All aboard the Borderlands 3 hype train! I hope you guys enjoy these Easter eggs and don't forget to head over the Garbetts channel and check out his videos!
I just gotta correct you on something, the pre sequel is not a prequel to the other games, it's a sequel to borderlands and a prequel to borderlands 2, that wasn't a young destroyer it was a tiny clone
The second to last (Big Daddy) reference is actually 2 references in one. Tannis having a fish body is a reference to a Sega Dreamcast game called Seaman.
It was actually 3 references in one. She throws back to the robolution dlc from the first borderlands game when she says "and it's not collecting robot parts". Those missions were annoying as hell because it was all one big fetch quest.
You missed a few. -The "Ack-Ack" is a legendary Oz Kit that references Space Balls with a text that reads "I said shoot across thier nose, not up it!" -The ZX-1 references the ZF-1 from The Fifth Element, in that if you hit an enemy with the first shot fired from the clip, all the rest of the shots will home in on that enemy, much the same as the gun works in the movie. It's actually an exceptionally devastating Fire weapon. - An early quest in the game, should you side with Janey instead of Torgue, results in a laser weapon decorated like the United States flag called the Firestarta. This is a refrence to Firestarter by The Prodigy. - Zarpedon's Cyber Eagle has the text "I feel like I'm going to break this damn thing", a reference to the Noisy Cricket from Men In Black. - The Ice Scream grenade references Game of Thrones with the text "Winter is Numbing". - The text for the Asteroid Belt shield references Starship Troopers with "Straight from the bug homeworld." - The Moonlight Saga legendary Oz Kit makes the character sparkle like Edward the Vampire from The Twilight Saga. - The Cry Baby from the Holodome DLC references The Binding of Isaac, with every variation of the gun shooting tear-shaped bullets. - One Stingray skin is called "Goblin", which turns the Stingray a bright green. A reference to the Green Goblin from Spiderman. - One of the drinks you can buy in Moxxi's bar is the Gargle Blaster from Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. - One of the quests from Steve Irwin stand-in Sterwin, is to use a Pokeball-shaped grenade mod to capture certain types of Eridian Guardians. Plenty of others as well, mostly through quests and dialogue.
In Spring's place you can find an Echo of one of the novels she's working on which is a reference to the Avatar : The Last Airbender intro, comparing the bandits to the earth, water and airbenders, Dahl to the Fire Nation and the Vault Hunter to the Avatar.
The pre-sequel came out after 2 but is set before 2 hence prequel. It also takes place after 1 so its a sequel. The Mini Destroyer was a failed clone they made.
One easter egg I didnt know about was the E.T. one so thanks for that one, also one easter egg I thought you were going to mention because you started talking about missions was the Pokemon easter egg.
The Goat Simulator sword may be more a reference to the Master Sword rather than Excalibur; given the triangles on the pedestal and the pedestal being in what looks there like a forest; but I'm not sure. Might be both.
This is only a prequel to borderlands 2. Its a sequel to borderlands 1. They eye of the destroyer killed in the first game powers the helios laser in this game. The mini destroyer is a clone. Also you kill the little destroyer like two seconds later.
I watch alot of Easter eggs for games and I saw this video and thought I would've saw them all I'd seen a few of them but alot were new to me and I appreciate how much effort you put into you videos.
You missed a few references. One of them combines Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, with Pokemon as you catch critters in pokeball grenades. Another has a Claptrap that is a reference to Shodan of System Shock talking to another that represents a non-killer version of Hal9000 from Space Odyssey. There's also a rare enemy spawn near the beginning of the game that is a reference to Sonic the Hedgehog. He even drops a ton of cash pickups when killed, simulating the rings that Sonic drops upon hitting a hazard. I'm sure people will mention the Tannisfish being a reference to the game Seaman. I'm probably missing a few myself.
In the Mario room you can actually replicate the secret warp room by climbing over the stage and proceeding to a room with three pipes(and extra loot). For the most loot you should grab the chests in the normal exit then backtrack and climb up to the warp room.
There is a sidequest where you have to find a Swagmans mate who was searching for a billabong. When you find the swaggies pal he will be lying down dead, in which you can check his body and find an audio log which contains a recording of the fallen fellow. He talks about how he saw a purple billabong and found a rare Jumbuck. You are then tasked on finding his bag that was taken by Kraggons. After murdering to death the Kraggons you grab his bag and return it to the Swagman who gave you the quest in the first place, Revealing that the Jumbuck was in the bag and that it's real. This entire quest is a referance to A famous Australian Poem called 'Waltzing Matilda', where a Swagman is camping at a billabong, with his Billy boiling, when a Jumbuck (Sheep) strays into his sight. The Swaggie jumps up and grabs the Jumbuck with glee, kills it, and shoves it into his tuckerbag. Then up rode the squatter (farmer) on his horse, and down rode 3 troopers. They catch him, and The Swagman does what no sane person would do. He yells "You'll never take me alive!" And jumps into the billabong, and drowns And thats the end of the poem, and there is probaly some other referances to the great non-existing upside down land down under that i don't know of, It's 2k Australia after all of course there's probally 1million of these Aussie easter eggs that i have no clue about.
When one of the clap traps (the lighting red or ‘pink’ claptrap) says “it’s lightish red, not pink!” Which is a reference to red vs blue: donut’s armor
The Helios Laser is charging the same way the death star's laser(little lasers connecting one by one in a single spot), and i dont think its a coincidence
There is a second easter egg in the super mario level, if you reach the highest point of the level, you can walk over the edge and going in another room with 3 pipes and 3 chest
I think you missed the character with a high-pitched voice in Triton Flats asking you to raise the flag and giving encouragements like "Jolly good show", which is a reference (since the phrases and the voice is similar) to Pops in Regular Show.
The Darksiders sign is also a reference to the game Darksiders. Also to note is that the Pre-Sequel is only a prequel to the second game, not the first.
when picking your character if you read claptraps combat style description it reads: "its not stupid, its advanced!" Which is a reference to the first episode of invader zim
The fish woman is also a reference to that one game nobody remember fishman or something like that where you take care of a fish with a man's face and watch as it goes through life
DJay you mean Rk5? He’s an armored target, so use corrosive dmg, he’s also a flying target so use a clear skies O2 kit. He also has a horizontal row of crit spots at his windshields. I recommend a corrosive pitchfork, the horizontal spread will absolutely MELT RK5! You can grind 2 legendaries and a purple sniper(make sure to have moonstones) to have a chance at getting a pitchfork sniper
I’m able to melt RK5 immediately with my Wilhelm character! Who said wilhelm was weak? I’ve played all characters and wilhelm took RK5 out the quickest using the method I mentioned.
There is also a reference to the movie Demolition Man and it's when you first enter Concordia and meet the blue cop Claptrap. He gives you 2 violations of the verbal space morality statute just like in the movie

-YOU MISSED A GHOSTBUSTERS EASTER EGG REFERENCE!- The code that pickle asks you to input into the Dhal door is 1984, the release date of the original ghostbusters movie.
I just found a new easter egg and it's a reference to a family-friendly children TV show called My Little Pony, it's on a loading screen and it's not listed in the load screen messages on the official Borderlands wiki, I don't know what the text said completely, but I saw a few specific choice of words "You're... Going to LOVE ME!" It's a reference to the Grand Galloping Gala where Fluttershy shouts towards the animals in the garden of the castle because she's getting frustrated about the fact that the animals don't listen to her, even though she's able to understand them, and, with not listed, I mean there's no section for loading screen messages for Borderlands the Pre-Sequel at all, on the wiki, that tab doesn't exist at all, even searching on Google, I can't find anything about Borderlands the Pre-Sequel loading screen messages
When you use the grinder in Concordia and get a moonshine weapon there's a chance the machine will say "get a cool, get a cool moonshine" referencing the song 19-2000 from the Gorillaz.
Actually it's both, the Sword itself is called "Excaligoat" plus there's a reference to Vinesauce's corruption video "Zelda can't Triforce" (Look at the Triforce in Goat Simulator And one of the corruptions from the before mentioned video)
This is not a prequel to the other borderlands games, this happens between borderlands 1 and 2, plus Nakayama clearly states its a clone of the destroyer that tried killing the OGVH's
I'm currently trying to do b:tps true vault hunter mode Specifically at col . T . sarpedon With only the claptastic voyage TeX . coach gun Wish me luck
You're a little late buddy with the Easter egg video the game is really old and the Easter eggs were discovered a long time ago and videos have been done

Captain Eggcellent I’m surprised you didn’t point out the Sea-Man referance in the tank with the Big Daddy head!
I just gotta correct you on something, the pre sequel is not a prequel to the other games, it's a sequel to borderlands and a prequel to borderlands 2, that wasn't a young destroyer it was a tiny clone
I played border lands 3 at my freinds house on his xbox
"This next Easter egg is a little more light hearted." Buzz Light-year jumps off a building and kills himself

The second to last (Big Daddy) reference is actually 2 references in one. Tannis having a fish body is a reference to a Sega Dreamcast game called Seaman.
Hated that game as a kid.
Cybrium [APT] [cherry] lmao I watched Avgn play it
It was actually 3 references in one. She throws back to the robolution dlc from the first borderlands game when she says "and it's not collecting robot parts". Those missions were annoying as hell because it was all one big fetch quest.
@@zerabidotter1755 the mission was a bless comparing it to the achievements...
10:12. Oh wow...i always thought that box was a reference to the Mechromancer. Now I know its truth and it has really touched my heart
There's a sidequest referencing Pokemon and references to Obi-Wan Kenobi and a lightsaber during that Star Wars Easter Egg also.
Handsome Jack sup jack

there a reference to akira in there too. Every so often one of the pychos will say "Tetsuo!"
1:24 that isn't a "triangle", that is a Prism lol.
In the one of the missions in the claptastic adventure dlc, Handsome Jack says "you think that's air you're breathing?" Which references the Matrix
For the Mario Easter egg, if you climb up to the top and walk forward, you'll enter a warp zone. Just like in super Mario.
I watch alot of Easter eggs for games and I saw this video and thought I would've saw them all I'd seen a few of them but alot were new to me and I appreciate how much effort you put into you videos.

When one of the clap traps (the lighting red or ‘pink’ claptrap) says “it’s lightish red, not pink!” Which is a reference to red vs blue: donut’s armor
You forgot to mention that Handsome Jack actually makes a comment about the Super Mario Bros. area if you enter during the final story mission.
The Mario Easter egg music kind of sounds like the Mario Easter egg music in Dying light
Hope some developer saw this video and inspired to make an easter eggs about Big Bird
What’s really cool is when you kill the named enemies in the darksiders story mission, there’s a bit of music that plays
You have to listen for it
Captian eggcellent: "you find a d and a k I wonder what these could be for." Me: dk donkey Kong.
You forgot the Godzilla easter egg, man!
And the special kraggon, coloured blue with red paws called Phonic the Kraggon ;)

There is a second easter egg in the super mario level, if you reach the highest point of the level, you can walk over the edge and going in another room with 3 pipes and 3 chest

When the buzz lightyear Easter egg shows up I knew it was buzz
It's more Australian than the Ramsey's drinking fosters at the Barbie on ANZACs day...
My favorite Easter eggs in the Borderlands Pre-Sequel are the Space Jam reference and the Men in Black on the cyber eagle
I think you missed the character with a high-pitched voice in Triton Flats asking you to raise the flag and giving encouragements like "Jolly good show", which is a reference (since the phrases and the voice is similar) to Pops in Regular Show.
at 5:30 he misses the “Too many cooks” easter egg and its litterally spoken at him
Handsome jack + Excalibur equals the best villain pop culture has known. Not that he wasn’t the best video game villain already
The Darksiders sign is also a reference to the game Darksiders.
Also to note is that the Pre-Sequel is only a prequel to the second game, not the first.
you missed a few matrix references but i swear ive died to that black hole before so the super mario easter egg blew my mind man!
when picking your character if you read claptraps combat style description it reads: "its not stupid, its advanced!" Which is a reference to the first episode of invader zim

Yes. No other words except yes.
