Just went through that with dishwasher tabs that came free with a new dishwasher! Even the rinse aid was heavily scented. I immediately ordered unscented tabs AND rinse aid.
I purchased the Cosroi kettle this Black Friday and absolutely love it! We are big tea and coffee drinkers and this makes such a difference! In terms of the dishwasher pods, I quit using those several years ago because, similarly to your experience, the smell would get stuck onto the dishes and also the pods did not properly clean the dishes. Cascade platinum pods are amazing. They were work so well, don’t find the fragrance an issue at all, but I don’t put silicone in the machine, wash those by hand.
As soon as you said it had too much fragrance, I knew it was Cascade. I had put hot air popped popcorn in a tupperware I washed in the dishwasher with a Cascade pod and omg, it tasted like it! At first I thought I was imagining it, so I tried more. 🤢. I buy Finish brand.
I personally LOVE the smell of dishwasher pods, but thats because im a mom with young kids, and when you wash milk sippy cups and smelly foods , the wafting smell of milk sippy cups is awful. So it's nice to smell the detergent over everything else 😂
Cuticle nippers help hang nails. Nip that right off and use your nail oils. No need to leave hang nails on to dry and fall off. If you use nail oils daily on your cuticles you will not get hang nails.

Loving the Madagascar Centella serum. It doesn’t irritate like the CosRx Cica Intense.🤷🏻♀️ Please consider reviewing the Sulwhasoo line. I believe Sephora sells them. Which ones do you recommend and why/why not? Thank you!
Pretty sure a good chunk of Sulwhasoo products have fragrance and are pricey to boot. I see their products reviewed on smaller channels that focus on k-beauty like AliceintheRabbitHole or Kelly Driscoll.
Hi, Dr. Dray! I love your videos 🫂❤️ I’m wondering if you can recommend some products for eczema on the eyelids? My eyes get really red, itchy and irritated, and then they swell up and get SUPER dry! I do see a dermatologist, but only about twice a year, and she doesn’t recommend products 😢
Vaseline, or Cerave healing ointment (: when I had some from eyeshadow, i also did a cooling patch, and even cucumbers just to help soothe them! Gold bond eczema healing lotion is great too. You could do a rice grain amount of that, and then follow up with Vaseline
I’ve been suffering with eyelid eczema for over a year. It progressed to include a secondary eye infection. I went to the doctor. Got Tacrolimus & an antibiotic for the bacteria. Cleared right up. Once I finished the eye antibiotic and tapered the Tacrolimus a couple of days ago week. Got Covid during which time I didn’t use the Tacrolimus for a few weeks and the eyelid eczema came back. Started using the Tacrolimus again & it cleared right up! It is your eye so maybe see the doctor?Good luck.
Try hypochlorous acid spray on a cotton round and wipe the eyelids once a day. Walgreens has it. As well as Amazon. Then when it is dry, use fragrance free moisturizer or petrolatum jelly
A couple of products that I’ve tried with blue tansy as an ingredient have had a pleasant, herbal scent EXCEPT for the Kate McLeod solid face oil with Tamanu and Blue Tansy. 😳 It absolutely reeked, like rancid fennel seed (I hate fennel seed in things like Italian sausage). I love the hydroboost face wash. My oil cleanse step I was using the hada labo or kose ones all summer but now that it’s dry winter I’m using mineral oil or albolene and that really helped. My favorite most moisturizing lotion is the cetaphil in a tub.
How horrible to have your dishwasher detergent leave a soapy fragrance on your dishes. Ugh! I use Finish Classic Powerball tablets. They do a great job cleaning everything and no fragrance during the cycle or afterwards. You can even use them to scour the glass on your oven door. Just peel off the plastic film, spray the glass with warm water and use the dry tablet to scour. Wear gloves to prevent skin irritation. 😊 I can't imagine wearing a pink eyeliner. I recently bought dishwasher detergent and I had the same experience as you. My little silicone food containers taste like soap gross 🤢. Love your vlogs!
I always thought fragrance was to cut the chemical smell of the formulations. And no fragrance is actually a fragrance, that has a no fragrance scent. Wouldn't products have a chemical smell otherwise?
Some products without fragrance can have a smell. But you have folks that can't deal with the masking fragrance of some products either so that's a choice for some people. Like some people say Amlactin smells like bad milk and that has no fragrance or vit c (CEF formulas with no added fragrance smell like hot dog water).
I was a compulsive nail picker from age five to age 27. I'm 28 now and I have had normal nails for almost a year!!!! I used to literally PLAY WITH my hang nails. It was basically a form of self harm because it HURT and I didn't care; I even liked it. How fucked up is that? I finally got to an age where I was embarrassed enough that I was constantly running around with swollen, red, and infected fingertips. I have never been happier plus I can actually paint my nails! To celebrate, my husband bought me a pack of 20 different nail polish colors!!!! Edited for grammer.
I keep seeing people who say Vitamin C serums smell like hot dog water so I'm not even remotely interested in trying it out. I think a lot of products add a lot of fragrances to cover the nasty smell of certain ingredients. I recently got some Ordinary salicylic acid & the smell is musty 🤢
Hi Dr Dray - could you discuss this information that is UV index is very low, you do not need to wear sunscreen? Where I live, the daily maximum through the month of December is 0.2-0.3 - so there is barely anything. Is it ok then NOT to wear sunscreen? It is in my habit to keep blinds drawn anyway, but looks like this is extremely low index.
Dr dray. I know this is irrelevant, but I am really clueless as to how I got cellulite as a man in my 20s. I heard this is quite rare in men. I am overweight, so could that be the cause or something hormonally?

I hate all the scented products in our country. Dawn dash liquid is gross! And most effective tub cleaners are absolutely horrible! I love Trader Joe’s all-purpose spray cleaner. Great smell and it works really well. I use Cascade dishwasher pods and haven’t noticed any lingering smell. Costco’s pods stopped disintegrating after awhile; they would get stuck in the dispenser!
Mixa facial cream for sensitive skin has the strongest scent ever...Its supposed to be for sensitive skin, so why putting fragrance high on ingredients list...Many brands do this..
Speaking of smelly products, the Cetaphil Healthy Renew Night Cream smells like dirty socks..eewww. I am using it on my legs and arms because I can't stomach putting it on my face.
The one derm line she reviewed was Specific Beauty from Dr. Heather Woolery-Lloyd a few years ago. A skincare line at Target for hyperpigmentation focused on black skin.
I haven't even gotten 30 seconds in but I'm gonna be disappointed if Lume isn't on here. That ish smells like a dirty piercing or infected wound. 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮
hey bestie! 🎄 I agree completely on those dishwasher pods. I think even the Kirkland ones make silicone, spatulas smell funny. I’ve resorted to doing all my silicone, soft spatulas by hand.
Things that contain masking fragrance are usually labeled as unscented. Whole fragrance free is typically fragrance free
13:30 I am looking forward to you trying that Cosrx serum
I was a compulsive nail picker from age five to age 27. I'm 28 now and I have had normal nails for almost a year!!!! I used to literally PLAY WITH my hang nails. It was basically a form of self harm because it HURT and I didn't care; I even liked it. How fucked up is that? I finally got to an age where I was embarrassed enough that I was constantly running around with swollen, red, and infected fingertips. I have never been happier plus I can actually paint my nails! To celebrate, my husband bought me a pack of 20 different nail polish colors!!!!
Edited for grammer.
Dr.Dray, do you think its beneficial to eat collagen rich foods while on accutane ?
I use cuticle clippers
If you cut a lemon in half and add it to your cutlery tray it takes away the smell of the pods
My sister accidentally got that cascade & the scent was so awful & strong
Cascade has pods that don’t smell like that particular one
I keep seeing people who say Vitamin C serums smell like hot dog water so I'm not even remotely interested in trying it out. I think a lot of products add a lot of fragrances to cover the nasty smell of certain ingredients. I recently got some Ordinary salicylic acid & the smell is musty 🤢
Some Vitamin C serums smell that way, not all. Usually the Vit C derivatives, which are also stabler forms, have no smell.
I used Timeless and there was NO scent at all. Lovely product too, works well.
Most of those vit c are the ascorbic acid CEF serums and they mostly don't have fragrance but it's the formulation/ingredients.
Looking for a good sunscreen for the body - any recommended brands? Just want something not too expensive and not super sticky :)
She has body sunscreen from a year ago and I'd do a search, dr dray body sunscreens, for more videos.
@@db-gb5xi Thank you - will give this a try :)
See my video on the uv index
Uv index measures uvb only not uva. Therefore you should still wear sunscreen
Are those PJs polyester? Is that skin safe?
She linked them. I find that brand contains Alot of polyester items
The Pajamas! ☕️⭐️🎄
they are comfy
First?! Happy Sunday! 🧡🧡🧡
Morning!
Love you SO MUCH
Dr dray. I know this is irrelevant, but I am really clueless as to how I got cellulite as a man in my 20s. I heard this is quite rare in men. I am overweight, so could that be the cause or something hormonally?
I know A man that was overweight and he had cellulite on his thighs. I doubt it's rare
Whatever they put in men’s drugstore products, as a guy myself I can’t stand the smell… they have the half life of plutonium too…
I nip them off with a nail nipper. Sorry Dr. Dray. Love the CeraV I have it in the bathroom thats all I use . It's good for contact wearers!
It's nice up here--72°
Happy Holidays! 🎄🎁 🌟
Can you please make a video about the science behind the EU’s decision to ban zinc pyrithione? If you live in the US where piroctone olamine is harder to find, is there any advantage to using it instead?
Not much science behind that decision. We dont really use PO here, and there isnt much research on its efficacy for seb derm
That's wonderful to hear. Dr. Happy Cappy and Dove Dermacare Scalp shampoo have changed my life. I cannot thank you enough for recommending them. 🙏@@DrDrayzday
You’re right! Loved the Kirkland dishwasher pods but my brother had his dishwasher worked on and when they took it apart it was full of the wrappers.
Mixa facial cream for sensitive skin has the strongest scent ever...Its supposed to be for sensitive skin, so why putting fragrance high on ingredients list...Many brands do this..
not pleasant
Never in my 46 years have I noticed a fragrance in my cascade or dawn dish soap lol
Nothing worse than when a product smells like hotdog 🌭 water
Speaking of smelly products, the Cetaphil Healthy Renew Night Cream smells like dirty socks..eewww. I am using it on my legs and arms because I can't stomach putting it on my face.
Yes, I do not use Cascade dishwasher pods. Especially with silicone
so strong!
My maelove will pill like a mofo if I put it underneath my sunscreen! Anyways, I love watching your videos so much.
Have you been eating Cheetos??? LOL OR is it carrot juice?? Love your videos!! Do you ever review any dermatologists' skincare lines?
The one derm line she reviewed was Specific Beauty from Dr. Heather Woolery-Lloyd a few years ago. A skincare line at Target for hyperpigmentation focused on black skin.
I think it might be your dishwasher?
Do you have fake tan on the palms of your hands or is it the lighting in your bathroom?
I think it’s the lighting in her bathroom. Her face appears orange too.
Dr Dray, throw out the stinky dishwasher pods. Why suffer?
Use it every other day
I haven't even gotten 30 seconds in but I'm gonna be disappointed if Lume isn't on here. That ish smells like a dirty piercing or infected wound. 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮
Throw those pods away. If you hate the smell so much, it doesn’t make sense to continue using them.
Just use them every other day or run an extra rinse cycle
hey bestie! 🎄 I agree completely on those dishwasher pods. I think even the Kirkland ones make silicone, spatulas smell funny. I’ve resorted to doing all my silicone, soft spatulas by hand. The hard nylon tools don’t absorb the odor at all. I sort of giggled through your video on that because I have the cascade and the Kirkland both, and I completely see what you are saying. 😊
Dr Dray there's no need to stir coffee, it knows very well how to brew itself 🙏🏻 Hint by a very old coffee producer I used to know.
Merry Xmas 🎉
The French Press comes with the wooden stirrer & says to stir the grounds. I have tried it both ways & honestly I don’t taste much of a difference.
@@DrDrayzday exactly, it knows his job. Even my first French press came with a stirrer, I asked this guy, with 45 years on his back as a coffee roasting shop owner, and he forbid me to stir it 🤭🤫🤣
Happy Holidays Doc 🌲🎅🏼💕
🌹
The Ordinary has some bad smells
Dermatology's Universal Tinted Moisturizer has, to me, an icky smell. I am finishing up the bottle and won't buy it again. Anybody else notice that it has an unpleasant smell???
Sometimes products that do not have added fragrance smell bad because there isn’t any fragrance there to cover up the natural scents of the products they use. I’d rather have the bad smell then toxic ingredients on my skin. ❤
Hmm. Cheetos. 😉
Plz why ur hand is red ?! This qst is always in my mind when i watch ur fantastic videos❤❤
