lol nope! I sent you my braider and good friend. If you start at 9am, you’ll be done by 3pm MAX! She’s fast, provides snacks and drinks plus educates you on proper hair care. Also you don’t have to bring hair, she provides it.

I really think you should provide the Braider feedback. So often we have bad experiences and don’t say anything. People can only get better with the information. If no one says something it passes as acceptable. It can be hard to find the words and it may be hard to receive on the other end but it’s necessary

No but really, your hair is fire. I think the braider is like that because no one has ever challenged her. If it were me, I would definitely text her suggestions on how to be more professional. Because we as a people can actually learn a lot from each other if we just accept constructive criticism. Hey Jess! Would it make sense to move the couch part on the long wall and have the chaise on the right side (opposite of patio door) like you had it when you first unboxed? So essentially the sofa is facing the kitchen and not the tv, but it seems like it might fit your space better. Maybe even add the ottoman to the left side of the couch to create a u- shaped sectional look. That way you’d have access to your entire patio door? 22:25

To get rid of the edge control residue, smooth it out with a wet, warm towel. Then seal it with the oil again. I think the couch will look so cute on the long walk and still allows your living room to look open.
The couch is beautiful and allows you to grow with it; perhaps your next home will be an ideal space for the furniture. Suggestion: purchase clear and backless barstools to seamlessly fit under the counter top.

Love the revised braids. You gave them life! As a viewer, vlogmas can be overwhelming and then everything kinda goes quiet in January. So if I can’t watch in December, the boredom of the RUclips streets in January will have me watching.

Hi Jess! Hopefully this makes sense, but have you ever considered switching your living room and dining room? Like move the TV and couch and stuff to the other side of the kitchen and then move the dining table to the island side of your kitchen?
YES! we have considered that as well and thats also how some of the other homes in our neighborhood have their layout but we love the kitchen being on the side of the living room.
You can move the couch a few feet forward and place console table behind the couch and place plants along the patio door space 🤔
I just did this style today and I started 9:15am finished about 2:30pm without the bohemian 😂😂I would’ve left the chair sorry 12hours hell na

This is a horrible take, lol. As a community, we need to start holding each other to a higher standard, especially those that are in customer service. It’s been a week, but I hope Jess went ahead and texted that girl, because this was unacceptable.
I know your pain. I went to a braider for a total of 3 times. She was about 15 to 20 minutes late two of those three times. Its crazy how they want to charge or cancel you if you are late but they do not give you a discount if they are late! These braiders are so disrespectful. Not to mention, after paying money and waiting on her, I had to go home and braid the hair all the way down, re dip it and fix whatever needed fixing. After my last hair appontment, I have not returned!! But your hair turned out great!!💛

I usually sit under a hair dryer (abs hand dryer sirens too) to melt the edge control into more of an oil to eliminate the white residue
I will say, My Sister has always been the type to tell the hair stylist no, not to take a break. I've even seen her stay on the chair until she gets her hair fixed, if it's not to her liking. Whereas I am more of a DIY girl, I rather just do it myself because I know how I want it and if it doest come out right, I can't be mad at anyone, I just learn a new skill. I've had too many hairstyles not come out right, I'd rather save the money, because it never actually works when I try to save time.

I tend to do this. I just don’t return, and if anyone compliments my hair I am honest and tell them I don’t recommend the stylist due to unprofessional service.

I have the same issue with the edge control, immediately white and build-up that same week. I end up taking my braids out earlier because theres so much build-up. Your lucky your a hair guru and know how to fix it yourself lol.
Same! I’ve had knotless one time, and they were so cute on me…but I’m nervous about fighting build up. Them thangs cost too much and take too long to not get a good amount of time out of them.

Jess I love the couch, switch up your room orientation, put the back of the couch towards the kitchen and put your TV on the wall and add a chair or lounge in that space to the left...just a suggestion 😊
I did my own and my sister's boho braids with more boho in 15hrs 😂 and they were smaller squares and longer. She took wayyyyy too long!
Ross has great art pieces that are EASY on the pocket, and there is always a big selection of art celebrating the beauty of Black women. I would walk out of there with several pieces every single time I go in there, if I had places to put them.

Don’t tell anybody lol.. but the trick is with the ads, press the 🔼 button on your remote select the ℹ️ icon (About this ad) click stop seeing this ad then the option “return to video”; that will skip ALLLLL that. No need to wait to skip or anything. I have noticed however if you do it too many times like 30-50 at a go you won’t have the same option for the next 10 ads but it’s well worth it!
Love the vlog. The braider mmmm I'll probably keep my feedback to myself. She might get mad and lash out. Now the couch is so cute with the rug. I would put the couch along the wall until you get the left side piece. Instead of curtains, sliding vertical blinds would be nice. I'm glad you finally got sunlight in your living area. I lived in a place that had no sunlight in the living room and kitchen. I was so depressed the whole time living there. Now my place has so much sunlight and I'm so happy now. Lesson learned.

Jess I know I am late watching as I have been so busy, you know what this time of the year brings. So my opinion on the couch is placing the back along the wall and place the chaise on the side away from the sliding doors. Don't know if it's left or right as you know with the camera your right and left is different through the lens. The chaise may be sticking out in the middle of the room....not sure how much space you have there. I have a similar chair and placing the chaise is a "situation", Lol.
To get rid of the white residue from the edge control try smoothing it out with a wet towel. Not rubbing it extremely hard might make it frizzy.
It's terrible you had to fix it but it looks so much better. You go girl!!

I love the way the couch is and you should keep it but get the ottoman. Also art pieces can be at target , Ross, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx. If you find one painting at Ross usually Marshalls or TJ maxx with have the pair and vice versa. I think it goes the same for home sense but not sure

For those types of styles I'm going to the Africans where they're gonna put atleast 2 ppl on my head and they always pick the right edge control it seems lol. Esp because I have like type 4CCC hair 😂 I did a style with crochet and hair left out like you did and them lil strings got on my nerves esp because i went to P.R. and it got wet and tangly. I love how you fixed it too! Also, i love the couch, I do think that one crunched area is gonna eventually bother u lol. I was trying to see the rest of the space to see why it can't go against the long wall instead. I wish I could draw how I would suggest changing it lol. I wanna say put the piece with the ottoman against the long wall and then the rest of the couch along where the patio door is? It won't block the island chairs so much. I think u should put the bigger part of furniture against the wall. And the other piece goes at the end. Therfore, if you stand on the side facing your patio window. It should like the letter (L) ❤
I considered that but then that tail of the L will be sitting right in front of the tv and I don’t think that looks great either lol
