I’ve been conditioned by Brad to cringe whenever anyone washes their hair, puts coconut oil in first, or tries to scrub in bleach, because BLEACH DOES NOT LATHER.
I can hear him yelling in my head whenever I see someone do one of the cardinal sins

My stylist made me promise in 2020 that I won’t bleach or dye my hair at home. The more Brad videos I see, the more I believe she was right.
My stylist taught my husband how to apply bleach to my roots over FaceTime so we could do it. We didn’t spend all that time getting platinum to let it go
Lol same for me last year and this year. I overlapped my bleach when I was doing my roots... and snapped off alot of hair at the crown and around my face. I have to style it every day to hide that. I'm only allowed to have her shadow my roots until it grows out lol.

Sounds like she wants more money from clients,, to me (just my opinion and experience). My stylist specializes in color (and I love letting her have fun with my hair colors). She always tells me, or gives me, the dye that’s most likely to fade the quickest. That way I can separate those pieces and touch up the color (still pay $100+ for her service every 6-8 weeks).

Good luck getting rid of the blue 😂 no but really it might be easy especially if you see a professional stylist. Last year I wasn't able to bleach blue out of my hair so I ended up dyeing it dark brown

I watched Brad for two years until dying my hair purple at home. Gathered information and did to so well, my stylist was like “OMG who did your hair?! It’s amazing!”

I have natural grey hair. It was SO HARD to stop coloring. I LOL when I see these kids going grey; don't jump the gun ya'll, you'll get there.

I've actually mostly accomplished this. I've been box black for years and then decided to hop on the silver train. Of course it bleached out pretty brassy but I used a lavender/blue tinted silver and it came out a very pretty lilac colour which faded to silver after a couple of weeks. Two months later I went back to black. 😅

I think the idea behind the coconut oil is like putting vaseline on your scalp and the top of your ears to prevent/reduce burning when putting on relaxer or perm.
I don't think so. The erroneous theory is that the coconut oil minimizes the damage to the hair lengths and ends. And it's rubbish, anyway. Be nice if it were that easy!
Out of all the people on RUclips, you're honestly one of the most genuine, down to earth creators. It's nice to see someone so successful on both RUclips and in your own personal endeavors not let the money inflate their ego. You don't see too many truly humble people these days - such a breathe of fresh air.

Brad has saved my hair with these videos. Thanks to him, I’ve been able to bleach my hair at home and color it blue. Something I probably would’ve botched instantly had it not been for the advice and instructions he gives in these bleach fail videos. Brad is educating the masses.
Brad not measuring was giving me Mexican grandma who doesn't measure when she cooks yet everything is consistently always good 😅 Then someone who relies on measurements asks for the recipe and all they get is "it just has to look like this after you mix it"

Hey Brad, you should make full videos where people send in a picture of themselves and you tell us what hairstyle would look great on us. I always feel like a mop and am known as the girl with big hair. I like curls, but would love to hear from a professional which hairstyle would look best on me. I’ve stopped measuring my ratios for bleach and I’m glad a professional has said that too. I feel like my hair reacts better with just a hint more developer than what it calls for.

I think he's just not that into the colour on a personal level. But since it's a very popular colour, it's still a smart business move to offer it. That being said, yes to the video-suggestion!

Oh man I with you on the consistency and measuring thing. I just do that with cooking and baking sometimes. The ability to eyeball stuff is a skill and I typically feel very concerned for the people who don't have it.

I am SO happy to hear you say that you shouldn’t bleach wet hair! I am not a hair stylist. But I had a hair stylist do this to me years and years ago. She bleached my hair. Rinsed it out. Did another round of bleach on my wet hair. Then after rinsing that out put dye on my wet hair as well.
I wasn’t sure if that was normal. I had never had a hair stylist put bleach or dye on my wet hair before. And when I say my hair was FRIED, is putting it mildly. It was completely destroyed for like a year and a half. It would take me two hours just brush it after all that.
I finally got fed up and chopped it all off. It’s grown out now and a lot healthier. No more bleach or dye for me.

I was one of those girls who thought I could get silver hair from my thick, black hair 😭
You need to have a certain level of blonde, tone it & then apply the color. I went to a salon 3 times and they simply couldn’t strip the color in my hair enough.
If you have thick, black hair:
I recommend not considering silver hair until you get older and loose the color naturally.

I love when Brad and Hair Buddha inform people that coconut oil doesn't do SHIT protecting your hair when bleaching it.
Just started the vid but I'm sure this is going to be a nice little reminder not to do anything drastic as I'm sitting here with freshly bleached hair that needs one more round.... I managed to catch the covids and now that I'm feeling better but still isolating, I thought I'd use this time to finally re-blonde/silver myself with plenty of time to take it slow between bleaches and toning and all.... but I sure hate the yellow phase!

Almost first😄 All these videos teach me is that I should leave dyeing my hair to the professionals. It comes out gorgeous every time, and I don't worry that my hair will fall out.
If you are a professional MEASURE YOUR LIGHTENER, and follow the manufacturer instructions. Why? If not your insurance won’t cover your if something goes wrong with your client’s hair.
Also, you're not wasting product if you know how much product to use on returning clients 🙂

I’m in my 40s and completely silver now. I’d love to see some videos of natural gray hair with toners and maybe some fun XMondo colors.
It took 2.5 years to grow it out. I don’t missing having to get my roots done every three weeks!

I’m always scrolling for more videos to watch from Brad, I thought this was a old video I missed but realize this was just an hour ago. The excitement is real. 🤣🤣🤣
The first one didn't put enough lightener on. You can clearly see her hair color through it. I'm not a stylist and can barely do anything with my own hair. Though every time we see people with spotty hair, it's always after they apply the beach and we can still see what their hair color looks like through or in between the bleach.
