I think people are forgetting that up to UCN was it's own "chapter" and after it is a new one. A chapter which is in the same universe as the first 7 games, but doesn't rely on them for storytelling. HW, SD, SB, and now Ruin are all telling a new story which has nothing to do with the Afton's
