🤣🤣🤣🤣
And damn was it brief
After this video I'll skip delve harder than ever before.
Great video and very informative.
Hhahah
You don't need to deep delve to make tons of money
I made like 35-40 div in just a couple of days at around 250-300, if you go and grab all the resonators and kill the bosses and get abit lucky it was extremely profitable. The resonators big ones was like 100c each, found 28 in 2 days, and multiple 100 of the smaller ones, and then ofc some luck on the items from the bosses, and some div cards and fossils.
It is definitely profitable! it was my first time delving, so i was probably pretty inefficient xD
im new to the game and this is my first league and thats how i have been making currency, flipping resonators @@oleskou2436
I'm at depth >300 and made 70div from delving. Probably not efficient but for a noob like me it's a win🤷
Gotta say you're an awesome teller. I don't get bored listening to you even though I don't really care about the content
he probably can tell made up stories and facts pretty convincing :P
@@gymlin123I saw Mathil at a hideout trade yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for a PoB review or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” declining my trade offer repeateldy. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to buy my gilded sulphite scarabs from the currency bot i saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Incandescent invitations in his hands without paying.
The Chieftan in the party was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear the Chieftan, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When the Chieftan took 15 of the Incandescent invitations and charged 15 divines, Mathil stopped him and told him to trade them each individually “to prevent any TFT RunDMC,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After he traded each Incandescent invitation individualy, he kept interrupting him by yawning really loudly.
@@ConnerConversehell yea dude
@@ConnerConverse i hate the fact that it actually felt real at the start, u are good at this lol, +1 sub and thanks for the video, really helped a lot!
@@ConnerConverse It took me longer than it should have to recognize this pasta
This is a man who understands the definition of comprehensive.
Over 2 hours long and I'm happy to watch it all. Thanks so much for putting this out!
Thanks for putting this info dump and demonstration together. I've been getting into delve more and more lately, and I still learned a lot. F's in the chat for your azurite o7
As an expert delver, this video put together years worth of knowledge and closely kept secrets in 2 hours. Job well done. It reminded me of a couple forgotten things such as the unbeatable abyss. I could never remember which one it was so I avoided both!
can you please recommend a deep delver build for a no brain player? I like to play POE while watching my shows. definitely not boneshatter
Hands down the best delve guide I have seen, so many questions I had has been answered.
Great job!
Fantastic video, man!
There are a few things I would add regarding the Aul's fight.
• If you know (for example, because of inc. AoE) that Aul is likely to destroy some of your cacoons (more than 4 - giving him access to Hur-Nak phase), try to make him destroy them in semi-circle only on one side of the arena. This way, once he starts his Hur-nak phase, if you played it correctly and he only destroyed cacoons on one side of the arena, you still can use the other side to avoid his barrage.
• The projectiles coming from destroyed cacoons towards him during the Hur-nak phase also do damage
• The Hur-nak barrage is actually quite easy/doable if you have enough movement speed and do not fuck-up your whole arena. Just move towards the outside part of the arena and run in a clockwise/counterclockwise manner. Once you run into destroyed cacoons, blink over the barrage beam and run the other way. It takes some practice, but can be done
• The destroyed cacoons leave Damage over Time pools on the ground, which in combination with inc AoE and greater depths can get super rippy
• If you run too far from Aul, he will cast the Dash ability towards you. This does 5 - 7.8k (same for all his abilities) base damage, and 75% of this damage is physical converted to Cold. So try to keep close to him
• One attack you did not mention (or maybe I just missed it) is his Abyss Slam, where he sticks his sword to the ground and veins start growing towards you covering approximately 1/4th of the arena. Once they reach the edge of the arena, it explodes
Even though I have never delved so deep as you do, I was killing Auls with too low of a DMG on my ignite vortex elementalist, some fights taking up to 10+ minutes, while every single ability could kill me (so pretty much zHP meta). So yeah... you learn those abilities over time. And compared to uber pinnacle bosses, you can actually try as many times as you want for quite cheap, thanks to sulfite scarabs being so easy to get (compared to pinnacle bosses invitations, etc.)
Thank you for the in depth rundown. I love how you get to the details and don't just hit the surface level of the mechanics.
Yeah, I watched the entire thing. I've been waiting on this video for years! Can't wait to catch you on stream to ask some follow up questions.
love ur content. Always wanted to get into delving but i never had the time and motivation to learn all the important things so thank you for ur help.
I started getting into delve during blast from the past event and was having so much fun with it that I just kept going on same character back in standard. Only at 400 right now but I love that it actually pressures you to upgrade your build to the limit instead of sitting around on a good enough build until you get bored and quit the league.
This video is super helpful, I'd love to see more stuff like this in the community for other niche mechanics that only a handful of players really understand.
There are two reasons in general that I watch any video: A feat of great storytelling, or an expression of great proficiency. This video manages both of these, well done.
I think it's insane how you're sharing in detail on what's considered to be one of the most closely guarded secret in PoE after the lab run rework sometime ago. Thanks for sharing.
Wait what was the lab run secret? I've never heard of that. (Also the cluster jewel seeding being kept secret, that was insane too)
I haven't commented in probably 10+ years on a RUclips video, but I really liked this one. I learned a lot and watched everything while grinding exp ^^
Omg i waited for such a detailed and advanced delve guide from a good delver since i started delving in ultimatum. I had to learn most of this by my self and still can get some new Information from this video.
I can't believe I enjoy this video so much, I am a newbie to PoE and didn't understand a lot of what you talk about but you have a very good way of explaining things, your voice is loud and clear as well.
an absolute madman. the God of Delve knowledge, ty sir, it's been a blast for the full 135 minutes.
Wow, even with all that info, you manage to speak so well and clear. Amazing video
0 deaths (besides deliberate ghennix hit) 1 take 1 try 2 mt dew sips
I really like this video. Very informative and I learned several new things about POE. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience
I just watched this because wanted to try delving deeper in standard. This is a huge wealth of knowledge, and big kudos to you for making this vid
Wow, what a video. I'm honestly blown away by how much info there is. Big thanks.
Awesome guide, thanks a lot for sharing all your experiences with you, I played your mana mjolnir in Kalandra league, was awesome :)
thank you for this information mountain,im watched trough the whole vide, wery well done.i will try this deep delve thing on next league.is always was on my list
I am so glad i randomly stumbled on your channel on twitch. Gonna go deep into delve this league no matter what, hope mjolnir league starter wont get gutted
Never would have guessed a PoE vid with tons of info on Delve with numbers and spreadsheet could have been so informative. I'm now at 35 minutes and I'll keep watching. You're presentation keeps me hooked as I'm expecting a new piece of info to come right around the corner and it does!
Fun fact, I'm a crap player who has done delve but could never even find a fractured wall so I just stopped that mechanic. Like I said, crap player is I.
I dont even delve and still watched this. Lots of great info
Delve has always been my favorite mechanic. Thansk for laying it all out like this.
This might be the most insightful PoE video out there in and outside of delve. Incredible work.
Thank you for this! Ive been wondering for years how people do it and couldnt find anything on youtube. Legend
Good content, I'm going to stick with Shallow Delving 200-300 and doing walls, since most of my raw divine drops the last 3 leagues were behind walls. I enjoy my laid back RF walking sim and watching content on second monitor.
All this confirms is you guys like Rudy are fking insane going so deep and having builds that makes the rest of path look like act 1.
act 1 mud flats is the only thing that is harder then 6k delve.
Very insightful and it was peaceful listening to you
Wow, I've learned a lot in this video. Thank you for bringing this content to us.
I have been looking for this kind of video. Great stuff.
the best to ever do it, thanks for the extensive breakdown
Man, this was sweet. Thanks for putting it out there.
1:00:01 - Would like to add my strength stacker venom gyre berserker also reached 6k this league. Great video.
My apologies then. A few 6k profiles were clearly rerolls like the pathfinder who's tornado shot that played eye of winter so I just assumed that was an armour stacker
Extremely useful guide! Very detailed! I’m going to delve next league, still don’t know which build to use. Probably will play as armorstarcker scion or jugg/chief. Thanks :)
I was thinking the same thing. I'm curious about armour stacking and am not sure which ascendency to pick. Hear any whisperings about changes post patch notes?
this is amazing information Conner, thanks a lot!
legendary video, was a good watch, thanks for the upload sir
Wow, that's crazy DPS bro, and more so the smarts it takes to do it. Props!
Wow, thanks for all the infos! What a great video on my fav league mechanic :)
Great content, thanks for all the info. would love to see a build guide for your current setup in the future
its just a more perfect gear version of my manaforged arrow guide from last league
@@ConnerConverse which of your builds between manaforged arrow, manabond mjolnir and archmage bv would you recommend for next season?
@@aprofessionalateverything7585you pretty much only have mjolner for league start. I'd go bv if you want a dedicated bosser or manaforged later if you plan on very high investment
@ConnerConverse I'm probably going to do hideout warrior / logbook stuff at the start to make currency for a strong build, and I want to try delve as well as feared invitations, so it sounds like manaforged is the best option. Thanks for the response!
@@ConnerConverse bro holy shit have you seen the manabond buffs? I'm leaguestarting mjolner now
Never heard of you before, logged maybe 3k hours in PoE and i'm only 25 minutes into this video so far. But Holy fuck, I had no idea there was an HP cap in this game. Looking forward to more. Always loved delve just as a mechanic.
Thx for the timestamps. I watched the Mt Dew one a couple times now and hope you can add some additional information to it. Felt a bit short, given how important the hydration cap is in deep delve. :/
Yea so it was an effective swig but the efficiency was super low. 1 per 2 hour 16m video for a sustained period of time won't last and will degrade the vocal chords. Need probably 3/hr long term
Amazing delve guide 🎉 phew long vid came to end:) lots of good info
Amazing video, you have no idea how much this has helped and inspired me
Such a good video man. Earned a sub!
This was awesome. I'm just coming back after 6.5 years away from the game and I'm definitely a casual player, but I absolutely love the depths* the game has now. I so want to get good enough to enjoy some of the end-game now as back then it was really just maps, which was cool, but not this cool. Thanks for a great vid. Watched every second even though there's a snowball's chance in hell I'll get pack into PoE enough to profit from these techniques. It makes the game so much more fun to know there are areas I'll never get to master that are just out of reach. I am going to try Delve though, but just as a casual. I'm finishing up Act 10 now and will actually have to buy gear (SSF up to this point).
Your in depth videos are fascinating.
Well i watched all 2 hours n 15 minutes. Very informative and well done
Have to say i knew a little about the cap somehow, but it was from where i went to buy an icicle mine build before the Nerf to depths and had asked why it was a glass cannon. His answer was he had no room to take any life if he wanted to get his dps close enough to the cap to one shot everything but bosses. Rest of this video was solid gold though love the effort thank you
Thank you for a non clickbait video, that actually has content. A blessing to have the rare content creator that just makes a good informative video without "POG" overreacting garbage. Thanks.
Amazing video!! I appreciate all the info 10/10
The fact that you made a 2 hours video on delve its an insta suscribe from me. Thanks for your work!
"hur-nak means.... logout" KEK
Okay sir, S tier video, you somehow managed to make not only the most comprehensive guide to learning about delving, you managed to keep the fun and energy in it for 2 hours.
About 54:10, you talk about %chance for the rare fossil nodes. Under the hood we know (from datamining) that Delve has 5 tiers of nodes. Outside cities, Tier 4 is always a rare fossil, tier 3 always a map node, tier 2 has lots of variance and includes the 'triple azurite' nodes, tier 1 also varied and has 'double azurite' and tier 0 is also varied. In cities, tiers 0 and 1 cannot have bosses, tier 4 is almost always a boss unless the city already has a boss, and 2 and 3 can be either. POEDB lists them all.
I believe (and this is not proven) that the game rolls 0-3 on a roll that's hugely biased by your depth, then adds 1 if the node is a dead end.
I'm curious if this helps you crack it.
I've personally compared depth 1500 to depth 5k for 2 leagues in a row and found the rare fossil rate at 5k to be slightly higher at 5k than 1500 each time but not significantly enough to say for sure (like 90% vs 80%)
@@ConnerConverse How's the tier 3 nodes (maps) compare in frequency? Obviously you don't care about maps any more, POE has changed from the days where maps were loot, but they may be a useful marker.
@@sirgogdon't think I've paid enough attention or remember back to around 1500 to give a valid comparison there
@@ConnerConverse @sirgog we now have a quest
More knowledge to add to the ever growing collection that is PoE? Hell yeah brother, thanks for the video and info
Fun fact for Time Lost/Essence Nodes:
You can use remnants of corruption on these. From the 4 outcomes, 2 can be helpfull: Reroll the type of essence and release, so you can fight it alone instead of 4 at a time. Unfortunately it can also upgrade the essences or add another one, making the fight harder.
Spectactular video, watched whole thing you've inspired me to endure this masochism as well
I don't have much delve knowledge and this is very interesting, thx for sharing!
What an awesome and informative video!
Love it!
Top notch video. Thank you so much dude!
Late to this party. Great content, well worth the full watch.
your build hands down the best build overall which has both the highest damage and also highest defense layer that can do all the contents in the game. Can't believe you can come up with a build like this around stacking attribute and mana. Wanna try the build but surely I will never have enough currency to build min max like this
I feel like these people always take printing money for granted. Like they do things without even realizing they are doing it. Like a jumping spider chasing prey, it's just autonomic. I'm the opposite. I have to consciously think of everything and so I suck at all of it XD
@@Innomenfor example, I spent about 65% of this video talking and standing still or looking at a spreadsheet/calc. I made around 22 divines while recording this video
@@ConnerConverseThat's not what I mean. Snowballing money you already have is far easier than the climb. The list of skills for that is long amounting to racing and wallstreet, plus social tasks. Earning is its own game with a dozen subspecialties.
Amazing video. Very informative and sort of enlightening in the part about nerf leagues and hp cap. Also i have a pretty weird question. Can self poison/bleed setup be hypothetically tanky enough for deep delve? Because it scales from your own damage even with zero investments into dot you still have some crazy healing. Unfortunately you can't see the exact numerical amount in both pob and poe but you also can't see it in game because your hp is either 0 or full. Would love to hear your take on this idea.
"this video will probably be about an hour"
>video is over 2 hours LMAO
great video conner!
That was awesome, thanks for posting!
This video is fantastic. As someone who has never really delved beyond ~500 depth, I knew some of this stuff but far from all of it.
While this doesn't change the truth of anything you said, I will say the less damage modifier on Uber bosses wasn't there originally. If I recall correctly, they had a 200% more life modifier on the zone on release (which people saw in standard).
It quickly became obvious that this was a problem, because more life on the zone also affects corpses so DD (and other corpse life scaling builds) would be absolutely broken for Ubers. Within the first day or two of the league they patched it to the version we see now - leaving DD less than a third as strong as it would have been otherwise. It still ended up being the best skill for the SSFHC Uber race even after the nerf, but it was far closer.
Amazing vid. On the topic of the hp cap and numbers inflating in poe, i could 100% see them doing a stat squish like WoW did a few years ago. Like maybe when poe 2 comes out they just take a zero or two off of everything in poe 1
I imagine poe 2 will at least start with much smaller numbers than the current poe 1. Not sure what will happen to poe1. I'd also imagine poe 2 will reach this level eventually since poe 1 started with 10k dps builds and I'm expecting poe 2 builds to start off like 100k-1m dps in the endgame
Amazing content. This made me want to reach 6000 in the Affliction league.
Thanks for the great video!
What build are you planning to do for next league? Is manastacker still going to be strong?
Amazing content !
Bro you are so interesting to listen to. thanks for the video
Excellent job! Thank you!
F for the azurite spent. But it did drive a point... I was considering getting into deep delving (been only to 500-ish so far), so this drives the point a lot.
Long time kiwi walker here. Love the video. Thanks for the infos!
One related thing I'd be interested in learning about is an analysis of builds good for the ~600, ~1500, and ~6k breakpoints you talked about. It'd be neat to know, for example, what are good builds for fossil hunting at 1500 and what the max hit and DPS requirements are there.
Based off some back calculating from the dmg/hp chart for 1500 I'd recommend a max hit of around 100k+ and 50-100m dps for 1500, and about 40-50k max hit with 10m dps for regular and 20-30m dps for bosses both with some decent amount of recovery or avoidance/mobility
here for the lecture from professor connor.
taking notes.
very interesting :D
"d fi|lich|e-l|n c|al s|'s t" this regex should highlight bosses and good fossils
Its amazing seeing a master spread their craft.
Conner is going down in my book of legends ..... right next to Belton!
For ailment cap being 800mil, I would assume that its because its 1/3 of the signed int cap. It is common in programming (especially older programs) to save data space by reusing a single data variable for different values. My thinking is that when ailments and ailment thresholds were first introduced GGG had thought of bosses having different thresholds for the 3 ailment types, cold fire and lightning, and stored those different thresholds into a single variable thus they each could only go up to 1/3 of the signed int cap.
watched all, ty for the video.
my guy over here doing calculus
Awesome vid. If you have a league start guide, id be keen to put it in my list for recommended build for 3.23 that I do each league to boost your channel up. Good to see more creators putting delve content out there 😁.
Current progression is my league start as mjolner then pivot manaforged with mostly the same gear and swap weapons after I farm for a bit. Mfa is definitely a high gear requirement but mjolner progress is smooth and I'm good at it after doing it several times and it farm's currency like driving a sports car with lightning warp setup. I made a 1-90 vid like 6 month ago that should all still be up to date. Unless something massive comes in 3.23 patch notes should be relevant
Appreciate the recognition though
@@ConnerConverse awesome, I'll put it on the list. And I'll see you down there this league (got 2 weeks off to nonstop delve). We've got the boneshatter side covered with me and Mario baking up the deep delve side on that one to.
@@JorgenPOEMario's been in my chat a bit and said he did some boneshatter testing from like 6000->6300 and as expected the only real problem becomes damage. Every time Rudy had crushed with boneshatter he had large source of flat damage. Mantra of flames in lake of kalandra and then the 500% aura effect flat damage mine buff in crucible. If the league mechanic somehow gave some flat dmg scaling boneshatter can suddenly compete with armour stacker for cheaper
@@ConnerConverse my other concern could also be that we might get a nerf to boneshatter for this league because it's been the primary melee meta for a number of leagues now and I suspect after the lash back last league of the patch notes, they may retune the flat damage scaling up to max level of boneshatter or trauma at this stage. That might make going deeper harder as well.
That being said, your comment about deep delve is bang on correct I'd add, it's a matter of what the player considers as deep. I'm not known necessarily for deep delving but I've always made 500 depth the target for most average players etc who follow my builds etc and beyond that is going deep.
Really interesting stuff. Love PoE for the fact that theres always something you can try or learn about the game.
Quick question: Does the increased life in delve mean that explosions with % life of monsters are an effective way to delve deep? Ah damn. Reached the point in the video :D
Next thing im gonna play is a brandsurge wintertide brand or trickster with oath of maji and abyssal sockets + maybe energy blade and all dmg can xx tincture build because i like the idea of those. Maybe i can delve with it a little bit :) Little disappointed that sign of purpose has usually less purpose in any brand build than arcane blessing but i will try it anyway :D
Good video!
I have been playing PoE for a very long time, and this video taught me so much! See you at 1500 next league cat!
@ConnerConverse Usefull trick regarding Time-Lost Cavern.. You can use remnant of corruption, it has chance to release monster, so in that case you will have 1v1 fight, and thus easier final encounter. Added bonus is that you can get corrupted essences, from like Dread you had on your video :) EDIT: Just verified it to be 100% sure, 2 released 1 changed, 1 was already corrupted. But as i remember it had suprizingly high rate of releasing
Amazing video.
Very informative and still entertaining. Regarding profit, is it worth going into the cities and opening the chests, and does their content scale with depth?
Blue cities definitely. Other 2 kinda on the fence but I personally don't
Amazing in-depth learning content, thank you!
P.S. For a casual poe enjoyer, who earned like 50-100div this league so far - seeing 3,2m azurite deleted in 10 seconds was a real pain ))))
Thanks! amazing content for a noob as me on delve
It's like deep-sea diving including the always-present "then you're dead"-part.
I think I might league start boneshatter jugg next league to see how deep I can get in scssf, this was highly intriguing
HP cap also explains and is probably one of the reasons to separate PoE 1 and PoE 2.
Great video. We need more Conner Content
