I actually tried to build this a while back, it didn’t work properly when adjusted for US plywood sizing. But it’s still a RAD prop! Do wish he would come back.

How did you make it cycle with such underpowered bands is to me the greatest mystery of the 21. century. Made a gun with a similar design, and it is quite finicky, wouldn't eat anything lighter than well stretched size 16s. I'm guessing it's the precision and lots of trial and error. Great job!

Thank you so much for making your gun plans available. Constructing your AK-47 has helped to make covid isolation more bearable. I have one problem. When I depress the side lever to set the gun for firing, instead of one rubber band moving to the staging lever, three to five jump forward. What would you suggest to solve the problem?

Did you fix this?
I'd imagine it's to do with too much clearance between the + wheel, and the block below the + wheel.
The system is supposed to only allow the + to spin a quarter turn each time the block moves, but will allow more spins if it isn't aligned correctly or has too much room.
(the other thing it could perhaps be is the internal rubber bands not being tight enough respective to one another? You might try slightly tighter or looser bands inside)
I'd love to hear whether you fixed this.

Most rubber band guns can hold around 16 rubber bands. But it the number can change depending on the size and thickness
I hope you will make other guns in the future ^_^
