I was lucky enough to meet him at radio clyde studios in Glasgow about 8 months after this when he was promoting 'pictures at 11', he couldn't have been nicer, signing autographs and posing for photos.

It's amazing seeing Robert here. Not that long before he was this golden God who was almost mythical. He aged a lot after Zeppelin broke up but it's nice seeing the more human side of him. As if the last 12 years were a dream
Noooooooooooooo fcukin way! This is HILARIOUS. And UNBELIEVABLE!! Plant & Cozy on a kids show called Tiswas!! No fcuking waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! LoL
Beautiful old and happy times... early '80s. I love Robert Plant's first two solo albums (Pictures at Eleven and The Principle of Moments), great music.
I have a vague memory that my dad was able to hire one from Radio Rentals - or an equivalent - just for the weekend. I certainly remember having the tape and being incredibly frustrated that I couldn't actually watch the thing for some considerable time afterwards ...
That is awesome to see Robert Plant and cozy Powell on Saturday morning kids show from England . I saw cozy Powell with rainbow in 1978 but I didn't see Robert Plant and tell the page plant tour in 1998. Both Masters at their craft and cool people
Plant's first 2 solo albums were fantastic. Love this period of his music, he had a chance to expand on the Zep sound and took advantage. Phil Collins played on a few tracks as well. The songs still hold up.
Bring back Tiswas, if only to see how many of today's prima donna rock legends would be willing to get pied on live TV. Tiswas knew what they were doing when they booked Robert and Cozy, the kids in the studio wouldn't have a clue who they were but all the dads watching at home sure did.
To get to the point this is how good kids tv was before the Internet, mobile phones and political correctness. Oh and Sally James wasn't covered in fake tan with drawn on eyebrows.
Legendary telly! the cheapness! the reading-out-of-entire-addresses-ness! the impromptu-ness! the underlying Pythonesque-ness! the general atmosphere of baffledness! Sal's legs! the idiot Carson! the flans! the disobeying-of-the-'Never-Work-With-Children' showbiz motto! Thanks for uploading!

@Greg Hubbard Jason can't really even do it. Don't be silly. Jason only gives the impression he can because he tries to meticulously study his father. Jason doesn't swing like a bastard in his natural state though. Plus, Jason's fills generally are generic.

Amazing to think that "The New Yardbirds" had existed only a short 12 years before this programme was filmed.. 43 years ago!!!! Incoming existential crisis!!!
Robert Plant and Cozy Powell on a 1981 TV show. This is interesting and as a fan of both of these men's contributions to music, seeing this for the first time is weird, but appropriately English.
Proof positive that neither Cozy or Robert take themselves too seriously. Sally James was gorgeous. And yes, I know Cozy is no longer with us worse luck.
Penelope Rudd who pied Cozy and Robert, where are you now? This was the last series with Gordon Astley as a presenter after Tarrant left to start OTT. More than 40 years on and I still laugh at the craziness of it.
This really was absolute chaos. I loved it. What a time t be alive as a kid
Totally agree.
I was a kid in the 60's and early 70's and turned 20 in the early 80's 🎉🥳🍾🎈👯
Cozy Powell a superb underappreciated drummer. RIP.
Huh?! If there’s one thing Cozy Powell was not, it’s under appreciated…

A show with no ego's. Loved these times
Cozy Powell and Robert Plant are such good sports - and utter sweethearts!
No matter where you see Robert or in what capacity, it’s always clear that he is a kind and down to earth person.

He used to go in The Mitre in Stourbridge. He knocked my pint over once! Couldn't have been more appologetic and bought me another one straight away!
and the best British rock singer that ever was
Total chaos. Completely disorganised and absolutely bloody brilliant. Sally James was the reason so many adult men watched this im sure !
And so many stars agreed to join in on the madness
Two of the greatest of all time getting pies thrown in their faces! Priceless!
I'm 43 years old and still LOVE this show!
This is amazing! Cozy Powell, Robert Plant and pies! What could be better!
Gives a new meaning to Custard Pie, eh?
Could be better - Cozy with Robert on stage, but its impossible.

Gillan, The Cure, Robert Plant and Cozy Powell on Saturday morning kids' tv... I was born ten years too late.
Den Hegarty from Darts at 9:48 as well!

Someone noticed Robert's kiss to the little girl on her cheek at 6:05 ? THAT WAS SO FUCKING CUTE I CAN'T HANDLE IT
Yes, so cute.
kids had no idea how lucky they were on this day to be there with Robert and cozy.....wow
This is sooo adorable. Robert and Cozy!!!
For a teenage lad in the late 70's Sally James was it, absolutely stunning.
Loved the show to bits and always did the 'Dying Fly'. Great times.
Started of as children’s program and ended up being watched by more adults on a Saturday morning.😂😂😂😂
So true, yep, thanks to my previous husband, we often sat down in front of this show. How life changed.
Red eyed still stoned from the night before adults at that! Lol
Some of the jokes were adult to.
Can't think why . ( Sally James )
And there was the short lived night time version
beyond epic Robert Plant and Cosy Powell can't get better.
Wow,musicians with style ,charisma, intelligence and charm.
Where did they go????
Bloodclarts outbred them
Robert and Cozy are great!!
Kids who liked rock music used to watch Tiswas. Disco lovers watched Swapshop.
Finally.. Robert Plant and Cozy Powell on the same stage.. I always hoped that Cozy would join Zeppelin after the death of Bonzo
The timing was right BUT I think Led Zepplin was a blood oath, either Jimmy, Robert, Bonzo and John Paul wers Led Zepplin or there was no Led Zepplin
@@saralemirande3504 I heard they considered Barriemore Barlow.
That would have been EPIC! My two all time heroes (being a drummer)

Yeah Cozy should have played more on Plant's first album...
This was recorded on my 11th birthday. How cool.
If i ever meet Robert Plant I now know what to ask him about !
Haha that girl squeeling with excitement at the pie thing with Plant 😂
Robert Plant wearing a Cozy Powell t-shirt.
Nick Simpson Actually sad to see him like that only 1 year after LZ split up
What fun! Lucky girl, to get a kiss from Robert Plant (6:05)!
The good old days where they would read out your complete address to millions!
Crazy!
Sally James… Sigh… Still… After all these years…❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍
We lost cozy Powell way too early. Perfect balance of power and finesse behind the kit.
From today's viewpoint, this is pure surrealism.
What the fuck... but I have to say Robert's a sweetheart when it comes to kids
He us a dad and knows the pain of losing a child
I'm American and I never even thought about what British kids used to watch and watch now I just assumed we all watched the same thing this is wild😂
