    One of the best things I did for my sps tank. You can literally see the corals growing each day

    Can confirm! My CO2 scrubber I ordered from you guys has been doing AWESOME! My numbers have been so stable and I’ve not been seeing those huge nightly dips. Thanks so much BRS! ❤️

    Got excited and thought this was a BRS Skimmer with a recirculating device and optional PH monitor solenoid. Be awesome if something like that was produced so we wouldn’t have to mcgyver and trouble shoot and modify

    I have a tank in a brewery and the co2 scrubber is a must.

  • @theoalex474

    This does work for sure. It works even better if you use it as a recirculating co2 scrubber and the media will last even longer.

    Do I only add 1 tbsp of RODI every time I replace the media, or do I add more water when i notice that the water is dried up before it's time to change the media?

    What does the rodi do in the cannister?

    • @ThomasBReef
      @ThomasBReef 2 года назад +1

      The media works best in humid air, so it just makes sure there is some humidity.

    is it correct one end of the hose goes into the outlet on the scrubber and the inlet is not connected?

    • @BulkReefSupply
      @BulkReefSupply  2 года назад

      You'll be drawing ambient air into the scrubber on one end. Then, the other end will attach to your skimmer, usually directly to the venturi.

      @@BulkReefSupply Hi, I understand that part, I recently purchased the BRS scrubber and there is an out and in.. I assumed the "out" is the piece connects to the skimmer? can you please advise?

  • @MrDon967

    do they make a media that can get water thru it that absorbs carbon dioxide?

    • @BulkReefSupply
      @BulkReefSupply  2 года назад +1

      Not that I'm aware of. The CO2 scrubbing media here works best with humid air, but not with water as the little pellets will just dissolve and cause issues in the tank.

    FishOfHex Aquatics also has some great videos on creating a setup like this.

    Why do you put the water in the bottom of the scrubber?

    • @BulkReefSupply
      @BulkReefSupply  2 года назад

      The media works much more efficiently when there is humid air flowing through the media.

    The equipment you need for a coral tank is so absurd and overwhelming that I want to sell my crap, quit the hobby, and spend my money elsewhere. Heh
    You need a drilled tank with sump, refugium, CO2 scrubber, protein skimmer, ATO, etc etc etc on top of your RODI system and lighting, etc etc. Auto dosers, auto feeders, auto autors.
    I love fish but it's so expensive and overwhelming at times. Every time you learn something you find out you need a new piece of equipment.
    That said... Love this channel for all the learning.
    Cost and complexity of systems was the exact reason I told my ex-girlfriend I wanted to stick with freshwater.

      It's only complicated if you make it complicated. So many epic all-in-one style tanks out there running minimal filtration with weekly water changes! Picking the right setup to match your goals and lifestyle is key.

      This gadget is pretty cool but you don't need it. A walkout craked window with an air pump in front is just fine or air pump in the attic. Don't have to have a sump don't have to have a skimmer either depends on your situation. Also watch out for expensive lighting it's neat but again it can be very overrated. You should give it a try it's fun.
