Longer intake runners actually increase low end torque at the expense of upper rpm power but I'm sure you meant to say that.
You're absolutely right. I must have mixed that up somewhere in the video.
I haven't dynoed mine yet but I have damn near everything you have , but a 347 11r 170 heads 53 cc chambers works out like 11.1 compression tkx trans and it's a monster 275 can't hold it down for 3 gears lol hope I have 470 or better

We went from aluminum flywheel to a heavier steel flywheel slowed the car because unsettothe car every shift and was picking the front wheels in third gear where the aluminum one straight as an arrow with wheels on the ground ram long style with sinard iron disc adjustable base pressure plate
Can you say that again, but in another way? I’m interested in the changes you experienced from aluminum flywheel to heavier steel flywheel. Like does the engine de-rev slower with the heavy?

Where are you guys located?? Also is a 331 stroker a good kit option when looking to boost? If so which variant of the 331 stroker will be good. Also do you guys build road course cars??
We're located in Northern Kentucky, just south of Cincinnati, Ohio. Yes, we can build cars suited to road course. A 331 would be a good choice for boost, but you'd want to go with a piston that would give you lower compression unless running E85 or methanol.
could a fella use 245cc high ports, solid roller camshaft, and use a turbo setup

Would the SCAT 1-94055 kit be about the same? I think the only difference would be the piston volume of 11cc vs 5cc...this would be for a nitrous build.

Nice build, really want a 89 mustang with a 331 fuel injected engine like yours. Was wondering is it true that carb set-ups make more top end power but less torque than fuel injected ones? Also how much torque dose your 331 make?
That all depends on the intake runner size, not the fueling method. Carb intakes typically have longer runners which make more torque. However, you can get longer-runner EFI intakes that would make just as much torque as a big, tall carb intake. My 331 made 425 lbs/ft of torque.

They actually don't make the kit anymore. I believe they still make all the components, but we've been told you have to call them now.
The F3 from moates doesn't come with the tunes on it correct? Where can I find good tunes for it?
You have to have a tuner who burns to those chips perform the tune for you.

Surprised you didn’t go with the TFS box R intake. But it seems like the Vic 5.0 gets the job done.
Yeah the box R was actually going to be the choice for my 363 build, but I'm going another route.

@@jefflebo5836 we never did a check on it because we didn't have any vacuum issues with it. Now the .728 lift can in my 363...different story lol
Savage Productions have you gotten everything sorted out on the 363? I saw the vid where you had some valve-piston problems. I think I would have died if that happened.
@@jefflebo5836 Yeah the engine has been rebuilt and it's just sitting under my dining room table waiting to be dropped in. Going to have to keep it on the back burner for now, unfortunately.
tell me more about the gforce T5, that was straight cut gears?
It was the strongest T5 they built that still came with synchros. It does have straight cut gears.

How was the drivability in the street with this 331 build (cam). I autocross / roadrace my car but also street drive / cruise my car alot with family. And have a stick. Don't want to hate driving my car like some track cars lol Debating Coyote or 331.. Thanks
The car was very drivable. I wouldn't hesitate to have a setup like this as a daily (in another car that wasn't as nice, had a highway gear, and a non-noisy transmission).

I thought u had a .723 lift cam I googled ur numbers cam up voodoo under .600 lift and it’s hydraulic, I have same setup looking for a cam in the area of urs can u give me part number?
The .728 is for the 363 engine
What exhaust/headers?
Mac 1 7/8" headers, Mac Pro Chamber, Flowmaster 40 series mufflers, turndowns

@frankenstein01 yup it sucks. kF Kustoms has reverse engineered the Moats but it's not yet available amd I can guarantee it will be more money than it was.
