an awesome song to perform. I played euphonium in high school, but that was a very long time ago.
Thanks for watching. If you have a viewpoint please share it by commenting:-D!!
Nicely done. The alto (tenor, peck, whatever) is a criminally underrated horn.
Thanks for commenting Joshua 😀
