Everyone thinks that Zhana lipsing the last note. She has to sing along with the backing vocalist to create the last vocal more powerful and epic! If you listen carefully you can hear 2 voices! 😉
@@mikestagramingIt is a technique used in old Bulgarian folk songs. If you were from Bulgaria or the Balkans, you would've known that she actually sings it. The voice is force so hard, that the sound comes out like a delay.
Totally underrated. This and Greece shocked me that they didn't do better. This group sang way better live than Netta. Hopefully they perform in 2020, and someone pick up the tab for Bosnia so they can return. Anyone know the cost of their debt?
Johnny Manuel's voice is amazing (the black guy, no disrespect intended), he got to semi-finals in AGT 2012. I usually like the Bulgarian entries and this was no exception. I hope they come back soon.
I loved the studio version - but the stage version was somewhat off for me, as if it was a bit of a let down from the studio version, so I was not surprised that it did not win, even though they were one of the favorites. But I still love listening to it.
Yes, my favourite entry from my country! After Kristian Kostov, I thought no song could beat his Beautiful Mess but OMG. I can't stop listening to this song yet. Especially the staged version with Maria as a backing vocalist. Just a masterpiece.
This was at my second place from the start. And btw, she is singing that high vocal because there is a rule that says that you can't use lipsync during the live performance. It's just a special way to sing and it's so hard because you have to breath the right way etc. In Sweden we have Swedish folk music and those notes and technique is found in that music.
3:30 She was actually singing that part. ESC rules state that there are no backing track vocals allowed meaning that she’d have to be the one singing that, otherwise they’d be liable for a penalty, aswell as the Bulgarian broadcaster..
Brilliant song, well staged. I think it is Bulgaria’s best (& they have submitted many great songs). It must be time for them to win. BTW, I think one or two of the guys are Bulgarian too.
you cannot lipsync on Eurovision. The woman was singing live EDIT; That is until 2020 it was not allowed Prior to 2020, NO prerecorded vocals in the track were allowed
@@MaxxyRainbowESC ok then. I thought they would be top 3 but obviously there was something wrong with this performance. I agree the girl just standing there half of the song wasn't good idea. Great song though... Can you do 1994 Poland reaction? That was Polish debut with that Mariah Carey lookalike 🙂
Ruby Giraffes two of the guys and two women (one is the back vocalist as in the Bulgarian traditional music) were Bulgarians! Which makes them four! Anyway, just clarifying, cheers man!
IF they had been able to translate more of that ethereal/space floating feel from the lyric video into the actual staging, and Zhana's vocals had held up better to where the others didn't have to cover for her, I definitely was looking for this to be in the top 5 (it was in my top 2-3 right up until the week of the contest). Unfortunately it just didn't come together as much as it could have to produce something truly outstanding.
It just falls flat. Behind all the effects and lights the whole act does not feel authentic and they lack chemistry with one another. However I have to say their voices blend well.
She sang half of that end note
Edit: this was my favourite in 2018 and I am still salty that they only came 14th . They deserved at least top 5
No one to notice they deserved to win
Agreed.
REAL WINNERS 🇧🇬♥️
This was so u underrated !!
This song gives me chills everytime. This was my winner last year ❤

Yes but the same vocal is at the start and her mouth doesnt move

My winners! Still love them beyond the bones
Totally the most underrated song last year, my winner 😭
Same, they were so underrated
i hope bulgaria will participate next year :(
They won't. The broadcaster is bankrupt
@@AnonTriple NOOO 😭
@Kokichi_X -A- 😢awww. Rip bulgaria
Bulgaria is back in game #2020
Well Eurovision just got cancelled 😭😭😭😭
Shi Singing with backvocalist. In bulgarian folklore this tone is make only with two voices.
This was in my top 3 last year,so industrial and modern.Vocally amazing, catchy chorus, brilliant ending!!!

The end vocal she sings half of it and the backing singer sings the other half 👍🏼

Loved it... Robbed
This is doue vocal.. Original bulgarian Singing with two or more voices.
I think the backing vocalist should have been an official part of the group.

3 Bulgarian and 2 American :)
They were my winners 💚
I love how almost all of the songs you’ve reacted to have been from semi final 1
I just realised i’ve missed watching your videos !
This felt very cast together. It was a producers project rather than a band with a message. I agree!
My winners 2018 ❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏
you cannot lipsync on Eurovision.

It wasn’t pre recorded there was someone off stage which IS allowed. How are y’all trying to argue this it’s a FACT.
Haha sorry but she’s singing this this is kind of traditional bulgarian singing
Song - 8.5/10❤️
Staging - 6/10
ALLTIME FAVORITE AFTER HATARI😍😍😍
yeah, the guy you said "I love his part" was on AGT. Great audition clip of I Have|Nothing at ruclips.net/video/OfZNeCjO3gs/видео.html
Maxxy I m sorry BUT Zhana singing with beckvocal finall note :)
The staging...
Lipsync over pre-recorded track is forbidden in Eurovision so I'm pretty sure it was her singing that part.
Sasa Gazdic there was a background singer not on stage. This is a confirmed thing.

ZHANA SINGING FINAL VOCAL! 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Remember that in Lisbon there was no technical opportunity for some effects.
