Know that sound at 2:25 well. Off Moon Island in a small tinny a while back. Skipper was driving too fast for the sea. I got airborne & landed on his uber-pro model Daiwa bream rod laying across the seat next to me. I replaced it - even though the accident was totally foreseeable and completely his fault. About a week later he rang me accusing me of sabotaging the new rod - the tip snapped just like that on the second cast. Karma is a real biache. Daiwa bream rods seem _seriously_ fragile.
Hey mate.. I’m local to lake Maquarie I’m in SPEERS point. Just wanna say thanks for the videos It really helps cos I always thought there were no fish left to catch in this lake. Hahah
Great fishing once again. Looking at trying the lake next month never been there before hopefully the dews are still around. Could you recommend a caravan park to stay at ?
Yes I have that happen to me twice that’s why I don’t buy Diawa rods now. First time I casted and it snapped and the second time as a was winding it in I hooked up and it just snapped
I use diawa and Wilson blade n tails rods. After decades of use no breaks. I have seen rods break and it has been caused by one of 3 prior actions: 1. The rod has a fracture from hitting the boat gunwale (why I insist on using rod holders, NEVER rest the rod on the floor or gunwale) 2. Rods in rod holders while boat is on-road and stones hit the rod causing a slight fracture. This can be very common. 3. Rods being belted by sinkers when in transport. Very common when beach fishing. Either way these quality rods need a fracture to cause the break. I have caught thousands of fish on diawa and never had one break under load. Hope this assists. Colin
Looks like there's too much fish there for you to eat had of let me know i would have come over and give you a hand to eat em wouldn't have been a problem mate 🤣🤣
Jezz mate i thought you took your finger off at 35:40

Seems they are from all the feedback. It's the first rod that snapped like that in 37yrs of fishing very odd
Fantastic! Do you wash the salt and brown sugar off before smoking? Or do you leave it on the outside while it cooks?
Cheers, leave it on.mate 👍
Nice fishing bro
