🤣🤣🤣🤣☺️🇬🇧
I work for Burlen, so I thought I would say thank you so much for visiting our stand and your kind words!
There's nothing else like Goodwood Revival... epic event... thanks for the great coverage! 👍😎
Thanks for letting me attend Goodwood, too!
What a wonderful scene!
Thank you Richard for this experience, I could almost smell it!
"overwhelming!" describes all of the Goodwood motor racing events. Sooooo much to see
You captured this whole event so well... I just watched it again.. thank u! 🍺
Fantastic video! The quality of the cars youve shown surely couldnt be bettered anywhere!
Goodwood Revival, there's nothing compares. I've been many times though couldn't make it this year .... but your superlative vid took me there. Thank you Richard.
Got tickets for this year, it's been on my bucket list for a long time. Thanks for the preview.
this is fantastic and you are amazing! Thank you for posting this.
I appreciate your knowledge and the opportunity for us mortals to have an inside look at automotive royalty that many of us never get to see running and driving which is a real treat. Your knowledge is admirable.
Wow! No kidding Richard. This event looks spectacular. The Revival has been on my bucket list for a while, and your vids are just reinforcing my desire to go. I really appreciate the effort you've taken to do this for us. Thanks so much! 👏👏👏👏
Thanks Scott, I really couldn't stop filming in the mornings then watching the afternoon races.
Scott, I've been to three Revivals. I don't know how old you are, but here it is: get there ASAP. Take out a loan if you have to. But go - there's nothing else in the world like it. Make sure you get pit access. It's a sensory overload that usually takes me a week to descend from. But don't wait. Don't. And the racing is full-blooded competition as well - no gentlemen's cantering here. It's just wonderful.
Scott, it's now on my bucket list for next year for definite and I'm going to do the three days!!
@@caribman10 Thx for the encouragement 👍. I've already talked to my wife about changing the dates of our planned UK trip next year (already purchased tix, but can change dates) to coincide with the Revival & she's on board. Have started looking around for vintage clothing too 🙂.
@@smacdougall100 I live 20mins from goodwood😃
I never heard of Goodwood before until i watched another video of a girl showing classsic cars. This is a nice video, cheers
Richard what a brilliant video, you managed to capture the whole goodwood rivival experience. I myself have been four times to the rivival. Watching this made me feel I was there with you. What they show on TV is mainly the racing, which is good, but you have capture the spirit of the weekend.
Fantastic video Richard... So much to see there you need all 3 days...... I am so happy that the weather stayed fine for for you..... ps: the small red car number 58 at 36:38 is Bruce McLaren's first race car, and is normally on display at their HQ... :-))
Richard, you lucky guy! An hour and fifteen minutes (!) and loved every minute. Definitely on my bucket list. Great vid, thanks so much!
That V16!!! Insane!!!
Incredible event captured perfectly. Thanks so much Mr. Owens!
Goodwood is hands down the best auto revival event anywhere...Monterey isn't even a close second. I have watched numerous Goodwood videos...and Micheal this particular video IMO is the best I have seen that gives the viewer a excellent over all feel for what Goodwood is all about...you are the only one that shows engine and cockpit details up close that I have been able to find, you speak with knowledge and passion about the vehicle's your shooting...maybe there are other vidoes doing the same, I just haven't seen them. Vendor shots of reproduction Alfa engine's and various parts...Rebuilt/ Reproduction carbs!!! My, God those are beautiful!!! Thanks for doing such a good job.
Thanks for the kind words! Cheers!
Beautiful event!! Lot of amazing cars, well dressed gentlemen and charming ladies..!
Thank you Richard - what a fantastic video.
As they say, you smashed it. Had I known you were over, I´d have frogmarched you to the nearest bar and bought you a pint or two. Not only is this particular video wonderful to watch and above all extremely well narrated, but for the last 2 years I have watched and rewatched your junk E-type and XK120 engine rebuild clips to make sure that my XK120 SE engine looks like you had been hand built by you and for that Richard, I owe you a pint.
I´ll be there in 2023 - hope to see you then.
OK Christain thanks for watching, see in you in 2023!~
Thank you Richard. Much enjoy your contents!!!
Your passion for classic cars shows!!
Most whitey!
Richard, Thanks for transporting all of us viewers who have never been. Your historic knowledge and videography are superb. Well done indeed😊
What a beautiful assortment of British sports cars. Enjoyed them greatly.
Couldn’t help but notice a certain hovering around the Jaguar areas! Understandably too! Great content and quality! Cheers
Love to see the out-takes. Presentation wonderfull.
Thank you very much for the extended production.
WOW WOW WOW and another WOW.
Wow, this great video will make me go there. What an amazing event.
Thank you for bringing this to my living room 😍👌🏼
Thank you Richard, watching from down under I had no idea this was such a massive event.
Really enjoyed that, thank you! Although i'd also liked to have seen some of the humbler commercial or military vehicles too. Related trivia: RAF Westhampnett, as Goodwood aerodrome was known during the war, was the last airfield from which Douglas Bader flew before being shot down and captured.
Military, I'd be really out of my element there. But definitely would make a good video.
My wife and I had an invite for the weekend but unfortunately we couldn't make it so watching this gave a really good taste of what we missed 👌
I actually like those pre-war BMWs. Madness.
Richard, thank you.......Ive watched dozens/hundreds of hrs of Goodwood over the yrs.....this vid put me there....fantastic........
Thanks for wonderful footage of BRM F1 car.
Fun facts:
At 2:40 you can see front suspension of that car. Very similar design was used earlier in the 1930's by Doctor Porsche for Auto Union race cars (Silver Arrows). Later the same thing was repeated with VW Beetle and Porsche 356, but ball joints was placed vertically. Then the same idea was used again in a production car. It was Zaporoshets 965 and 968 models - smallest and cheapest soviet cars. But (to my knowledge) it was the only time when ball joints was placed horizontally! Like on a race cars 🤣
Hmm... at 29:45 and 29:50... 1930's ERA cars... very similar looking front suspension 🤔
Never knew about that 🤷♂️
Hi Richard! Good fun to see your videos from Goodwood! Got to see myself and my uncle in the paddock too! Always a wonderful event. We go every year, from the Spirit of Aviation party, all the way to the end on Sunday! Thanks for posting, they bring back good memories!
That you for the show
Thanks for taking the time so we all could enjoy looking at those wonderful automobiles.
An English friend of mine who goes to Goodwood every year, because of all the auctions and dealers and the prices they ask, refers to the event as "The Goodwood Festival of Greed." Have never been myself but it looks like quite an event.
Yes many commercial interests, I prefer to remain indifferent. Goodwood supports a great many classic car shops in the UK.
What a experience to look at these Classic Racecars.
What an incredible event. I hope you all know how fortunate you are.
The GT40 silver and blue stripe was built by my uncle, it's got Graham hill steering wheel fitted to it from when they won in the late 1960s.
The car has only done 7miles and I was in it on the good wood hill climb 1995.
Awesome video, loved the detail on those old classics. Well done, thank you 👍🏾
what an awesome video , well done .. this goes some way in just a small part to explain just how good this event is,, my wife comes with me.. and she adores it for the fashion side .. and even loves the watching the racing 1st or last the cars to watch sliding through the corners is just exciting.. a great snippet insight into this event ..
Great vídeo thanks, I no longer need to go to goodwood anymore.....
I can't afford to go every year 😁
Amazing, thank you.
Great vid thank you
Brilliant, thanks so much.
That was just stunning to see, thank you so much!

Yeah I was thinking the same.
Great video Rich.
This is a great review, thanks for posting.
Thank you, you really captured the feeling of the revival!
Brilliant work!
Thank you .
Great coverage. I was at this event and loved it
Thank you Richard, a top video 👌🍺🇬🇧
Another great video Richard, thank you. It is wonderful to see the cars static and on display but so good to hear them and see them racing in earnest, quite amazing. Kind regards, Richard.
Thanks Richard, really enjoyed your reportage and the fantastic line up of vehicles, I never realized the sheer size AND NUMBER of entrants. Great job!!
Great video! You've inspired me to go next year!
Very enthralling and excellent vid
Thank you, never been to Good wood.... But your presentation is..... Absolutely...... Amazing *
Your coverage of the Goodwood Revival and Pebble Beach (a few weeks ago) were excellent. I appreciate all the time and editing it took plus your knowledge of these wonderful historic automobiles.
Fantsastic video ! I feel like I'm there !!! thank you Richard ;)
Loads thanks Richard ! Wahoo !
Love automotive history.
Thank you for this wonderful walk about of my top 5 bucket list...you made it feel like we were right there with you...Goodwood is the finest automobile love fest in the known world😃
Most enjoyable!
Thanks!
Awesome Kent great to have you along. Cheers!
I felt like I was there!
Richard . One hour , sixteen minutes and twenty nine seconds of absolute heaven ! In my opinion your coverage surpassed Goodwoods coverage by a country mile ! Was that your good lady posing in front of David Browns Aston ? Brilliant work Richard . Thankyou .
Very good review. Well done
Lovely bit of film, almost as interesting as you workshop footage.I used to maintain some of the machines which produced the S.U. carbs at the "Patent Die" factory, very nice to see the carbs, being made to look better than new...
Great clear HD footage thanks.
There are lots more vintage aircraft to see on the airfield too oh and don't forget the day and night musical entertainment in the various tents.
Rockabilly 🎶🎻🎶
Swing and Jazz 🎶🎻🎶
And don't forget the food and Craft Ale part of it too. 🍺🍺🍺🍺
Best fest on the planet for me 👍💜
Jules yes stay late Saturday night, missed out big time!
Thanks Richard really enjoyed your review, loved the SU stand, After watching your builds I was noticing ignition leads needing tidying. .lol GN
Incroyables collections !! Fabuleux ...
Great, thank you for sharing !
Zoom zoom
Thanks for sharing your experience ! 👍
One other thing I would like to say . Your knowledge of cars in this video made it much more interesting and educational for any car enthusiast to watch .
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the period dressing up. Come on USA, you are really missing out with an event like this.
Old car festival at greenfield village near Detroit.
Glad you enjoyed it, man! I live just 25 minutes away from Goodwood and absolutely adore it (hence my banner and profile pic on my channel), so I can go anytime I want and get to watch all the traffic from the Revival going home! One time someone even pulled over to ask if I was watching the cars leave and gave me 2 tickets for free.
Mclaren M1B has to be one of the sexiest race cars ever.
LOVE
How nice to see David Brown's DB3 f/h coupe' : I have a photograph of the car leaving the car park at the Silverstone Daily Express Trophymeeting in May 1955 with Angela Brown at the wheel. My father recognised the car instantly ,and snapped it. I recall how excited he was : I'm rather surprised you didn't recognise the power plant of the Atalanta , Mr Owen: The V12 flat-head, another Edsel Ford whim, came from across the Atlantic , borrowed from the Lincoln Zephyr , if I'm not mistaken.
Great to hear from you, Lincoln motor that makes sense looked like a flat head Ford!
NOW YOU IN THE RIGHT PALACE LAD . 😊😊😊😊😊
I went on the Saturday and only saw half of what you saw i think i need to go on my own next year so i can get around the place and take it all in ..
You got far better engine sounds than the live coverage managed to capture.
There's nothing like checking the timing on a running engine when wearing a tie! Looks like a nice day. When I went to Goodwood Revival it rained all day - bad for the feet but brought the more skillful drivers to the fore and the checkered flag. Got to see the late great Stirling Moss in person.
Thank,s for watching.......2/2023 !
Richard you should have spent more time in the pre 66 car park. So much rare stuff just driven to the event. A show in its own right!
Next time, would have been hard since the English like recreations!
48.2 mmmmm! Glad you could make it over Richard.
Foreign Sports cars never fascinated me...I like American Muscle.
Thanks for the comprehensive cover, we’ll done. Pity there weren’t more Morgans, but, you can’t have it all I suppose…. 😬
29:54 The blue one is the much famed Romulus - the ERA raced by Prince Bira of Siam / Thailand in England and abroad.
