"In next Winter, I'll serve this soup to the whole village". Such a sharing mindset is a blessing hope we all get in life
IMHO soups are best shared with as many people as possible. Its hard to just make a little bit of soup.

Anyway. It's for my dad who's in hospital.

Love from Norway 🤗
It’s so interesting to see not only the way they think of the food but the way they phrase compliments; it will be easy to digest, it will give you vitality in the winter, help heal wounds/thins the blood. We use to have a much more holistic and emotional attachment to our foods
Excellent observation. And communal feeling of enjoyment as well - the one guy says he wants to share it with his whole village in winter.
Well said.
There is nothing finer than a great onion soup, such as how this was made with the garlic bread and cheese ! 🤤
Let food be thy medicine. Seems this is their mentality.

Best i ever had was in a superb restaurant in Versailles. We had arrived at the Palace on a trip from Paris and it was teeming down with rain. The Palace had tourists, hundreds of us.. standing out in the rain whilst they shut for lunch. This was in around 1989. I had seen this restaurant on the way through the town so said to my friend, lets go for lunch in a dry warm place. Two American ladies we had been talking to asked if they could join us. It was wonderful. French Onion soup all round and the best wine and coffee. We came out to the sun shining and a huge rainbow over the palace just as the doors opened. People were soaked to the skin, shaking with cold and miserable. we were all warm and had a fun time with the two American ladies who stuck by our side for the rest of the tour and were wonderful companions despite being around thirty years older than us.
Maybe someday someone will make a proper french onion soup for these people. French onion soup isn't made with chicken broth, it's made with beef broth and it doesn't have coriander in it, it has parsley
*_The garlic bread would have been very soggy and therefore not very pleasant to eat._*

I don't personally speak the languages they speak, so I have no clue if they are being courteous or not, I however do know Chinese, Korean, and Japanese similar channels use a lot of derogatory statements that are conveniently translated to be pleasant and tasteful in English captions. Why do you think they eliminated the women from the channel?
My family is from the American south (Oklahoma) and I grew up eating Okra in soup! When we make vegetable soup we add all kinds of fresh things, it's wonderful. Okra is pretty good in soup :)

@@patriciamorgan6545 Yes, it does actually have Frankfurters in it. :)
@@stillstormie7222 I don't think RUclips allows to post links in comments, so I will try to post the recipe itself and see what happens:
INGREDIENTS - FOR 4-6 PERSONS
1 head of savoy cabbage
2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
1 medium yellow onion
3 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves of garlic, minced
4 - 6 pieces of Frankfurter
50 g (1.8 oz) lardons/bacon, diced
200 ml (0.8 cup) soured cream
1 tbsp white flour
1 tsp salt (or to taste)
black pepper
1 tsp caraway seeds
1 tsp paprika powder
water
HOW TO MAKE
Remove the tougher outer leaves of the cabbage, cut into quarters and remove the core. Shred the leaves into strips.
Finely chop the onion, dice the potatoes into small chunks.
Start off the diced lardons on a little oil and cook slowly on medium heat until release some of the fat and start to turn translucent.
Add the finely chopped onions and saute until just cooked.
Take off the heat stir in the minced garlic
Back on the heat, add the shredded cabbage leaves, diced potatoes salt and the tsp caraway seeds.
Pur in enough water so it just covers the cabbage and potatoes. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and cook until the potatoes are soft and the cabbage is cooked, it really doesn’t take long, just a couple of minutes.
Cut the frankfurters into disks and drop them in the dish cook for a further few minutes. Frankfurters are nearly always already cooked and don’t need long cooking, see the packaging for instructions regarding cooking time.
Check the water add a bit more if deemed necessary.
Mix the sour cream and flour until smooth in a bowl, ladle over a little of the hot liquid from the soup and mix, pour this now runny sour cream mixture into the simmering soup whilst stirring, bring to the boil until the soup thickens slightly.
The origins of the soup are somewhat debated, but I know for a fact that it was often served in cafeterias around socialist East Germany. The dish might have fallen out of favor in Germany itself since.
It is fascinating how they immediately recognise it as a winter soup.
The first time I ever tried French Onion Soup was when my father got a job in Paris as a diplomat and worked there for 3 years. FOS was one of the things that wowed him and it was one of the first things he made me try when I went to visit him.
Je suis purement français, et pourtant je n'ai jamais manger une nourriture pareil, c'est incroyable ! Cette soupe semble exquise ☺
Je confirme, c'est trop bon quand c'est bien réalisé !
I always saw my dad get it in restaurants when I was a kid. I think I was told once that it was an “adult soup” so that I wouldn’t ask for it and burn my mouth on the hot cheese by being impatient. But that led to my never trying it. I always forget it exists, but I really want to try it.

@@HAIRHOLIC_1 I would love to watch that
He doesn't need a recipe for this one he's already figured it out.
They're totally correct in thinking it's a winter food, we do eat this mainly in winter here in the colder parts of Europe :) I love how much they enjoy this, they get almost philosophical :)
I bet they will like pea soup as well, with some sausage and buttered rye bread. (we call it snert / erwtensoep)
"Correct"? ...that would imply it's _incorrect_ to eat it when it isn't winter, but that would just be plain stupid.
You might eat it only bin the winter ,but many of us in America eat it all the time, anytime.
The idea that food is exothermic or endothermic is somewhat out-dated in Europe and not strictly practiced on a "per food" basis since most stuff is stocked all year round by supermarkets unless it's a seasonal fruit/veg and naturally limited to parts of the year. I'd never even heard of it before seeing this channel and hearing these guys speak of food being "hot" or "cold" in the sense that it should only be eaten in summer or winter. In Europe, the fact that we eat soups in winter and ice cream in summer is more a tradition than a belief in pseudoscience, since digestion is an exothermic process regardless of the food being consumed. Soup might warm you up for a bit, ice cream might cool you down for a while, but the only reason they're popular at certain times of the year is because manufacturers have made it this way, to promote sales at certain times of the year to stimulate their ecomony, and because people are comfortable with the idea of tradition - ice creams on the beach in summer, hot soup and a cosy blanket in winter. We probably drink more tea/coffee in winter and coke/pepsi in summer, but that doesn't stop us drinking them all year round. No such thing as "winter food" or "summer food", just food that's more commonly sold and eaten during those seasons/ I make far more pasta salads in summer and more rice dishes during winter, yet pasta and rice are not seasonal foods... it's just a habit for me, tradition for some, and what we can be bothered to cook and eat in hot/cold weather. I don't find it weird for people to eat whatever they want, whenever they want... having ice cream in winter is fine.
Bro Dutch food is disgusting especially this pea soup 🤮
As a Pakistani, I highly doubt they would like Pea Soup! Would be awesome to see their reactions though! Lol

There is an okra soup made in West Africa with goat and peanut butter. That will blow their minds and can easily be made with halal goat. Ingredients
1 pound goat meat cut into small cubes
2 medium yellow sliced onion
2 medium chopped green pepper
2 large potatoes diced
2 medium carrots diced
1 cup sliced okra
1 cup smooth peanut butter
5 cups vegetable broth
One big pinch of salt or to taste
2 whole cloves
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon allspice
2 hot peppers sliced
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vinegar
Directions
Sauté goat and olive oil until goat is browned, add onions and green peppers and heat for 3 minutes. Add broth okra and carrots to peanut butter in a separate cup and stir well. Add all ingredients to goat mixture cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Serve over rice.

The traditional way with beef broth is tasty, but it's on a whole new level when made with a double chicken stock made with golden roasted chicken backs and necks.
The reason they don't use beef (or anything with pork), is because the larger group has both muslims and hindus in it. Muslims and jews don't eat pork, and hindus don't eat beef.
Mr Chaudry, beef broth makes an even tastier onion soup. Just thought I'd offer that information to you.

I think he mistakes parsley leaves for corridor (cilantro)
@Barbara M I've thought that about a few other dishes they've had as well. I think that they said there was coriander in the sauce, when they were served spaghetti and meatballs for the first time. I had assumed then that they'd confused it with parsley.
It is understandable, since it can be difficult to tell the difference between Italian flat-leaf parsley and fresh coriander until you smell or taste it.
Back when I first started cooking, I grabbed cilantro instead of parsley at the grocery store and ended up with a very different pesto than I was hoping for. LOL

These are such wonderful people! They are truly brave to try everything that is set before them and they always give thanks! I love to see the reactions to the things they really enjoy! I always enjoy seeing things that make people happy! Hello and Love from Ky.
I'm french and you usually use stale bread as it will soften in the soup but will still be crispy and crunchy, while the cheese is melting.
It's a popular/poor dish but so tasty :) (the most frugal way is hot water/onion/staler bread, but salt, spice & cheese are a perfect add to this dish)
Bread with garlic is delicous ("préfou" was used to know when the oven was hot, and salvaged as toast for garlic and butter spread in the supper or jam for the breakfast, but i'm digressing) and we eat it more as a "stand alone" but it's still great with onion soup.

I enjoy to watch these people. They are so calm and decent in front of the camera... so relaxing to watch their reactions!... ))
The best thing about these for me, is how happy we feel when we share something good. 😊
French Onion Soup, and Asian Hot and Sour Soup are my favorites 😊
Two of the World's Greatest Soups!
Mine too!
et encore, vous n'avez pas goûté à la Soupe aux Choux !!
and Chorba
Watching these reactions is wonderful. I've been fortunate in life to experience many of the thing seen in these video, and wish I could share.
I enjoy seeing these guys try all different foods and seeing how it compares to their dishes. They are also so in tune with what is healthy for the body and such it’s very insightful. I hope they enjoy it as well! Can’t wait to see what they try next. Also I want a mustache as glorious some day.
These gentleman are my favorite characters on RUclips right now. Thank you!
These men's reactions are just the sweetest the joy they get on their face makes one smile 😃
The Province of Quebec in Canada is famous for its onion soup, we call it French onion soup in Canada. It's really delicious!
i cannot stop watching this channel.. it is so amusing , yet it is very humbling to see their reactions of things i take for granted everyday
I love making french onion soup, it is such a relaxing process.
French onion soup. My favorite!
I love real French Onion Soup. I've never made it because to get the onions to the right consistency and level of caramelization is quite a lot of work but oh my is it delicious!! So glad they enjoyed it.
Yes, it takes a LOT of sliced onions and about an hour (with stirring) to get them to the right consistency, before adding the broth, making the croutons, adding/toasting the cheese, etc. I did it precisely once. Makes me wonder how my mother made it so often when I was a kid. She must have had a shortcut I don't know about.
I can’t wait until the day this channel reaches 500k subscribers. Bless these dear men and may God bless Pakistan in this so difficult times.
'Chewing gum soup!' -- that was brilliant! I laughed so hard. Thank you!
Dr Tahir: "Garlic is the enemy of cholesterol. Garlic thins the blood."
Me: "I just thought it worked against vampires...."
😂
he's actually right too!
😂😂😂
@@RonnyDoplo For once he is. Although I would be the first to admit to hate when they talk about the health benefits of food. Food is not medicine. They would have to eat buckets full of the items to have enough of the active ingredient in their bodies to experience the benefits they're talking about. Except for garlic, it is somewhat more potent (just somewhat).
It makes your blood to thin to sustain the vampire... lol
@@beingsneaky AhhhhHaaa!!!! Got it. Thanks. 😆
You guys are going to have to call a halt to these tasting videos. I’ve already gained 20 pounds just watching them enjoy all this yummy stuff 😋🤣
"There's a party in my mouth and everyone's invited" I was expecting any of them to say this...🤣🤣🤣
Always good to see you guys enjoying world cuisine.
Food is love shared with family and friends.
Oh my goodness. The look on the good Dr's. Face like you were feeding him a horrible thing. Lol. Then he liked it! Onion soup is very good. And so easy to make! God bless them.🥰
My absolute favorite soup. So easily made at home. Love their faces of doubt switched to enjoyment. 😳😋 ❤️🤍💙
I like the commentaries, "easy to digest, "I wll give energy", "good in winter", it connect with time where food was just fuel to the body, and these people still think like that, they eat to live where in richer countries we are more on the "live to eat" mindset
really interesting
To be thankful. Not only appreciate but celebrate the good things in life, no matter how small. That is what these videos and the people in them have taught me.
