Zabbix Agent2

Zabbix Agent2 is a drop-in replacement for an old Zabbix agent. The old one is still for the stay, but the new agent provides very wide functionality and possibilities to develop out of the box plugins for extended monitoring. Agent2 is written in Go language and supports custom plugins that you can write as per your needs and tasks.

Just what I needed. The Zabbix site has a table of differences between the two, which shows the regular agent better in some areas and the agent2 in others. This video brings the context necessary that agent2 is where people want to go, and GO. I thought "Oh no, another lame web language. I went to "Learn GO in 12 minutes". You don't learn GO in 12 minutes but it is a perfect overview of how the language and I can see why they chose it.
Question: What did you mean when you said, "...still, I think it is not really straightforward "?

Hi, great video i just have a question. I have the latest zabbix installed and up on running. I have several target linux machines that I want to run agent2 on but these machines are in a production environment with some custom software so we dont really install much from packages. I have manged to install go from source and tried to install agent2 from source on 2 machines but I run into errors of either libary or something else missing. Is there any easy way you could suggest to get the agent2 installed on these machines? I was reading up on the docker but not sure if that could work in my situation as i dont yet fully understand it. Is it possible to install docker with agent2 on the target machines and the zabbix server(no docker, installed from source) still connect to it as normal?

I am not able to install the Zabbix agent 5 on my windows machines , i am getting below error .
I have installed old agent zabbix 4.4 earlier 1 year back now i am not able to install new agent on them.
Please help me to fix this issue.
I am not able to install manually neither SCCM.

I'm using zabbix_agent2 on compute nodes that are set to connect to the proxy inside the compute-network. From the main zabbix server I can see i get data from the compute node via the proxy but the dashboard indicator (where snmp, zabbix, etc green lights are) shows no green light over ZBX. It also shows that my agent is down.
Any ideas?
