It looks a lot like he's hearing something that he can't quite make out. Much love to this lovely fellow, he's an absolute gem to watch ❤
What a peaceful walk through grasslands with a handsome, curious, and loyal dog.
Looked like such a nice day!
I bet Sherpa will tell Key all about that horse.
Shorts on again today haha
All of us look forward to seeing you and K'eyush walking in the country one day as well! It was a perfect day there on the Moors. We have had some glorious days here in Ontario Canada as well.
I just finished watching your newest video on Key's bed! 😁 I love that your doggos are best friends in real life ♡
sister sarah will have a field day with "daaad are you running from horses again?"
TUMERIC for pain..I'm so sorry..I've had several rescue dogs..with the love can't avoid the pain..but SHERP is so lucky to be so loved..bless him
Life would be so dull without sherpa and keyush ❤️🥕

@@lunagrace8717 And gelatinpowder is necessary for humans. Know someone with bone and senew problems, those problems eased after starting with gelatin. Important with pure real butter from milk for the brain. Guess it could be worth a try for some weeks, a little everyday. Hope Sherpa is getting better.
Definitely True! They’re Both The Best & Both my Favorite!!! Very Special boys!
@@lunagrace8717 Great mention and suggestion about the content of the treats plus cooking

keywho?
I know Sherpa is in the best hands with you Jamie cause I’ve never seen a man who loves his dog more than anything else. We all love you two and wish you nothing but the best always.
I think everywhere he goes, Sherpa is stronger with u by his side.
I think he is no longer worry about the horses. Just don't forget to bring the new umbrella :)
Aw I hope so 😊
It honestly looks like a partial seizure, sometimes called an absence seizure (compared to a generalized or tonic-clonic seizure with the shakes). When it happens in people, we'll seem to be "zoned out" but will sometimes walk and talk but in ways that don't quite make sense. We'll do familiar, repetitive motions, stuff that's in "muscle memory" while parts of the brain are having the abnormal activity. Just make sure he gets plenty of water, dehydration is hard on the brain! If he had opposable thumbs you might make sure doors were locked so that he wouldn't wander too far.
That definitely makes sense yes
I second this. My collie was diagnosed with these. He had 1 or 2 a year and lived to a ripe old age.
My dogs had seizures somewhat like that, but were a little more disabled, but they often started like that- an awkward posture and stiff walk, then they would have to lie down. But they lived to old ages, just give him lots of rest time after.
My 12 year old cat does this, and i think he was dehydrated.. seems a lot better now
i agree with this. had a husband and dog that had them.
Sherpas smarter than most people I know
Definitely 😊
Around here, that's a pretty low bar🙄!
Rest in peace, you sweet angel, Sherpa. Jamie, thank you for sharing him with us and allowing us little glimpses of heaven like this: 9:46 - moments like this is why I'm here (again).
Love the fact you open the video talking about his limp and Sherpa just sprints across the grass 😂. Oh and massive congrats on hitting 400k, you truly both deserve it 💙💪
Hahaha typical 🤣
@@SherpasDay y’all got Ring doorbell and house camera
When I was little we had a border collie and she started to have strange moments like that when she had low blood sugar (called a hypo) as she had diabetes. She’d blink quite quickly and for a while she wouldn’t know where she was, almost like she was confused. It usually meant we had to give her some honey, and then she’d usually go to sleep and wake up fine.
I wonder if sherpas is lack of chicken balls 🤨

@@SherpasDay I know from so many videos I've watched they bring him such joy, he really is such an awesome dog and is hilarious,
That's a really good point about the low blood sugar because Sherpa was put on a diet!!! DEFINITELY a possibility.
At the bit it looks like he’s sleep walking. Poor old boy. He’s such a sweetie baby!
I agree about sleepwalking. He is a sweet, smart boy.
Batdog only wishes he were as handsome as Lord Sherpa. 😎😁
The Garages shouldn’t be charging you all of these costs because they couldn’t get organised!
I was wandering about that if the garage broke something off your van aren't they responsible for fixing at their own expense it was their fault. Jamie shouldn't have to foot the bill for their mistake and incompetence.
@@Theresabrown1805 Jamie did say it was possible that the part may have broken anyway, but he shouldn’t have to foot the bill for their incompetence in getting it fixed and the extra shipping costs.
True. They broke something that's on them.
I know that's what I thought
The garage that broke it should be picking up the tab for any and all transport for the van, the new part and any labor costs.
The original garage should pay all costs for shipping and repairing their foul up. You should only pay for the original work to be done.
+1
I’ll second that. It’s really bad form.
ok im just curious (im from USA) what is a glow plug?

Jamie, Sherpa's "funny turn" could be some sort of mild form of Canine Idiopathic Epilepsy. If your Vet has already ruled that out, then maybe it's some kind of sleep paralysis. Neither one seems something to be overly concerned about. You do an excellent job of taking care of our dearest friend and internet star! If his episodes increase in frequency or time, then I would let your Vet know. In the meantime, just keep documenting as you do because that's invaluable information for Sherpa's Vet. Could you give him a "hi-five" for me and some extra pets?
It's not sleep paralysis. The operative word there being paralysis. I've had it, Sherpa certainly doesn't seem terrified. But it could be sleep walking. I think partial seizure is more likely and not anything to worry about right now.
@@adde9506 Yes, I could see it being sleepwalking.
My son- in- law does this all the time absent seizures
I thought it sounded like a bit of an absence- mild form of epilepsy too- worth getting it checked out but as with humans diagnosis can be difficult with the frequency being about one a year as you mentioned.
Poor old fellow. I know he's getting the best care.
jaime, why are you having to pay even 1 pound. THEY BROKE THE VAN.
I was thinking the same, how can Jamie be responsible for the cost , he never broke it, they are liable
@@CP-tq3hu because cp they know jaime is a good guy who wont make a fuss.
My son is a mechanic and he said the company would be ordering the parts before they even tell the customer, they would be busting a gut to fix it, because it there business at stake
Our dog had epilepsy Terrible & very frightning But lived to be very old
Thank Vet there are medicines for that🙏
In my long lifetime, I have had 3 epileptic dogs and none of them exhibited like sherpa. I think it is more likely be is responding to something outside that you cannot hear. He spaced out appearance is because he is searching his brain to work out what is what. Talk to yourvet. If they not worried ,then just keep an eye on him
It's not epilepsy, it's called an absence seizure...our Labrador had them as she got older...never lasted long and she didn't seem bothered...she lived to be 14.
This looks like an absence seizure. People can have them, too. You just stop suddenly, like a pause, but it's a seizure.
Yes, I know exactly what your talking about I suffer from them
Make sure batdog is on standby for backup just in case those bad horses show up 😊 we have your back from the U.S. Sherpa and Jamie

Hopefully you will get your van back soon. 🚐🚐🚐🚐🚐🚐
Jamie whispering and sneaking around to avoid the cows and horses🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's such an awesome feeling, isn't it? When he starts to do something and *immediately* listens when you ask him to. It makes me so proud when my GSD does that! I'm such a pansy when it comes to dogs though. I know he is getting up there and my eyes start to water when I see him sometimes, and I don't even know him. My girl is about seven and I make sure to cuddle her and tell her how much I love her every day. She is my life.
Sherpa looks like an old wise soul that teaches us all something valuable. I’m hoping he recovers from whatever it is that may be bugging him. He’s a strong husky. 👍
It may be sleep walking. Your dog is quite an active dreamer.
Sherpa's momentary loss of concentration might be that he hears or senses something odd and is trying to figure it out. He doesn't seem to be in any pain. Have you mentioned it to your vet? I wouldn't be terribly coccerned. Just keep watch like you always do.
He is hearing something outside and feel a bit scared. Is it something paranormal?
It happen with his friends Keyush... Barking on the corner of his bedroom
I doubt it , you may be right but normally once they get to where they heard something they would look around and be more active , you can see I the video he would stop still head didn’t move and I’m sure you can see his legs looking unsteady , maybe I’m wrong but it looks that way to me me. Tbh I reckon he’s having seizures
I think he is seeing or feeling ghosts!! Very cute.

I hope Sherpa doesn’t have seizures or epilepsy. He is so precious. Love that wagging tail and that handsome face. Glad you didn’t encounter the horses again. Congratulations on 400k subscribers🎉💕💙😍.
Thankyou 💙
Could Sherpa's 2AM bit be related to:
1) Discomfort or pain that wakened him, and he was trying to get comfortable, "walking it off"
2) Some creature in the garden that he wanted to investigate, getting closer to the door to hear/smell
Almost looks like early hip dysplasia, common in overly bred wolf dogs, Huskies, and German Shepherds
@@richardscathouse early hip dysplasia? Sherpa is ten years old, that's hardly the age for early hip displaysia!
@@NutsAboutHarry I've lost three German Shepherds do it, it's horrible!

It would freak me out, I would think that Sherpa can see ghosts that sure as heck would spook me.
Sherpa is such a good boy. Going back to the moors like that was amazing. His "weird turn" reminds me of the stories of the way I started acting before I started having seizures. I ran a red light that I don't even remember going to the intersection. I was taken to the hospital because I was found passed out in my yard when I was about to go to work. A few months later I had my first observed Grand Mal seizure. I don't know what happened with these episodes and neither do any doctors. Just something to think about.
I love how he understands your every word. "Horse is coming." (Sherpa - "I'm outta here!") 🤣
you should give the horse one of your pancakes that will scare him.
Hahaha you cheeky s*d 😂😂
Good one😂😂😂

@@SherpasDay hahaha 😂
Sherpa is so funny. And ADORABLE!
I'm curious as to why you would be responsible for the shipping charges. The broken part was the fault of the mechanics. Then they sent it to another garage without apparently researching the necessary prep on their part. It would seem the initial garage should be shouldering these costs. 🤷🏿♀️

I used to think life was fair too. I am repeatedly disappointed more and more. ✌️❤️😄
I totally agree. This makes no sense...
@@candywarmuth2455 Growing up is a bitch and a half ❤️

I wish to had an area like that for my girls. Sherpa is very lucky to have it. 👍❤️🐕🐾🐾

I have no answer for Sherpas 2am weirdness, but I'd like to think it's Uncle Brian coming to see him.
It appears Sherpa heard a strange sound and is trying to find out what it is. He might by trying to fall asleep again afterwards.
My beautiful Sherpa, I pray you get better real soon. I love you with all my heart and hate that you haven't been well. You and your dad will be in my thoughts and prayers. All my love forever and ever, Anna ❤
Sherpas episode looks like human absentee epilepsy, not sure if animals have the equivalent.
I knew a dog who suffered from seizures and that was my first thought when I saw the clips of Sherpa. It does look like some type of seizure.
That was my first thought too and then sleepwalking.
It legit looks like sleep walking to me
It also sounds just like "trancing". Something English Bull terriers are known for??
Yes, dogs can have seizure disorders, which is what I thought when Jamie described the incidents. Not all seizures involve muscle spasms. Depends on what part of the brain the disorder is located in.
Adorable, brave, lovely Sherpa. ❤️
He braved his fears, so proud of Lord Sherpa
Its great you two went back to the scene of the Scare. Get it out of the way, Sherp seemed fine! Regarding that episode, I'm almost sure those are absence seizures. If he only gets one a year it is nothing to investigate further. The only time it would be an emergency is if he keeps having them over and over in a day. Or if he gets them more frequent you might want to investigate further. Or if it starts like this but developes further into shaking and such then it needs attention.. If he had these from little it rules out doggy memory issues, since he is 12. But he is too active for that issue yet. You guys are the best!!!
made me scared for sherpa seeing him like that in the cctv. 😞 and the final high five for uncle brian tears me up. rest in peace uncle brian thank you for all your love and generosity for sherpa. may god bless your soul anr your loved ones that are left behind. 😢💔🙏

Old male dogs may need to pee in the middle of the night. Don't want to point you off in the wrong direction, but an enlarged prostate can be a problem for the old guys. Love from old Big boy, who woke me up by barking (he almost never barks) when the fire trucks came last night to put out a small fire out back of our apartments. Alot of people awakened at 3 a.m. for an hour! Thank God not too serious. Best to you and Sherpa, from Jean, Cali and Big boy.

Sounds like Sherpa has occasional petite mal seizures..can present in humans as disoriented, confused for a minute or two, no convulsions.
I have never seen the moors.
The views were extremely interesting. As you talked about the horses I kept thinking about bears and moose ! Jeez! What a time you had.
Sherpa looks like he is having a mini stroke. I was reminded of my old coon hound "Daisy Duke" who passed st 10 years old. Getting old is tough. Bless you both for sharing your time. 💜
Awww, the treat in the morning to make him feel better is the sweetest thing ever 🥺
Sure was a good day on the moors this time. Sorry that the horse decided to be anti social. Sorry to hear about Uncle Brian. Our condolences to you! Hope Sherpa will remain happy, loud and proud! Thanks for sharing Jamie! Stay safe mates!😊💖😷
I think the guilty horse found out that it was the famous Lord Sherpa who he attacked... and he is now on the run.
Hey Jamie. Glad you have your moors back, Sherpa. Love you guys.
Boy this video sure got my heart pumping, its obviously more stressful for you as you are worried about protecting Sherpa and not just looking after yourself, you do seem prepared though and it was so kind of Batdog to lend you his spare cape just incase. I think I heard he was going to have a word with those horses after last week so hopefully they will stay away. I love seeing Sherp becoming the Sherpagator at every opportunity, you didn't fancy a paddle too? Hi-5 to Uncle Brian from me too, you will be missed. Take care
Haha thanks Susan 😊
I had a dog some years back that did the same thing and was found to be epileptic. Its so frightening when you see them so out of it as mine was, but if Sherpa only has them once a year that's a blessing. Love him more than Batdog!
He's such a sweet resilient boy, he's not going to let those horses ruin HIS moors. I understand about not wanting to give him too many pills, I feel the same about that with my boy. 💙🐕
Maybe Sherpa is seeing & hearing ghosts. I had a dog once that would start gazing at the ceiling for 2-3 minutes. Whatever it was it had his full attention. These episodes occurred 3-4 times a year. He lived to be 16 years old & developed a little arthritis in his back legs but other wise active & happy. He was like the energizer bunny...lol Much Love from America ♡♡
Aww 🥰 Glad to hear that Sherpa is ok ❤️
Bless his heart he does seem to be not his self that is so sad.
I’m laughing watching you both walking through the pasture and watching the animals 😂. Much love to both of you 🤗🤗
Have you seen Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade? There is a scene where Indy’s dad scares a flock of birds with his umbrella, I’m picturing you like that towards the horse.
I use that scene as my main argument for carrying my bumbershoot.
@@celiashen5490 always be prepared!
When I walked my Aunty Ann's 3 English Staffordshire Terries in Epping Forest i used to always carry apples and carrots in my pocket just incase we saw a horse or pony....I give dogs, their treats and the horses their treats and that always kept the peace. Mind you this was in early 80's. Now I am just fan in Oakland, California. 🖤😎🖤
I don't think much of the second time. I think he was standing there wondering how to amuse himself. He didn't seem to be staring off into space. I foster for the SPCA. I had a kitten that had epileptic seizures. This looks nothing like that thankfully ❤️
The same thing happens to my Golden Retriever. It last about 30 seconds and our vet told us it's because Golden's are very popular and over breed in the US. She got her first episode when she was about 4 months old. But she hasn't had another episode since 2015. She has a small bump on her head as she and her siblings were rescue from a collapsed barn during Hurricane Katrina. A piece of wood knocked on top of her head when rescuer arrived and she was pretty traumatized by that event. She just turned sweet 16 and she's growing into a very happy and healthy dog.
Jamie to me it looks like Sherpa is having a form of absentee epileptic seizures. He is reacting almost the same as humans do. My last husky had the same thing happen and that is what the diagnosis was. It could be something to ask the vet about.
Thank you for the visits to various moors, towns, castles. It brightens my day and allows me to join you in my mind as walking is extremely difficult for me these days.
Thank you also for brightening my days. Stay safe during this uncertain time

Two easy additions for the diet are coconut oil (supports neurons in brain) and turmeric (brain, liver and arthritis support). These are safe for both humans and dogs.
It sounds a little weird but they have acupuncture for animals. But I don't know if they do that in UK or if Sherpa would like it.
Doesn't sound weird at all. Not one bit💛
Sherpa is my favorite online canine. I fell hard in love with his sweet face, his intelligence, personality and adventures. I pray he is fine and has lots of happy, playful years left. I had a blue heeler aussie shepherd mix. He got hit by a car and we had to amputate his left front leg. He developed arthritis and was on meds for many years. Just before he passed he would go into blank phases. I was as if he was elsewhere. He died August 2019, one of the hardest days of my life. He was 13. I still miss him every day. His sister, a little maltipoo, was mourning him for weeks. Take good care of our Sherpa. He is loved by so many. ❤️🥰😘
