If the meat is different from chicken, it's because it's a rooster. Chicken is slaughtered at around 3 months old, whereas a rooster is slaughtered later, typically at 6 to 8 months or even older. This makes the meat darker, with a stronger flavor. That’s why it’s often slow-cooked, simmered gently over low heat for a long time (known as confit).

Good cuisine, good food is a reflection of a way of life that we share wholeheartedly with our Italian brothers and, more distantly, our Chinese friends. So we must draw closer to one another and distance ourselves from the ignorant in this matter; they eat poorly and are bad and troubled in their souls.
To eat frog in France is a myth(e) but to eat snails it's true (cooked with a " beurre d'escargot" : crush salt butter garlic parsley pepper) in a oven. Be generous with the sauce and it must be well done.

Eating duck breast in Paris is sacrilege ! You have to come to the South West to taste the best. And South West means Cassoulet, Garbure, confit de Canard, Salade Landaise, Axoa...

This makes the meat darker, with a stronger flavor. That’s why it’s often slow-cooked, simmered gently over low heat for a long time (known as confit).
Finally a tourist that didn't eat snails and frog legs, thank you !
My friend, everything is in the description of the video! 😁

French food is good... in good restaurants.
Next time go to the French countryside : the quality/price ratio is much better
and yet, only French gastronomy is classified in its entirety as part of the heritage of humanity! I wrote, in its entirety!
I remember once having a nice argument with my italian friends about food culture and why both country were amongst the best and I was saying that the french cuisine (except our french tradional cuisine ) was more about fusion cuisine instead of the italian cuisine that was more about heritage ,products made in Italy bla bla bla ...but without exploring or combining differents culture. they were like no no you're wrong we welcome all differents cuisine .....i said ok question could you tell me how many french restaurants there is in italy vs France ? I am still waiting for an answer after 10 years .
Anyway you enjoyed it & it's the most important
I guess you'll have to wait forever 😂 I don't know much about french food but yeah, Italian food is a lot about tradition for sure and local products..
@@nollatfoodvibes ;)
Most of what you tried that day actually are specialties from the south west of france.
The only problem with the "Cassoulet", is that, it's better to sleep alone after, otherwise, she may be upset with the "smell" in the room ! 🤣
Thank you for your nice comments on the french food ! Grazie !
Good cuisine, good food is a reflection of a way of life that we share wholeheartedly with our Italian brothers and, more distantly, our Chinese friends. So we must draw closer to one another and distance ourselves from the ignorant in this matter; they eat poorly and are bad and troubled in their souls.
it seems to me that you might find inspiration and salivation seeing "Gueuleton des Bons Vivants"...
Come in West South of France ( Béarn, Landes, Gers) , this is the real place to eat duck, pork...Best & simple cooking, made by people and not chef.
A more excellent combo is a stew of leg of lamb with flageolet beans.
Looks like real french food for once. Seems like a great restaurant. But I can tell you, the best ones are not in Paris. Nice video. Cheers
Finally, food meets p*rn haha Glad you enjoyed your stay in France
❤ vorrei essere stato lì con te...

To eat frog in France is a myth(e) but to eat snails it's true (cooked with a " beurre d'escargot" : crush salt butter garlic parsley pepper) in a oven. Be generous with the sauce and it must be well done.
I forgot the french baguette ...
I've tried snails! It was great! It is in the other video I made from Paris 😁 ruclips.net/video/A-jbBF9glsw/видео.htmlsi=aQ6jRxHvWdZcOay9
Ok, I leave you to your ceremony
c'est meilleur que les fast food 🙂
For your information the capital of food in France is Lyon, not Paris
Absolutely no, it's juste the place of bocuse, before... Sorry. Castelnaudary the true place.
👍🏻 Et oui

I'm french and i want give a précision to "COQ au vin" Coq is a chicken, but not everyones, it's rooster!
no dessert ?
@@rowenn1729 I tried some dessert and they were actually really good.. it is that I'm more into savoury dishes!

Eating duck breast in Paris is sacrilege ! You have to come to the South West to taste the best. And South West means Cassoulet, Garbure, confit de Canard, Salade Landaise, Axoa...
Thank you for the recommendation! I can't wait to come back to France! 😁
the garbure is a bit a dish for gros bourrins who lachent des caisses in the vestiaires of the rugby
you miss boeuf bourguigon !
Very true! It was on my list but unfortunately I have only one stomach 😂 I'm going to come back for that!
QUI CUCINA ITALIANA......KISS😘
It appears you don't really like meat, don't you ? 😄 Hope you really enjoyed your moments. 😉
Merci d'apprécier la cuisine française ! just a remark : you have not to pronouce the "t" of the word cassoulet, it sounds: " cassoulé.. Adoro anche la cucina italiana !
Fabulous, but what about wine ?
I want to come back for that! I love wine! I was in Paris only a few days unfortunately
Tanta roba ✨ bravo 👏
@@tommasopistillo8450 thank you brother 🙏
each time he said cassoulet i would pass through the screen and give him a gentle slap 😝
You understand life: good food is very erotic!🤩
OMG, how old are you ?
And a video of an old american eating duck…etc !
Prosperous !
Hahaha 😂
I think with your lamb the fruit wasn’t dates but figs
1:59 About the bone marrow, try with some mustard on the bread. It work great ;)
Great suggestion!
"Coq au vin" is not chicken but rooster witch meat is more tasty but difficult to be coocked otherways then marinated in wine for more tenderness and than stewed.
@@jean-loupdesbordes4833 I learnt that later on! It felt different, and it was so beautifully made🤤
What’s left of our culture? Cuisine 😥😄
coq = rooster, not chiken...😉
How kgs dis you put on while there 🤣🤣🤣😎
A lot 😭😂
